also, people don’t understand the musical as a medium anymore. yea i sound annoying. joker 2 worked so well as a musical. i think people just think “musical = silly” or “disney” or “unserious” or something. joker 2 HAD to be a musical. it makes total sense.

also the fact that charon hasn’t been shown any love or affection since he was murdered by his love and then orpheus hugs him to say thanks. that’s when he tells orpheus “good luck”. that’s him flipping from apathy to actual hope that he’ll see prometheus again. goodness me

after hadestown i was inconsolable bc it means so much that we’re still retelling the same stories after thousands of years and GUESS WHAT!!

kaos destroyed me too. these stories were built into our dna. it’s so rare that i am so happy to be human. but i love being human and hearing these stories that have been heard since the beginning

kaos’s take on orpheus and eurydice is the most interesting greek myth interpretation i’ve ever seen. this whole show just nailed it. i wasn’t even a huge greek myths kid and i am screaming about the details
