I know Halloween is over, but have a late entry to the spookiness. This is an alternate visual take on the gallows speaker, a particularly scary beastie from Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft. The gallows speaker is a sort-of folded-in mob of unquiet dead that haunt the gibbet, or the guillotine, or some other site specific to the act that ended them, crying doom to any that find them.

Listen sometimes a family is just a vampire who feels the gods failed him, a warlock who knows the gods have turned their back to him, a Tiefling who was sold to demons, a wizard who was groomed by his goddess, a cleric who was abused by a cruel goddess and even crueller fanatics, a gith who so desperately wants to love but fears her god queen, and...a guy who has seen his own people die but still will fuck anything that consents.

Oh yeah and the cryptic skeleton guy who hangs out...he might be the god of death but honestly no one knows and he won't answer if they ask.
