his other hand comes up, palm curving to cradle the top of her head. he knows exactly where this comes from, and his heart wrenches as though it could burst from the pressure of pains and the void of memories never made, and there’s nothing he can do to make it better for either of them. he cannot bring other people back, and he can’t promise not to ever leave. he doesn’t lie.

maybe if he just shuts up, she’ll wear herself out eventually.

  With still a hand keeping his own captive, and her arm tightly around his side - she couldn’t let go. Whether he or anyone else noted or not, he seemed to need more than just a hug and a hand held comfort, making her inhale slowly with a huffy sigh to lax afterward.  “You..”  Eyes water momentarily, but a tight shut and a quick fix of a nuzzle to warm her face to rid of any incoming emotions.

  “You don’t have to leave anymore, especially when you don’t want to.”

Whether those were the right words or not, she made no intent of tiring - letting go, or even giving up. He raised her too, he should know he played a part in the practical stubborn trait that lies in her as of today. Instead it only works as a stronger vice to keep going until he gave in.
