Sarah | She/Her | 23 | Heya! I'm someone who is way too obsessed with all things Fata Morgana atm, and usually cosplay and vocaloid too, with a little bit of Zelda and other random stuff 😁

Shoutout to all the people who work tirelessly to keep their fandoms going, even after canon has ended. Kudos to the mods who organize rewatches, fic challenges, and other fandom events. High fives to the people who keep posting new art, fic, meta, and headcanons. A collective pat on the back for the people who like, reblog, and comment on the new fanworks and remember the older works as well.
If you’re on Tumblr reading this, chances are good that you fall into one of these categories. So shoutout to YOU, and to all of us.

Literally anything and everything Fata Morgana 👀(Many spoilers ahead!)
So- I’ve spent this entire month playing all of the games in the Fata Morgana series (fata morgana, requiem for innocence, reincarnation and seventh lair), along with reading all of the short stories, and I’m absolutely in love with this series! ❤️I really can’t put it into words well, but I’ll try: (spoilers ahead) The House in Fata Morgana is a visual novel and is really similar to things like Higurashi/Umineko/The Letter, but it really stands out in a few unique ways- At the end of it all, it’s an extremely long and interconnected story that deals with many different kinds of trauma and explores the idea of moving on and letting go without forgiveness. It can be difficult to sit through the first 8-10ish hours of gameplay as you’re being shown different stories, but once you really start to understand what’s going on, you’re completely sucked into the story and shown so many details of so many different characters’ lives and personal struggles. I really loved the dynamic between Giselle and Michel, even though in some ways it can be seen as a redone beauty and the beast story- It felt very genuine and fleshed out to me, and I really liked seeing Michel grow into himself as a character and move past his personal traumas, while Giselle did the same as they supported each other and grew to understand each other’s stories. I initially struggled with both Morgana and Jacopo, but for different reasons- I was growing frustrated with Morgana not being able to let go of what had happened so that it would stop hurting her, and I was getting really irritated with Jacopo’s character and apparent lack of responsibility/empathy. By the time I’d finished the entire series though, I came around to both of them and started to understand both of their dynamics quite a bit better, especially with Jacopo and his mental decline at the end of requiem for innocence. I also really love how there’s never a point in the series where Morgana is really “forced” to forgive anyone for what happened. (I know Michel does try to mold her into this view in a lot of ways, but she’s always given the power to make her own decisions as she chooses.) I really appreciated how the series acknowledged that she could come to her own conclusions and continue her journey however she desired without feeling like the story was forcing her to move past everything so abruptly. That point, along with some of the dynamics between Giselle & Michel really echoed back to some of my personal experiences, and I loved seeing them from a different point of view. (For example, the scene in reincarnation where Jacopo points out to Morgana that religious guilt shouldn’t dictate her entire life.) I could gush about this series forever (and absolutely will!), but I hope others really enjoyed the story too and have something to mull over for a while. I’ll definitely never forget this story, and I’m looking forward to being a part of this fandom for years to come! ❤️

Just an interesting tidbit that I discovered recently! 🌳 🌺 🌳 🌺 🌳
When I went to pay my electric bill last month I remembered that DTE (up here in Michigan) had announced their net zero goals, but I didn’t realize that the average person can actually choose to pay for renewable energy, too!
Long story short, Michigan is in a smaller grid that resides in an even larger grid, and the vast majority of its energy is sourced from coal and natural gas. However, you can customize your energy consumption to comprise of partially or completely solar & wind based sources. I hyperlinked DTE’s general page here, but to find more information or sign up, scroll down to the MIGreenPower section. For those who live outside of Michigan, I urge you to do a little bit of digging to find out how your energy is sourced!

Thanksgiving donations!
I wanted to share a resource here if anyone was looking for a quality organization to donate to this upcoming holiday! We have an organization here in Michigan that has been working with Detroiters for years called Cass Community Social Services, and they still need a little bit of extra help this year. I'm going to share a link of a newscast that shows the work they do as well as a link to their personal website. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope that you have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!

Ok so this post is extremely long and I put it all together for my blogs Feeling sad page but as I don’t have a huge amount of followers I realize so many people are not seeing this information so I’m posting it here too!
alternatives without harming yourself:
holding/squeezing ice.
splashing your face with water.
getting a rubber band and snapping it against your skin (this could hurt, though it’s better than other ways that people usually choose to self-harm).
take a hot shower or bath.
eat something sour. it will take your mind of the urge. (lemon, sour lollies)
massage where you want to self-harm.
get a red pen or red paint and draw/paint over where you usually self-harm.
remind yourself as to why you shouldn’t do it. (scars, harms organs, leave memories etc…)
describe what you are feeling. (is the urge/pain in your chest, fists, legs, arms, head).
killing yourself will not help. it is not a solution.
you have your whole life ahead of you. you have so many more years that you can accomplish things in. for example;
having a family.
getting married.
to watch the sun rise.
to watch the sun set.
to save someone else’s life.
finish school.
get your dream job.
to laugh.
to smile.
to go camping.
travel to new places.
to wake up every morning to the person you love.
friends.
family.
to keep that promise you made.
to accomplish a goal.
to meet your idol.
to listen to new music.
theme parks.
video games.
chocolate.
to be able to look back and say “i made it”.
what you’re going through is temporary.
in case you need to hear this:
you are loved.
you are wanted.
you are needed.
you are beautiful.
you are handsome.
you are important.
you are not alone.
you are okay.
you are strong.
you are worth it.
you are smart.
you are not a failure.
you are useful.
you are going to be okay.

Donations for Domestic Violence
I recieved an email this morning from Unicef about domestic violence situations with children and how they've worsened since the start of the pandemic. This issue hits home for me, as well as for quite a few folks I've grown up with over the years. I've donated to them on and off throughout the years and I wanted to share a post here too! If you have the resources or are able to share this, please do!
