My friends said this design looks kinda ugly...but I'm posting anyway because I love leafstar!

I'm so happy she is getting a POV in the new wc series! And I'm also praying they don't turn her into a bad character!

WARRIOR CAT HYBRID SPECIATION AS PROMISED!

disclaimer: i am not a biologist, i just passed AP bio. i know this isn’t exactly how things work but these cats can talk and have a concept of cat hell so whatever.

basically, the ancients are a hybrid of f. catus and f. silvestris, f. bellator. they are a very small species created by genetic isolation of the hybrid up in the mountains and in the lake territory.

after they moved to the forest territory, they interbred with f. catus to create the hybrid f. catus bellator. i’m calling this a hybrid subspecies. this subspecies also has a golden pelt gene.

cats like firestar are purely domestic cats. he and other kittypets are much smaller than their clan counterparts. they can interbreed, though, and are completely fertile.

f. catus bellator genes tend to be dominant to f. catus ones, and many hybrid offspring tend to take on the traits of the former. they are bigger than f. catus and have ear tufts, for example. however, they have a full range of pelt and color patterns like f. catus.

this concept can be used however anyone feels, and i’d love to see what others do with it, with credit! feel free to ask questions as well :)

Celerykit, one of the clan's newest additions, has just made his first journey to Bluffclan's summer camp! As a baby, he is largely unconcerned with the sociopolitical state of his clan. What matters to him is that he just saw a bee for the first time!

Bluffclan largely believes that the ancestors of their clans reside loosely in the sky; the stars; and in the air around them, having no specific realm to exist in. Their spirits watch the clan and the world around them. If there’s a world of their own to reside in, it is something unknown to the living. Cats are only able to meet with their ancestors under specific conditions, in locations where the sky is able to touch the earth. The tallest mountains; bottomless lakes; wide open grassland where it is only you, the earth, and the sky; and a shallow cave where the long-since rotted bones of a mother and child are exposed to stale air. The infinite pool and the star lakes are the only two easily accessible spots for cats to visit and attempt to communicate with their ancestors. Grieving cats may travel to these locations to receive comfort and assurance that their loved ones have made it to their afterlife, though the dreams in these locations aren’t always exactly what one might want, and cats may leave feeling more lost than before.
