can we pls do something about nolan making a public reappearance in the rpc. i know we're not supporting unnecessary witch hunts but like the dude is a REAL PROBLEM.

so i am going to post this message about this... it doesn't seem like a secret that many of us know who nolan is and what he's done/doing, so i don't see this as a witch hunt either when it's genuinely to protect others. i'm fortunate enough to not have had direct interaction with the guy but i've witnessed his sick brand of bullshit wrought out on friends and other people i knew in the community. i don't believe an aggressive head on approach will work so i firmly suggest blocking any and all of his accounts everywhere you can. interaction with him will only keep him going so nip it in the bud as early as you can.

FOR THOSE WITH SIDE BLOGS: don't forget that blocking on a main blog does not automatically block the user from all the side blogs connected to the main account. you need to manually add in the account name by going to Settings -> click the side blog in the right hand corner -> scroll down to "blocked users" and type in each blog name.

i've just done this on my accounts. for those interested in doing this, i've linked every known/suspected nolan account i could find, regardless if they're still active or not:

a quick tl;dr for those unaware of this nolan dude in the rpc: he's well-known for being an extremely problematic player in groups by making people uncomfortable, cyber stalking and harassing those groups when he's kicked out, and lying, gaslighting, manipulating everyone to believe he's the victim in all of these instances. some of his known aliases include nolan, nolanverse, nando, and nate.

there's proofs that it's nolan and you saying it might not be is very damaging. don't get involved if you don't know. jadedglory posted about it and stevvyhosseini too. it's been in the rpt tags earlier.

Okay going to be 100% transparent I received the ask last night, and I knew it was going to take me a while so I was working on a response in a google doc on and off all day, so the only info I was working with was in the ask. I probably should have checked the tags before I posted. This is the post which I have reblogged for more info. I will edit my original ask with the new info.

My advice would be to block and avoid rpc-home-truths as well as any know blogs of nolan/nando

You can do with this what you like but I highly suspect that the new rpc-home-truths is Nolan in disguise. Dude has been a problem in the tumblr rpc since 2015 stealing theme codes and original character ideas and plagiarizing other media sources for his “original rp” plots and claiming it all his own. On top of that he’s known for hella godmodding in threads, harassing and stalking his partners that he gloms onto because they have a male fc he’s super attracted to, blatantly ignores female characters because he’s not interested in m/f romance/smut, ignores rp lore, and has been kicked out of a few groups, like Empire and Corinth Bay to name a couple recent ones that I know of, for his behavior. He’s also been racist and misogynistic with the premade characters and lore he’s created in his own rps. And when he’s kicked out and called out for his shit? Gaslighting for days to paint himself as a victim. He’s still going on about drama from 2015 where he was 100% the aggressor and problem.

I know it sounds crazy and conspiratory. That rpc-hard-truths talks a lot like how Nolan does, using “staff” as opposed to “admin” or “mod,” and I bet is about to rehash the whole shit he did from his perspective again. The blog just hid their likes but I saw a few pics of nearly naked buff dudes plus a photo set of Joshua Orpin, who is a fc Nolan has been using frequently since 2020.

If this is true I hope you find enough proof to back this up so people stop buying his little act

Okay this is a lot. I have a lot of thoughts so i’m going to bullet point. But firstly do not send hate to this blog or any of the blogs mentioned above. That shit just keeps the fire going and responding to toxic behavior with toxic behavior gets no one anywhere. Moving on 

This guy has been called out many times over the years. I remember lurking and reading about him over and over again. In cases like these if you're the common denominator you're probably the problem. And you should probably start looking introspectively on what went wrong 

That 2nd link to his blog is wild…. I scrolled through a couple of pages and there's just straight up smut out there in the open? I know I just preached about being open to someone not knowing something but I think everyone should know what the read more button is and use it ? Like i’m all for smut but c’mon some of us rp at work and yes people should know the risks of doing that but the read more button is right there- and on a definitely more important note, it could be super triggering

At this point the proof is right there.  This isn’t a ‘witch hunt’ or ‘drama’ this is a person with some serious issues who should be avoided at all costs. And to have an rpc-home-truths defending them using that vocabulary is disgusting. The internet can 100% have an affect on people's mental health, and Nolan’s actions has affected many people .he should be named, shamed, and blocked

Speaking of rpc-home-truths its been really gross in their defense of Nolan. One of them posted a scenario that put out a scenario about s*uicide basically victim blaming the ‘mob’ or whoever is against Nolan, Except as an example she used her daughter. And to top it off put in the tags with no trigger warning or tags, and it is still up as of now. I find this disgusting, I am not a mother but why would you put that energy out into the world about your daughter?? Its gross and manipulative. And to not have it tagged? I feel like anyone rping who are decent humans know that has to be tagged. It should have never been posted in the first but at least tag it or warn people in some way so they can choose to ignore it. 

Call me a coward but I have blocked them already( and screenshotted the post in case they delete and act like that it never happened), they have a blog they can defend themselves on but how that was handled has given me enough information on who they are as people and I don’t want to see them or  interact with them.

So i'm 99% sure I got the raise I asked for at work! Yay! So i'm in a pretty good mood. I wanna hear about your favorite under-rated dynamics to write out? Send me stuff I want ideas for plotting beyond the basics like best friend, sibling, etc. I'll start- Mine is neighbors; and the more people in the neighborhood the better. I once was in a small town rp (might have had supernatural elements I forget tbh) and four of us had muses in the same neighborhood, and it was just the best time we had lore about the neighborhood, npc neighbors, and chatzys with like potlucks and stuff. I miss that rp it was about 6-7 years ago so I don't remember much but the neighborhood stuff was *chefs kiss*

I actually really enjoy that over the last day or so the majority of the rpc/rpt community aside from the known two blogs, have and or realize that callout blogs, etc. are so vile and in the past. At the end of the day, these are still human beings with real feelings and majority of the time make mistakes. everyone is entitled to their opinion but when you use things like "racist, disgusting, transphobic, homophobic, etc." you're diminishing the real meaning of the word. It is nice that the majority of the rpc feels the same way. it's just a lil hobby at the end of the day, and it's used to be a nice escape of the real world. People forget that.

Yes I agree the petty bullshit can and was getting exhausting. I will say there has to be a place for people to warn people of toxic and behavior, and I think a trusted Rph/Rpt can facilitate that. I think when issues of racism/transphobia/homophobia (as long as its not extreme and obvious because then just call that shit out immediately) come up people should remember is not everyone has the same amount of knowledge that you do. And calling people names because they weren't aware of an issue isn't going to make anyone receptive of the information your trying to give them. Like you said this is a hobby and we should all acknowledge that everyone has different views and histories and everyone should be respectful unless its obvious lines have been crossed.
