ATTENTION ARTISTS-!

Please be wary of scams when it comes to commissions, not just from this user, but from anything that looks like this!

I just got my first scam, and although I can laugh it off because I didn't lose anything, many aren't so lucky.

Some red flags to look out for in the example shown below:

- Strange formal, almost robotic phrasing.

- Ignores questions asking for details of the commission, is eager to get to the payment process.

- Fishy email. PayPal never does this-! Always check the name of the email, as there will be clues. (Additional numbers, missing logo/icon, etc.)

- A sudden surge of messages after you express suspicion, trying to convince you. (An elaborate story. "I always do this", etc.)

REMEMBER:

They may call you. They may guilt trip you, claiming to have already lost money. Or expressing disgust that you called them a scam.

If something is even slightly suspicious, don't hesitate to do further research or even ask for second opinions! And in cases like this, don't hesitate to use that block button for your own mental health.

Be careful out there!
