At the end of the swap Tobias has to return to New York to finish his contract, while Gabin has to stay in Paris for the same reasons. They’ve spoken about it and said they’ll try and do long distance then talk about if one of them will relocate closer to the end of their contracts.
As soon as Tobias steps on the plane the sulking starts.
Gabin is zoned out in rehearsals, he’s constantly pouting like a kicked puppy, he’s back to having minor roles so he’s restless which means he has taken up the habit of loudly critiquing dancers and choreographers alike because “that’s not the way Tobias would do it.”
Meanwhile in New York, Tobias is a lot more high strung than usual. He struggles to choreograph a full routine. He’s huffing a lot more and keeps mentioning how Gabin would just understand what he wants. No one has a clue who Gabin is.
Finally Geneviève breaks and calls Jack saying how Gabin is being a massive pain and is bringing down company morale with his sulking. Initially Jack is like ‘who?’ but when she explains he’s Tobias’ he’s like “ohhhhh, THAT’S why Tobias is being weirder than usual!” And Genevieve is like “You too? Thank god! Also I may have just solved our problems. I’m sending you Gabin, he can finish his contract in New York. He’s already on the plane so you can’t say no.” And Jack’s like “Great, I’ll go tell Tobias so he can finally do something productive rather than just yell at my dancers.”
So he goes to the rehearsal room, but Tobias isn’t there. He asks the dancers and they say he hasn’t been there all day, nor was he in yesterday. Jack starts to get a very bad feeling he knows what’s happened but he prays he’s wrong. He calls Tobias who, as per usual, doesn’t pick up. He looks at planes from New York to Paris and calls Geneviève, telling her she needs to get to the airport.
Turns out, Tobias reached breaking point and got on a plane to Paris without telling anyone so he could go see Gabin. Problem is, he reached breaking point around the same time as Genevieve, and he and Gabin missed each other at the airport by a few hours, probably flew past each other even.
So now, instead of solving the problem, Genevieve is stuck tracking down Tobias once more and breaking the news to him that Gabin isn’t there, while Jack is having to collect this random French ballet dancer who is so excited to be in New York but then makes it everyone else’s problem when he realises Tobias ran away to Paris.
Genevieve and Jack then have to negotiate which one will be sent back, because neither really wants to keep the one they’ve got but they also realise the two can’t be apart because they’re so codependent now. Add on the fact that they have to babysit their prospective charges until they decide where they’re going to stay because they keep trying to go back to where they were originally to be with the other and, knowing them, will probably cause the exact same situation in reverse, and then they’ll get more annoying over not being together and Jack and Genevieve will have bigger headaches and Cheyenne will get angry about the amount of jet fuel they’re using on such a silly charade.

By the way, you can improve your executive function. You can literally build it like a muscle.
Yes, even if you're neurodivergent. I don't have ADHD, but it is allegedly a thing with ADHD as well. And I am autistic, and after a bunch of nerve damage (severe enough that I was basically housebound for 6 months), I had to completely rebuild my ability to get my brain to Do Things from what felt like nearly scratch.
This is specifically from ADDitude magazine, so written specifically for ADHD (and while focused in large part on kids, also definitely includes adults and adult activities):
Here's a link on this for autism (though as an editor wow did that title need an editor lol):
Resources on this aren't great because they're mainly aimed at neurotypical therapists or parents of neurdivergent children. There's worksheets you can do that help a lot too or thought work you can do to sort of build the neuro-infrastructure for tasks.
But a lot of the stuff is just like. fun. Pulling from both the first article and my own experience:
Play games or video games where you have to make a lot of decisions. Literally go make a ton of picrews or do online dress-up dolls if you like. It helped me.
Art, especially forms of art that require patience, planning ahead, or in contrast improvisation
Listening to longform storytelling without visuals, e.g. just listening regularly to audiobooks or narrative podcasts, etc.
Meditation
Martial arts
Sports in general
Board games like chess or Catan (I actually found a big list of what board games are good for building what executive functioning skills here)
Woodworking
Cooking
If you're bad at time management play games or video games with a bunch of timers
Things can be easier. You do not have to be stuck forever.

buck: trying his best to hold things together, checking in with everyone and being there even if he doesn't know how
eddie: invalidates bucks grief, goes on about how much worse it was for him than everyone else, blames buck (???) for apparently not doing everything he can to save bobby because he's feeling guilty for leaving
also eddie: why are you making everything about you

*spoilers for hogwarts legacy*
What. The. Fuck.
Literally what the fuck was that store mission in hogwarts legacy??!? I was all excited about a wholesome mission and getting my own place to sell my things instead of bankrupting the nearest vendor and then all the sudden mannequins are hanging from the ceiling and I’m fearing for my life. I literally felt like I started a new genre of game without realizing. That was terrifying.
I literally started that mission saying it’d be my last and how cute to end on a high note for the night…. An hour later I’ve gone through hell and back and need to determine the slavery status of a house elf (freed her don’t worry) and I’ll probably have mannequin themed nightmares tonight.
This is what I get for going into a game blind.

you guys know you can get USB connectable CD, dvd, and blu-ray players right. and you can buy external hard drives with crazy amounts of space for an amount of money that would make the average person from 2009’s head explode bc of how cheap it is. and if you do this and get ripping software such as handbrake for CDs and DVDs and makeMKV for blurays you can both own a physical copy of whatever media you want and make it accessible to yourself no matter where you are. do you guys know this
