Wandering through the retail garden @rosestoryfarm a few months ago, a bright coral pink, hand sized blossom winked at me from where she was wedged beneath an avocado tree. She enchanted me. Spell bound I asked Dani to come identify her... Bewitched! SMITTEN! I've been falling in love steadily with @rosestoryfarm for the past year that I have worked here. Several times a day I have a new favorite blossom but this is the only one so far that asked me to take her home. Moving to condoville and having such limited outdoor space made my #composting compulsion initially quite challenging. This design is my third compost incarnation and by far the most successful at making fast, phenomenal, compost while taking up as small a footprint as possible. A 32 gallon galvanized trash can with half inch holes drilled around the sides wrapped in black weed cloth secured by zip ties. I feed it kitchen scraps, bbq ashes, paper/paper towels, yard clippings, flower bits, and anything else readily biodegradable. I cut things into finger length pieces since I have a limited amount of sun that actually heats my back yard, the smaller bits break down faster. I pierce and 'stir' with a length of rebar to aerate.
