girl typing a very specific question into google search bar, scrunching her face as she takes time to make sure she hasn't made any spelling errors, hitting enter, shaking her head as google only presents her with unhelpful websites that don't answer her query at all, moving her cursor back to the search bar and clicking on it so she can carefully write 'reddit' at the end, hitting enter again, sighing with relief as she finds a link to a reddit post asking the exact question she needed answered posted in a subreddit for a very niche topic, finally moving her cursor to click on the link, wondering why she didn't go straight to the subreddit earlier, only to be met with a deleted comment with a reply from the OP stating 'that was very helpful, thanks', sighing with frustration as she moves her cursor back to the search bar so she can copy the link and paste it into the wayback machine,
THERE! I finished the Mermay Sirens! Daycare Attendant boys finally :D
I didn’t really pick a specfic fish for either of them to based off of, just kinda winged it. Also, their legends:
Siren of the Sun: Good Omen, you’ll have easy waters and a safe voyage, as long as you respect the sea. So no littering, no disrespect, sail during the day, and if you break these rules then the Sun siren will punish you, or you may even bring forth the Bad Omen.
Siren of the Moon: Bad Omen, you’ll face rough waters that will try to sink your ship, if the monsters below don’t rip it to pieces first. Rumored to eat people for fun, but can be avoided if you don’t sail at night, and not break any rules of the sea while you’re sailing.
Their eyes and the tips of their fins can change color like some of my other doodles, but I’m too lazy to make all the variations lol
I also have an Eclipse version I’m cooking up but that’s for another post :P
"Maybe it’s because our political discourse swings between deranged and abhorrent on a daily basis and we would like to combat our feelings of powerlessness by insisting on moral simplicity in the stories we tell and receive. Or maybe it’s because many of the transgressions that flew under the radar in previous generations — acts of misogyny, racism and homophobia; abuses of power both macro and micro — are now being called out directly. We’re so intoxicated by openly naming these ills that we have begun operating under the misconception that to acknowledge each other’s complexity, in our communities as well as in our art, is to condone each other’s cruelties."
Y'knw that previous ask made me wonder: Why did the present Lamb decide to revive the Bishops and make them part of their cult instead of killing them for good?
Doesn't seem like the Lamb actually likes any of them and is more taking care of them because they take care of every cult member.
And the Bishops sure as hell don't seem to regret what they did to the Lamb.
Except for Shamura's, the bishops's thoughts are their entertainment.
