Something so special about Ricky being the one to hand Constance the microphone. He’s gone his whole life ignored and with no one actually trying to get to know the real him due to his disability. Now he’s realizing that this girl he’s been around his whole life feels the same exact way. No one ever listened to her or actually tried to get to know the real her, just like everyone with him. If only they had lived their lives a little differently, maybe they wouldn’t have felt so alone. But unfortunately it’s too late for that, you can’t go back and change the way things played out. He hands over the microphone and places a reassuring hand on her arm in solidarity. And with that hand, he says the thing they’ve both yearned to hear their whole lives: “We see you, we’re listening.”
