i love randomly seeing things rise in popularity across my dash when i havent done anything to initiate it. its like fandom news except no one will explicitly state the recent events for you, so youre just sitting there like: hello ghost trick fandom. what happened to make everyone finally play this game lmao. i’m glad we’re thriving, but what happened? oh good morning prof layton nation. it seems ive missed an update on nwos lore, thats exciting.

and sometimes you get to figure out the puzzle. like “why is gravity falls going bonkers on my dash all of a sudden” and then you find out they got a book about their favourite sentient cheese pizza slice being fruity or something and you’re like ah. i get it now

the odd use of talk sprites here has been getting to me lately.

i think in the beginning and end, he’s actually mad at cabanela. in the middle, he’s simply saying a point during his power trip to feel the satisfaction of twisting a verbal dagger into cabanela’s heart before he kills him.

and it’s like. “yea obviously he’s mad”. but what i mean is specifically he’s mad that cabanela isn’t trying. for ten straight years, he hasn’t been trying to save his supposed “best friend”. to both him and us, the player, cabanela doesn’t even care. why would yomiel be mad about someone not trying at all to save their best friend- especially when they have the easy power to do so? when this is all apart of yomiel’s agreed upon plan and deal?

Which reveal left a bigger impact on you: Sissel's true identity and backstory, or Ray's?

I connect his appearance to both characters tbh I really just base it off of which character it's supposed to be based on the context. Lucky for me when I posted art with him it had cat sissel too so I could tag both lol. I see some people tag him as man in red which kinda makes sense when it's ambiguous or could be either of them. Hope that helps?

Oh Ray’s little wiggle as Lynne runs past at the end of Chapter 5 is so much sweeter after beating the game and understanding why he’s doing that <3 he’s doing a happy little jig, he’s celebrating, his plan is working <3

I do love how sissel isn’t… super heroic or anything like that. currently his attitude is “I’ll do this good deed specifically because it benefits me to do so” I mean there’s some notion of chivalry behind saving lynne but it’s also very much about what her being alive can do for him.

and I feel like that’s much more realistic for a guy in his situation. he’s dead so he doesn’t really have much stake in anyone else living or dying but he does have a goal and a limited time to accomplish it and isn’t going to go out of his way to do things that aren’t working towards that goal. missile asks him if he’s going to protect kamila and lynne and sissel is like “I guess, maybe, if it helps me.” and it’s not out of malice or lack of compassion it’s just kind of the way things are. he has his own agenda separate from the people of the living

I think there are a lot of stories that have an impulse to make their protagonists as heroic as possible even if they find themselves in dark situations, unless the story is specifically about how much the protagonist sucks. but sissel is neither - he’s just a guy with pretty realistic wants and priorities given the circumstances and I really appreciate that

well guys here’s another Ghost Trick theory from my exhausted mind 

‘object manipulation’ is the default Ghost Trick and Sissel would have become the most powerful character in the game, if he hasn’t already.
