EN The exhibition "Branchings / Verzweigungen" brings together three artists under the theme of the tree, its branches and the spaces they enclose. The artists approach it in a very personal way. Uwe Poth works about the relationship between the tree and the city. Pedro Calapez focuses on a reclining tree whose branches are touched by a breath that indicates a new cycle. Christoph Both-Asmus climbs at the finest and highest branches in a unique and vital experience between sky and earth.To remember nature and to look at it with attention is also to remember our place and our role, to reconcile ourselves with our environment, with others and why not... with ourselves.

DE  Die Ausstellung „Branchings / Verzweigungen“  zeigt Arbeiten dreier Künstler, die sich – jeder von ihnen auf sehr persönliche Art und Weise – mit dem Thema des Baums, seinen Verzweigungen und dem Raum, den diese begrenzen, beschäftigen.  Uwe Poth interessiert der Baum im Verhältnis zum urbanen Raum. Pedro Calapez widmet sich in seiner Arbeit einem umgestürzten Baum, durch dessen Zweige ein Windhauch, der Neuanfang verspricht, weht. Christoph Both-Asmus erklimmt die höchsten und dünnsten Äste der Bäume – eine Art Grenzerfahrung zwischen Himmel und Erde.
Sich der Natur zu erinnern und sie zu betrachten, heißt auch, sich unseren Platz und unsere Rolle zu vergegenwärtigen, uns mit unserer Umgebung zu versöhnen, mit den Anderen und – warum nicht... mit uns selbst.

PT A exposição "Branchings/Verzweigungen" reúne três artistas à volta do tema da árvore, das suas ramificações e dos espaços que elas delimitam. Os artistas abordam-no de modo muito pessoal. Uwe Poth trabalha a relação da árvore com o meio urbano. Pedro Calapez debruça-se sobre uma árvore jacente cujos ramos deixam passar uma respiração que indicia um novo ciclo. Christoph Both-Asmus sobe às mais finas hastes numa experiência-limite entre o céu e a terra.Relembrar a natureza e contemplá-la é também relembrar o nosso lugar e o nosso papel, reconciliar-nos com o que nos rodeia, com os outros e porque não...connosco próprios.

The show “Salon Kuiperdomingos / A prospective get-together” is inspired by the French Salon of the 18th & 19th century, a meeting place of a network of 'connoisseurs' and artists, where the art...ists were showing their latest works and where discussions took place. Inspired by this idea we create a Salon filled with 2 dimensional works covering the walls of the art space. A basic idea inspiring the initiators of Kuiperdomingos Projects, is the idea of the 'network'. We invited artists and curators from our direct network to participate and let each of them invite another artist. With this idea in mind we create a visual tree of works of an artistic community currently roaming around creative Berlin and those that are part of our extended network. Each artist has 1 m2 at his/her disposal and is free to show any bidimensional work. The Salon is the inspiration and ideas coming into our mind are 'the medium of painting, portraiture, nude paintings, woman with mirror, woman in the bathroom, still life, landscape, interior and exterior spaces, ornament and geometry'.
