Materials that you can Use for Flooring
Flooring is one of the major steps in building a home. It lays the base for the interior decor of your house and makes for the walking surface. It is a challenging task and needs to be paid keen attention to. The flooring is done on a layer called subfloor that supports the floor.
The first and foremost thing about flooring is the type of material you want to use for the flooring of your house or workplace. The material depends on various factors such as cost, durability, comfort, noise insulation, and effort required for cleaning. The subfloor also has a significant part to play in it as it forms the foundation for the floor.  The different options that you can pick for subfloors such as floating floors raised floors or sprung floors. You can also have two subfloors for better strength. Mostly the subfloors are concrete but plywood is another widely preferred and viable option.
Then comes the flooring, which has a wide range of options for materials that you can use. Few of the materials that you can use for include cork, laminate, linoleum, stone, tile, vinyl, and wood. You can find these materials from a natural stone manufacturer. You can also use sandstone for flooring the exterior and interior of your house. Get in touch with some good suppliers of sandstone in your city and as for the viability and cost. Sandstone is a good option to consider as it offers a distinct, natural look to the house and is durable. Though the problem with sandstone is that it absorbs water, which can make it weaker with time.
Cork flooring is made using the bark of trees. It has good soundproofing properties and is anti allergic. It also repels many insects and is environment friendly and sustainable.
Laminate is a cheap option that adds an appealing look to your house. The material is tough and will not stain for a long period. There are different forms of tile flooring that use ceramic, porcelain, or quarry. Slate tile flooring gives you a wide variety of style, pattern, and colors to choose from and is affordable too.
Vinyl flooring will give your house depth and an elegant appearance. Vinyl is again a strong material and resists scratches and can bear impacts. Wood flooring can be done using oak, maple, or bamboo.
Do some research on the type of flooring material that will suit your house before picking one. Check with the stone and tile manufacturers to get more details about the cost of these materials for flooring.

Buying a Kitchen Countertop
Kitchen is a part of the house that is visited by everyone and still no one. It is dedicated for the sole purpose of cooking and mostly the person who prepares food spends the most time there. In many houses, it is just neglected as the least important part. However, if one observed or pondered about it closely, one would not fail to notice that though only for a short period; everyone enters the kitchen, almost every day. To drink water or to steal an extra bite of the ice cream from the refrigerator, when the coast is clear. During parties and occasions such as family gatherings and birthdays, people often find time to exchange their lives in the kitchen.
Hence, every kitchen deserves a good interior too and we decided to get ourselves one of the best kitchen countertops. We have wanted to replace the ceramic tile ones with one of those shiny and luxurious countertops. We considered quartz and marble but they seemed too expensive for our budget. Therefore, we decided to buy granite countertops as they are rich and affordable. I have always wanted to give my kitchen a luxury appeal and these granite ones tend to do that the best. There are so many patterns and designs available. I spent about three days checking the granite countertop designs online and I was surprised to see the variants available. Then finally, I stopped at a grey shade to match the white walls and cabinets of our kitchen. It will also suit the slate tile flooring that we have in our kitchen. In addition, we were also thinking about getting backsplash done with the same granite material. We will have to see how much it will cost though. Now, we just have found a natural stone manufacturer to get the granite fixed. I am excited!
Few tips for those buying kitchen countertops:
Go for contrasting shades
Match it with backsplash tile
Check the latest trends online
Compare prices
Get a good assistant to fix and seal

Factors that Affect the Cost of Quartz Countertops
Elegant-looking and long-lasting, Quartz countertops are one of the best options other than marble and white granite countertops. They are expensive but do offer the desired appeal to the interior. The price of quartz countertops depends on many factors and is different for everyone depending on the purpose and requirements.
Some of the major aspects that affect the cost of quartz countertops include:
-       grade of the material
-       complexity of the job
-       Countertop manufacturer
Quartz unlike other natural stones is engineered, which makes it versatile in terms of styles and qualities. The different grades of quartz countertops are closeout/clearance, standard, premium and designer. The standard grades of quartz are generally plain and can be used for your kitchen décor and design. The shades are majorly earth tones.
Premium and designer grades bear rich color. They are custom made which makes them more expensive when compared to the marble countertops cost, yet they give a great look.
A single slab of quartz without seams and corners is easy to install while a wrap-around countertop with cutouts for sink and a designer edge needs a professional. This makes it expensive.
The cost of professional installation accounts for about 20% to 50% of the total cost. You can consider an average of 30% or you can save the entire cost by installing it yourself. However, seeing the expense and the nitty gritty of quartz installation, it is better to get professional help unless you have excellent skills to do it yourself.
Another factor is from where you get the quartz. Every manufacturer offers it a different price and since it is mostly customized, the cost depends on the way the countertop is manufactured.  You can find standard to mid-grade quartz at a home improvement store. Local countertop companies generally provide mid-grade to premium material and you can select the one that suits your budget.

You can go for slate tile flooring as they are dependable and easy to maintain.
Throw in a couple of dining chairs in the kitchen for your companion to sit while you do your thing or to sit when you have to wait. Fix some good lights that focus on a single place rather than the entire kitchen for a cozy ambience. Factors That Indian Kitchen Miss Out On
Air Ventilation: Too many kitchens suffer from poor air quality because while they have hoods with a fan, many of them either don’t vent all the way to the outside of the house, or are recirculating. If you want the smoke, steam and smells to leave your house, make sure you give it a way to get out. Usually the chimneys don’t have enough room left to properly exit the Kitchen.
Selection of Materials: One must always be careful and alert while selecting materials for a kitchen. A common mistake is, not knowing the nature of the stone used for countertops and floorings. For eg. Using Indian sandstone paving slabs in a kitchen may be difficult to clean and easily will collect dust. This can easily be avoided by using surfaces that are easy to clean and low maintenance. For eg. White granite countertops are easy to clean and low maintenance.
Garbage Disposal: Another common error performed by our designer is the placement of the trash can. This factor is not given a taught while kitchen design and the trash can usually end up under the sink. Including the trash disposal in the plan with help eliminate the need for a stand-alone trash can elsewhere in the kitchen.  If you locate it in front of your food prep area, you can even sweep trash right into the can.
Remote Water Shutoff:  If you have any leaks to fix or having any plumbing failure, you may want to consider a water shutoff valve in the lower cabinet. This will allow for a swift shutoff of the water should there be a leak. This will also be beneficial to allow water supply in the rest of your home while the maintenance work is in progress.
