You know… there’s probably a reason Yuri doesn’t join his friends in thinking menial service industry jobs are fun.  Karol’s bounced around between guilds learning dozens of interesting trades, Rita’s grown up in a research lab with all her needs provided by government grants, Judith is free to fly around with Ba’ul and do whatever she fancies at the time, Raven’s a noble, a knight captain, and a high ranking guild man, and Estelle, well, she’s royalty.  

None of these people have ever worked a menial job in their lives.  Yuri, meanwhile, has probably helped out at the Comet hundreds of times to earn his keep.  His friends see a chance to do something new, talk to people, run around with food… Yuri sees exhausting hours of unappreciated labour that barely scrapes together enough gald to pay rent and buy food.  He’s not about to open up to his friends about how much it sucked it grow up in poverty, but internally I bet he’s thinking
