Oh, okay. I see. You think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select out, oh I don’t know, that gaslight gatekeep girlboss meme, for instance, because you’re trying to tell the world that you think modern feminism has been co-opted by corporations. But what you don’t know is that that meme is not from Instagram, it's not from Twitter, it's not from Tiktok, it’s actually from Tumblr. You’re also blithely unaware of the fact that in January 2021, Tumblr user missnumber1111 posted, "today's agenda: gaslight gatekeep and most importantly girlboss." And then I think it was a-m-e-t-h-y-s-t-r-o-s-e, wasn’t it, who reblogged it with an image of the phrase edited over a piece of "Live, Laugh, Love" wall art? And then gaslight gatekeep girlboss showed up in the feeds of eight different Twitter repost accounts. Then it filtered down through Instagram and then trickled on down into some tragic “alt side of Tiktok” where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that meme represents millions of notes and countless Tumblr users and so it’s sort of comical how you think that you’ve made a choice that exempts you from Tumblr when, in fact, you’re wearing the meme that was selected for you by the people in this room. From a pile of “stuff.”

This may be the worst use of LLMs anyone has attempted, ever. Up there with recognizing mushrooms.

I do agree. I think there are some that follow what they believe to be honorable rules, but even then they have much more advanced weaponry and use invisibility. It's in the name, Predator. They aren't battling their victims, they are hunting them. It's the Most Dangerous Game but with aliens. They have a hunting preserve planet that they stock.
Hell, the Warlord ends Killer of Killers saying Let's Go Hunting.
One odd critique of Predator: Killer of Killers that I’m seeing is people upset that the Predators “honor” feels hollow now, since they kidnap winners for future entertainment.
I would like to remind everyone that the Predators entire culture literally dehumanizes their targets. The first movie in the series has this high tech hunter kill people with invisibility, plasma weapons, shooting people in the back, and nuke the jungle when he lost. The second one had him attack an entire subway filled with civilians and slaughter them, and also try to nuke himself for losing. Prey literally compared them to colonizers!
What did y’all think “We kill to live, They live to kill” meant??
Their “honor” was bullshit the entire time. It was the equivalent of a man in tacticool equipment in a humvee talking about the honor of hunting the dangerous lion, while stroking an rpg launcher.
Humans are just a content farm for the Predators entertainment.

i think it's really fun when a rly specific trope is super popular in one particular medium but in other ones it's just totally unheard of. it's the time knife. visual novel players are suuuuper used to death games but many others encountered them for the first time in squid games. the other day my mom showed me all excited the summary of a super original novel she found and it was about a girl who got reincarnated as the main character in her favorite fantasy book

Story time. In high school I went through my "I'm so edgy" teen phase, as you do. Also important context, Quills had come out, which is a movie about the Marquis De Sade while he was institutionalized after the revolution. The movie uses him and his continued writing, even though he was forbidden, to explore themes of censorship, to mixed results. Let's just say the movie version, played by Jeffrey Rush, is very kind to a figure in history that was a piece of shit predator.
Anyways, at the time, most of what I knew about De Sade and his works at the time came from that movie. So one day, at a garage sale, I saw his books Justine (which is recently published in the movie, and played as some scandalously sexy book) and Juliette, so I bought them. I wanted to see what the deal was with his writing. I read Justine first, it's a lot shorter, and it's probably his tamest book. It is similar to Candide by Voltaire, in that the title character suffers all kinds of abuse because she stubbornly refuses to give up her virtue. Spoiler alert, she gets struck by lightning in the end. It's not super subtle, but it also doesn't really go in depth in the abuses suffered.
The I tried Juliette. Oh boy. I noped out of that one pretty early and never looked back. Juliette is Justine's sister, who embraces a life of debauchery at a young age, and it is very detailed and GROTESQUE! It is not modern BDSM sadism, it is very much not 50 Shades of Grey, it is kidnapping, torture, rape, and murder. In VIVID detail. Bret Easton Ellis wishes.
It was gross, and I was probably too young and ill informed to be reading it, but I didn't continue to read it and got rid of them because I didn't like them and I wasn't going to read them again. I wasn't traumatized, and my life went on. It's become a funny story, especially for anyone interested in the kink that is named for the author.
It taught me an important lesson about what books I want to read and which books I don't. And it also taught me that highly fictionalized movies about real historical people are often very VERY inaccurate.
joining the war on kids reading any book they want on the side of kids reading any book they want. simply you will be fine. it's even good to be confronted with things you don't understand and even find upsetting, uncomfortable and difficult. it's a surprise tool that will help you later.

About the Saja Boys
So I'm not the only one to notice this, but it seems there are less people talking about it than some other fan theories.
As stated in this video
The Saja Boys, aside from Jinu, are hilariously non characters by design. They don't have actual names; if they were demons similar to Jinu, humans who were corrupted by Gwi Ma through shame and guilt, they'd still have their names, right? The movie was a little thin on the demon lore, so it's unclear if all demons were once human, and possible get less human-like over the years, or if there are born demons and created demons. Either way, it's looking less likely that they are that boy band from the tonic doctor's office picture, nor the hilarious versions of Jinu auditioning hundreds of demons for his boy band.
So not only do they not have names, but they seem to have no actual personalities of their own when they are not performing. And by performing I mean being seen in public by their fans at all. Think about how they changed IMMEDIATELY after leaving the signing, becoming slack jawed and hunched over.
Or in the underworld, going from Saja to their actual demon faces
They are facsimiles of people. When they aren't being puppeted, either by Jinu or Gwi Ma, the movie isn't clear, they are hollow, with less personality than the other demons we see.
I don't know a ton about Korean mythology, but I get the feeling zombie isn't the right term. It's more like they aren't even real demons, more like a spell than anything else. They have no identity outside of the archetype boyband member they are.

Same with gender testing. Again, with Michael Phelps, he is genetically predisposed to be good at swimming, but a black woman who is genetically predisposed to be good at running can only compete if she takes performance de-enhancing drugs.
TERFism is wrapped up with white supremacy
