Annual Purge Day, Souls/Saints’ Day, Single Awareness Day, Independence Day and National Flowers Day are only few of the many names given by single people to what most couples celebrate today – the Valentines Day. BITTER – is what we usually coin those people who do not want to admit that today is officially heart’s day. Although it is true that it’s a day not only for lovers but for everyone who loves and is loved, there’s also no denying that today is actually a day especially declared for them lovebirds. (Though I am not saying it’s weird to get flowers or chocolates from your sister.)
I, for one, is a member of the long-running Single Squad Series. I am one of those who don’t want to personally acknowledge Valentine’s Day and its purpose. Why? Because I always get teased for choosing to stay single. Can I not? I find happiness in being single, to be honest (as of the moment). No text messages to send and reply to, no late night conversations to attend to, no special dates to remember and no commitments to submit to. I can like as many oppa and senpai to my heart’s content.
But of course, I am not fully bitter about celebrating V-Day. I have friends who support me for being single because they also are. *insert evil grin here* So, to commemorate this day, I had a date with mah besties! Did we go to a cafe for sweets? Nope. We went to a Korean/Chinese Restaurant for spice and soup, for a change!
GeumSan Korean And Chinese Restaurant is a located at Door #3 Autovill compound, F. Torres St. Bajada, Davao City, Philippines (beside Davao Convention Center). They cater both walk-ins and reservations. But since they’re in total bloom, advanced booking is highly advised. This place offers lunch at 10AM-3PM and dinner at 5PM-10PM, with free side dish buffet and hanbok try-out (for picture-taking).
5 things I would like to commend:
Accommodating. Although it’s understandable that there are instances that they don’t get to attend to you all the time due to customers constantly coming in, most of the time, they are attentive and hospitable.
Fast service. I don’t know if it happens everyday, but today, we did not have to wait long for our 7-dish order to be prepared and served.
High-speed Internet connection. Five stars. With today’s technological changes, even restaurants and fast food chains have to adapt. Getting your own WiFi connection with a stable and fast speed is almost a must, especially if you want to attract your target market.
Neatness and Cleanliness. Despite the slightly cramped dining space (due to the inverse proportion of the number of customers to its area), the place is fairly clean, except for the spot where the hanboks are hung. (That spot particularly gets messy at times because girls. Dzuh! We can even haul a whole closet in 2 minutes. It’s just so hard to decided which to wear.)
Food. I am no food expert, but I was justly satisfied. I especially like their Spicy Beef Meat Stew (Tteokaegi Gamjatang), Spicy Stir-Fried Pork Belly (Jeyuk Bokkeum) and of course, the all-time favorite Grilled Pork Belly (Samgyeopsal).
Below is the menu. I grabbed the pictures from their Facebook Page (you may process reservations through here).
And this was how we spent our 5PM-8:30PM Valentine date at GeumSan.
Bes, hindi po ako kinain ng sistema this time. Kinain at sinuot ko po yung sistemang K. Hahaha!
And yep, I’m back to blogging! Happy Valentine’s Day minna~
You don't necessarily need to eat sweets on Valentine's Day. Go for spicy stew, for a change!

I mentioned it somewhere that we’d gone to Bohol just before summer ended (here in PH). It was my first travel for this year and we booked it three months ahead so I anticipated it a lot. And even though there were few unfortunate events, I didn’t regret even a bit. It was a yolo-venture after all.
There weren’t any direct flights from Davao to Bohol yet so we initially landed at Cebu. We had to spend the night at Pacific Pensionne (booking/reservation is highly advised) and as soon as the sun rose, we set off to Bohol via Weesam Express . You may book the ferry tickets online or if you’re lucky and there aren’t that many passengers of the same trip and carrier as you and your squad, you may just buy them on the spot.
Being it the first time for most of us, we needed a guide. And by thorough stalking, I mean researching, we found this car rental ahjussi who was very accommodating and helpful to us. Having a driver slash tour-guide and a car for the price of P2,500 only for the whole day was more than practical and convenient. We didn’t have to argue where to go first or what to do next. He led our countryside tour finely and promptly. (You can reach him through this mobile number – 09267103220*)
And so the fifteen-stop Bohol escapade began!
DAY ONE – COUNTRYSIDE TOUR
1. Blood Compact Shrine
The legendary blood compact or Sandugo is considered as the first treaty of friendship between the Spaniards and the Filipino, which was performed of course in none other than Bohol on March 16, 1565. Pretty historic, ain’t it? We planned to imitate their poses but gave up in the end – the shrine was most of the time flooded with tourists and it was kind of awkward for the reenactment. Although I myself was dying to do it. Melts.
2. Baclayon Church and Museum (P50 Entrance Fee)
It has always been one of the tourist spots in the province, even after sustaining major damage from an earthquake three years ago. It was even declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines and a National Historical Landmark by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. (Source Link) Just be advised that you need to strictly follow their policies like the No Taking Of Pictures Inside or you’ll know that the someone’s more clever than you if they catch you and tell you to delete the photos (you’ve taken) from your Gallery, and no escaping for your Backup Photos either.
Just to be clear. You can take pictures inside the church, but not inside the museum.
3. Loboc River (P500 buffet lunch)
River cruising while eating your lunch is nothing but romantic, except it’s broad daylight and you’re not alone with your date. Yep. But the background music, mouth-watering dishes plus the lively rapport from every side of the raft or the gakit will surely make you grin while munching your meal to bits, unless you don’t feel too good floating and moving above the placid Loboc river. The singers aboard will sing you hymns of Boholano, Cebuano, Tagalog and even of English origin and will even let you dance with them few ballroom stance as they play the beat for you! And by the riverside awaits another raft loading performers of varying ages – the women will play the ukelele while the kids do the groove. Apparently, the song and dance number will be so inviting that you won’t be able to stop yourself from joining them.
4. Loboc Eco Adventure Park
My squad would never get enough of the yolo-ventures. The two-way zipline (P350), though only slightly challenging compared to the ziplines we had done before, was never missed by my friends’ hawk eyes. I only wanted to do the cable-car ride, but as usual, even I couldn’t get away from their convincing remarks. Since the cable cars were less thrilling than the zipline, of course you’d know which we picked. But I guess the view was stunning either way!
Forth you can go with a partner, but on your way back you have to do it alone.
5. Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary, Corella (P60 Entrance Fee)
So I was calculating as to how long we could hold our unusual silence. As expected, we couldn’t. There were lots of bloopers while exploring the Tarsiers‘ silent sanctuary (like stumbling over a stone, hitting your head with a twig because you’re walking backwards and couldn’t see what’s supposedly ahead or snapping photos of a wrong Tarsier, not a Tarsier but a bunch of dried leaves and twigs). Although things happened that way, I had fun giggling over the tiny primates while they glared at me with those big brown eyes. You shouldn’t miss the fun of getting glared at by creatures smaller than you! But it’s actually sad to think that they were supposed to be sleeping at daytime but they to had to be awake because they’ve got visitors to stare at all day.
And they’re totally not cute when startled. I warn you.
6. Butterfly Sanctuary, Bilar (P30 Entrance Fee)
Though not new to me anymore, I was still amused when the butterflies gather as if talking behind our backs and perhaps plotting something to eliminate us. Unfortunately, our species have already claimed victory over them. Some are caged in glasses even after death. *sobs* We call it preserving the dead. *sobs again*
7. Loboc-Bilar Man-made Forest
Tall. Dark. Green. And splendid. Mahogany trees stretching in a beautiful array in the borders of Loboc and Bilar towns is a must-see scenery when you go to Bohol. You must never miss standing under the giant trunks that almost look like knights standing erect and protecting their road queen. You can see the good old trunks stretching from the ground forming an elegantly green canopy above – which make them stand out among the passersby. The forest plays host to many visitors, locals and foreigners alike who take time to view it from the road and take pictures – which I think are requisites!
Though I had to edit the last two pictures because they were taken against the light and you wouldn’t be able to see our faces, unless you don’t really care about how we look. Lol
8. Bohol Python and Wildlife Sanctuary
If I am to choose between a python and a monitor lizard, I would of course choose my own life. Yes. I’d rather stay away from reptiles dead or alive. Though caged, I never once felt at ease when I got there. Creeps! I fear that the most. But then of course, I was only exaggerating. I could take a picture with the preserved Prony the country’s biggest python in captivity that died almost three years ago. If you’re up for creeps and creeps and more creeps, the Python and Wildlife Sanctuary is just the perfect place for you.
9. Chocolate Hills (P50 Entrance Fee)
Forget all the others but not these brown hills! This will be one of your strongest proofs to show your Mom that you really went to Bohol and did not party somewhere in the neighboring city. It was quite the hike, obviously. But overlooking the greenish-brownish heights can be as relaxing as staring at the sea. Except, that it is now so crowded due to its popularity, even among the locals who visit the hills almost everyday. I bet it’d be more jam-packed on weekends.
10. Tigbao Hanging Bridge (P20 Entrance Fee)
You can cross just any hanging bridges near your place, I know. But you don’t dare miss this one bridge in Bohol that’s been tagged by CNN as one of the ‘thirteen most spectacular bridges’. For thrill-seekers like me, I mean us, we didn’t let this opportunity slide. The bridge is suspended about 82 feet over the Loboc River and was built to facilitate travel between two barangays. In both ends of these bridges are stores of different souvenirs. To be honest I was never fond of hanging bridges. But since I was there, I needed to at least try. And I had expected, my friends were dying to shake the suspended railways causing me to shout at them while steadying myself, watching them have fun. Sigh. And it made me look like an even bigger idiot knowing after the trip that the bridges were “actually made of metal, but a bamboo top layer was added to give it an authentic–or, depending on your perspective, scary–look,” according to a CNN article written by Tamara Hinson. Thanks bud!
And.
We couldn’t get everything done in one day. So we had to say goodbye to our ever patient tour guide slash driver. We ended our rent-a-car contract with him since the activities on the following day were beach-based. So we technically didn’t need a terrestrial vehicle, right? We rested at Citadel Alona Inn in Panglao. And then resumed the Bohol adventure right before sunrise!
DAY TWO – ISLAND TOUR
11. Dolphin Watching
We chartered a boat for P1,500 for the whole duration of our beach spree! As luck would have it, we again met another accommodating and patient tour-guides. I guess Boholano’s are just like that, eh? Anyways, we actually couldn’t settle for one spot for the dolphin watching. Those cuties weren’t that friendly so we had to chase them around. But even from afar, if you see them jumping in mid-air as if catching something, you’d be delighted already! But delighted as we were, we couldn’t get a decent photo of them dolphins. Because these creatures are hyped as we were! Instead we took pictures of ourselves. XD
12. Balicasag Island and Turtle and Fish Sanctuary
We’re only a few feet away from the shore, but we could already see a turtle’s head peeking to every boat that had parked in the sanctuary. But what’s amusing was after we caught them taking a peek, they immediately escaped from our camera and eye lenses – animal instinct of course. Since we weren’t allowed to chase after them, we instead drew schools of fish by scattering biscuit crumbs. I guess the law of attraction is strongly observed between these species and the crumbs. They would gather without second thought (or do they even have second thoughts?) around the crumb-scattering human. They’re so gullible! And cute. But they’re not free for viewing and gathering. The dolphin watching and the Balicasag Island and Turtle and Fish Sanctuary cost P650 each participant.
Random trivia: Balicasag Island is where the movie Muro Ami was filmed. And the lead actor, Cesar Montano, is originally from Bohol. So random. Yep.
13. Virgin Island
Virgin Island is one of the many Islands in the Philippines that sinks when it’s high tide and only palm trees (or whatever tall vegetations grow in the island) are visible. As the name suggests, nobody gets to live or visit here. However due to its popularity, it’s now one of the many tourist attractions in Bohol hence the big crowd. Presently, you can see stalls that’d offer you sea cucumber, abalone and even sea urchins. They’d cook or season them for you to eat right there! They also have banana cues hot from the deep fry and buko juice.
Because the tide was quite high when we got there, we couldn’t witness the gorgeous long stretch of the 1-hectare white sand of the island.
And that ends our Island Tour. But wait, there’s two more!
Before we proceeded to our next stop, we rented scooters to get us there – uh-huh, in the name of love and adventure!
You can find many stores there that do scooter-rentals. First things first. To get the scooters, you need a driver’s license and a valid ID. The owners or tenants would ask for them for security purposes, in case you make a run with their for-rent two wheels. Most of the stores would offer you P500-P600/24 hours for one scooter. But since we only needed it for half a day, or 5 hours to be exact, we had to find a store that would let us rent one for a lower price. We needed to find one. We had to. Because aside from the fact that we didn’t want to spend that much for a short period of time, none of us also had his/her driver’s license. Aniyo. We didn’t forget them, we just didn’t have one to begin with. And as favor would have it, there were these generous Boholano’s (again) who saw and witnessed our struggle and offered as their bikes for P300/each for the number of hours that we needed. Plus, they excused us for not having our driver’s licences! But at least we had our valid IDs wuehehe. We do know how to drive, we’re just too lazy to get them licenses. So please, don’t give us that look. Way to go!
14.Alexis Cliff Dive Resort
Again, my mates would never get enough of life’s adventures. Throw them lemons, and they’d give you a cliff jump. I would have also jumped at Alexis Cliff but I wasn’t feeling so well at that time due to my tonsillitis so I gave up my chance.
And FYI. It took us so long before we found this cliff! Who would have known that strolling Bohol without a tour guide would be that hard? But man! You couldn’t even buy the fun that we had while constantly losing our way, driving each of our scooters. That was both exhilarating and memorable. It was my first time to actually drive around highways and for the record, my longest drive alone. Because I was never allowed to go out our little barangay whenever I’m the one on the wheels.
15. Hinagdanan Cave
And lastly, this cave that’s amazing enough to contain both fresh and salt water under – the Hinagdanan Cave! We missed our chance to bathe on the icy underground water since we arrived there 30 minutes after the swimming timetable had closed. We even begged the tenants if we could even for 10 minutes because it might be dark inside, but the water was just so inviting. But they were strict with their rules, which we understood, so we didn’t win the battle. If you want to go there and have a swim, be there before 4pm!
That ends our 15-stop Bohol itinerary people! But I won’t tell you that on our way back to Citadel Alona Inn from Hinagdanan Cave two of my mates actually had an accident with their scooters. Sigh. Because one of them was practicing and getting the feels of the bike for the (I would like to emphasize this part) FIRST TIME at 80 kph. She beat us all! I was only at 30 kph when I had my first ride back at home rehearsing. Fortunately they were able to get home in one piece, only they needed to pay for P10,000 for damaging the scooter!
But then again, it was all worth it. Good thing we didn’t miss these stops. And I bet you wouldn’t want to as well. What’s your favorite stop by the way? I’d be glad to hear about your choice!
Jaa neh~
Thanks team for the photos!

Japanese Twitter users respond: “What do you do when a friend criticizes anime you like?” Well, I wouldn't know how I would react if someone talks bad about my favorite anime because I never would stay in a circle if the conversation gets to this point. I always leave before I do act harshly XD But if ever, I would have used one of the responses in these tweets. oTL

I have yet to narrow down my backlogs. I haven’t drafted nor finalized anything thus I don’t have anything to post at the moment. Maybe because like Shiro, I’m feeling uninspired too. >//< So I’ll be doing this challenge instead. But it doesn’t mean it’s the only option left for me to work on. It has been quite my hobby to look for more versions of how a series is told – like if it has manga, anime or movie adaptation. It may either be because of curiosity or (dis)contentment or simply for hoarding purposes. Sadly, the manhwa that I have read, as far as my resources are concern, don’t have any adaptation as of yet. Or do I have to advance my stalking to see? I honestly don’t know if webtoons aren’t just meant to be animated or what. But if that’s the case, somebody please tell me so I don’t have to wait forever. >_<
So here’s my list in no particular order of liking:
1. Cheese in the Trap (Ongoing)
Summary
Having returned to college after a year long break, Hong Sul, a hard-working over-achiever, inadvertently got on the wrong side of a suspiciously perfect senior named Yoo Jung. From then on, her life took a turn for the worse and Sul was almost certain it was all Yoo Jung’s doing. So why is he suddenly acting so friendly a year later?
At first it didn’t really appeal good to me as the first few chapters are too slow-paced. The main plot’s development took quite awhile to get to the point. However, I got to understand little by little what the author was trying to get across. Considering the many genres it has, there are too many subplots. Although at the later part they were all explained how they’re connected to each other. What I like about this manhwa is that I don’t get to predict the next happening. Perhaps it’s just my slow comprehension of the events but every time I try to guess what’s gonna happen next, I don’t always get it right. So my hunger for the next chapters is always at the hungriest level. Currently, it is on its 90th chapter which was released on Valentines Day. Actually, this manhwa already has its TV series in Korea of the same title. Until all the episodes are aired, I won’t be watching it yet. So given that it has its adaptation, why did I include this in my list? Come on! We all love the 2D world.
2. Untouchable (Ongoing)
Summary
Vampires! Blood-draining, cold-hearted hunters who entice humans in with their supreme beauty and feed on them with hidden cruelty – that’s the way they are still seen by society. However, the real species has long forsaken their dependence on blood. They’ve evolved into peaceful members of society who rely on human touch to sustain their energy. This is the story of a ditsy vampire longing to touch her love interest.
This. This is the one manhwa that I am always excited for reading every new chapter when it comes to the shoujo category. It’s just getting interesting as to how will Sia, the vampire, handle her feelings for her prey-turned-boyfriend. The romance and the comedy and drama are easily observable, especially the romance part. Yup, I’m that girl. XD I have always loved fictional love stories, so you can’t really blame me if I am so into this forbidden vampire-human affair. Another factor that has attracted me to this webtoon is the illustration itself. It’s undeniably clean and oh excuse my drooling the characters themselves! Bishounen level 999! The story is currently getting more interesting as Sia’s bestfriend, Bariu has confessed his long unrequited love for her. I wonder how will Sia manage two bishies falling head over heels for her. Who would not want these lovelies to be animated? I hope it’s not you. But what I do wish is for updates to be regularly released. Please? (ง’̀-‘́)ง(ง’̀-‘́)ง
3. Noblesse (Ongoing)
Summary
He awakens. For 820 years he has slumbered with no knowledge of mankind’s advancements and scientific achievements. The land which he once knew has become an unfamiliar place with new technologies, attitudes, and lifestyles. Cadis Etrama Di Raizel, Rai, while seeking to familiarize himself with this era, somehow locates a loyal servant of his, Frankenstein, who is currently the principal of a South Korean high school. Rai decides that this high school would be the perfect place to help him learn about the new world. He enrolls, and suddenly becomes the friend of Shinwoo, an immature teenager who is also a master martial artist. But this new world is no safer than the old, and the dignified, bewildered, technologically illiterate Rai finds himself caught up in adventures both hilarious and dangerous.
Action-packed. Full of witty comebacks. Dramatic. Funny. And a handful of male protagonists that I can make lots of husbandos from. And recently, an OVA has been released! Hopefully, it goes all the way to the many episodes. Because I have been waiting my whole life for one of my faves to be animated and this is it! I love how Frankenstein stays so loyal to Rai after all those long years of separation. I love how Rai, the highest of the nobles, enjoys learning a simple mundane life. I love how Takio, M21 and Tao pay so much respect and dedication to their new masters despite the fact that they’re their former enemies. I love how few clan leaders remain faithful to their lord even after being betrayed by the many others. I love how they all can still display a picture of a family even though they’re in the middle of a webbed disarray caused by greed of power and vengeance. I love just about everything in it.
4. Black Haze (Ongoing)
Summary
This follows the story of Rood Chrishi, a boy who carries a secret -he is actually the famous Black Magician, Blow, one of the youngest but strongest magicians in the world. In spite of this, lately, his organization’s master has only been sending him out on trivial missions, like running errands and orchestrating petty revenge schemes for clients. One day, Rood encounters the powerful Duchess Dayner Artian, who has come to request for his organization’s help. Her second son, Lidusis, has not been fitting in well at school, so she would like Rood to help him out. To do so, Rood must go undercover as a student at the famed school of magic, Helios, and find out just why everyone calls the son of an esteemed duke, a ‘Monster’. Of course, Rood soon comes to realize that there is a lot more going on at this exclusive school than meets the eye …
This series is just as amazing as the Noblesse. It speaks highly of friendship, duty, loyalty, trust, revenge, greed, power and love. How each of these attributes can create a wide-range chaos, strengthen newly-formed bonds and uncover dark secrets of the past are the major questions this manhwa shoots off. I find it really amusing answering each of these while skimming through the chapters. Aside from the main protagonist, Blow, there’s this one character I love so much – Shicmuon. As Wikia describes it, Shicmuon is usually a quiet individual but can become abrasive and ruthless when it comes to fighting, especially when it involves the Black Magician. He is quite popular with the ladies at Helios but he doesn’t seem to care much for this. When he was first introduced in Chapter 3, he was seen obsessing over something. His obsession is revealed to be the Black Magician and claims to have gone to every mission where he might have appeared. They’re like a couple in an everyday fight. XD Shicmuon appears almost everywhere and whenever he does, everybody else is fighting with one another. But what’s amusing about the fights between these two is that most of the time, it turns out stopping the greater battle. At the current chapter, Blow has joined the Tower, a council full of top magicians that has long been wanting to claim the power sleeping inside him. Now the truth is yet to unravel. But before it does, I hope it gets an anime first!
5. Abide In The Wind (Ongoing)
Summary
One day, 18-year-old craftsman apprentice Reana Forte encounters a wounded creature in the wilderness. When she approaches it, a disembodied voice tells her that this creature is Dragon Lord Kairak. He has been mortally wounded but can be saved using a little bit of her help. She agrees to heal him but in the process the dragon pearl – the source of a dragon’s power and life force – embeds itself in her body. Since the dragon cannot part with the dragon pearl the voice she heard, a spirit guide called Didan, requests that Reana let them live with her for a year. Until Kairak, who takes on the form of a beautiful boy, fully matures and can reclaim the dragon pearl.
One loophole of this series is that it presents a lot of characters. Another is having long narrations which obviously is a mood-killer. Although I understand that at some point these narrations are necessary. Currently, Reana is being held capture by one of the princes who wants to bring the King down. I am curious to know as to how will she manage to escape to find Kairak knowing that the dragon weakens when he’s apart from his dragon pearl. Or, will she even try to escape considering that the people she wants to see are being used to blackmail her. I don’t particularly like the flow of the story at the moment as there’s still much to happen. But I do want to see how it’d turn out if it’s ever animated.
6. ReLIFE (Ongoing)
Summary
The story follows Kaizaki Arata, a 27-year-old jobless man who fails at every job interview he had after quitting his last company which he only lasted at for three months. His life changes after meeting Yoake Ryou of the ReLife Research Institute, who offers him a drug that can change his appearance to 17-years-old again and to become a subject in a one-year experiment in which he begins his life as a high school student again.
This series can be depressing at times. When you read it you’d just suddenly imagine how productive or unproductive you may have been in all the years of your existence. Like how badly you want things to change but they just wouldn’t because you’ve become a neet due to some traumatic incidents. While it is true that this series depicts sadness, it also shows how one can still have hope and how he can use it to get back up and be humanly active once again. The story simply shows that “Second chances don’t come around all that often. I suggest you take a really close look at it” – quoting Dr. Hank Pym of Ant-Man. When you’re given a second chance, give it your all, as this may be your last chance to do things straight. But there’s more to learn yet from Kaizaki and his ReLife. But before anything else, an animation is really really needed! XD
The next two, I have yet to catch up with the updates but no doubt that I definitely want an anime for both!
7. The Gamer (Ongoing)
Summary
Han Jee-Han, a normal high school student, suddenly develops a special power where his entire world is shifted into a game-like setting. He can see the power levels of people, look at the stats of a seemingly normal item, get abilities, and even level up!
I am no gamer. But I do play quite a few in my phone – Minecraft PE, PBA Slam, Stick-man Basketball, Volleyball Champions 3D, sometimes CoC and I’m planning on getting Dungeon Hunter 4. These are free games from Google Play. I’m not one to invest on a game unless you recommend one that’s proven and tested worth the penny, then yes. And so I really find this series entertaining. I know people that are really into gaming and some of them integrate gaming into the 3D planet. Like my classmate in college, he could relate all our talks into games. We didn’t have a single discussion that did not include his gaming style, skills and abilities – which initially sounded very weird. But when I started to engage myself into light games, it changed from very weird to weird. Yes, he’s still weird. XD What I like about this one is that it describes things that a non-gamer can easily understand. I also like Jee-Han’s innocent but eager spirit when it comes to learning more of this unique ability he has. And guess what? He’s not the only one that acquired an ability ordinary human can’t possibly have. So it would totally be great to see all the scenes, especially the fighting scenes in an animation. P.S. Jee-Han wants to know his power’s nature as much as I do.
8. Girls Of The Wild’s (Ongoing)
Summary
Wild’s High has a 42-year history as a fighting specialized, girls only, private high school meant solely for the elite. It is also the place that Wild’s-League is held: the most popular event in the country and the only place in the world where teenage girls have brutal fights with their lives on the line. One year the school changed from a girls only school to a mixed gender school. The only male student, Song Jae Gu, has been granted a full 3-year scholarship regardless of grades. Being someone who had to spend every moment either working or taking care of his younger brother and sister, he accepted. But after meeting Queen, the bloody champion of Wild’s-League, drenching her in coffee, calling her a monster, and getting caught seeing her while she was taking a shower… his scholarship could prove fatal.
I am not really into regular harem because I don’t like the idea of all the girls flaunting around one guy (although I’m OK with all the guys flocking around a girl. Haha. Kidding), I have to give this one an exception. I have never liked seeing girls fight outrageously but seeing how these beautiful ladies become wild for the joy of sports, pride [and love], I have yet to give another exception. As I have previously implied, fight scenes are always beautiful when the pictures are moving. I don’t just want to settle into swiping (my phone’s screen) right and left or scrolling (my laptop’s screen) up and down. I want to sit back and watch how powerful women can be. I am not a feminist. Nope.
And that’s my list! I have yet to check out a few more webtoons. But I haven’t decided which to read first. Maybe I’ll jump to some Chinese manhua next. I heard of cool ones, I might go check them out as well. But that’s all for now. Jaa~
P.S. I got each of the summaries from MangaPark [Source link]
Personal Picks! 8 Manhwa Series I’d Love To Have An Animation It has been quite my hobby to look for more versions of how a series is told - like if it has manga, anime or movie adaptation.
