Having sex with someone actually is a big deal and involves a ton of vulnerability and I think it’s extremely troubling and gross and unhealthy and actually exceptionally dangerous that we pretend otherwise and encourage people to “be mature” by compartmentalizing/completely eliminating their deeper human emotions from their sexuality and that any other view is dismissed as prudish and invalid and unenlightened and childish and restrictive. I can’t think about this too much because it makes me rage but I hate how much porn and capitalism have destroyed how we understand and experience sexuality and intimate connections with one another so much.

what is considered to NOT be coquette/faunlet? like how does one identify a "poser" in this community? i'm more or less asking this question for fun & out of curiosity lol

heres my top ways to identify a poser

to add onto that: they completely disavow the book lolita and it's film adaptations. real ones know it is the very core of our subculture and is a piece of media we are deeply attatched to and analyze constantly. there is no coquette without nabokov

if they think coquette is inspired by rococo or marie antoinette and the name was chosen because of that. thats blatant misinformation and anyone who tells you that is a fuckin poser. real ones know the name was chosen because of its similar sound/meaning to the word n*mphet with less negative connotations in the kik name change groupchat of 2017/2018

they deny the existence of faunlet and say boys "cant be coquette". real ones know theyve always existed
