Anyway, I’m starting to feel a biiit weirded out by you after checking your blog. It’s full of hate around fictional characters and I feel a bit weird having a conversation with someone with such unhealthy obsession about an anime... I just did a meme, it’s not that deep... (my point still stands since nothing you said made sense to me).
I’ve got work to do, too since I have a life out there and I just talk about fandom in my free time (I hadn’t updated this blog since forever too, I almost forgot it existed until I thought about this meme hahaha!).
Good bye! I hope you feel better soon <3
I’ll just make a separate reply here: @rtsupportsyashahime
This was so condescending, lmfao.
1) It’s not a fan theory. You can’t tell me that she supports the ship, and then link me to an interview where she does nothing of the sort. Even if Rin is confirmed to be the mom, that doesn’t mean she supports the ship, and you have no interview or proof to say that she does.
2) She’s not writing the sequel, so how can she be in support of the ship if it’s not her story? The director already confirmed that their relationship wasn’t in her original manga, so for a woman with a lot of “power,” she surely didn’t use her influence to canonize a couple she supposedly supports within 500+ chapters that she had full control over
3) The problem is that you’re referencing the show and trying to claim that she supports the ship, simply because Sumisawa wrote it in his series. How does that make any sense? She didn’t write it. This isn’t her story. She didn’t make them canon, nor was it depicted in her manga, so how can she be in support of something that she didn’t even create? Why? Because she works with Sumisawa, so that suddenly means she’s in favor of everything that he does?? I’m sure she wasn’t in favor of him making Inuyasha 200 years old in the third movie, since she came out in 2020 to confirm that he was 15
4) Supervising doesn’t equate to “support.” That’s just common sense
5) And I love how you linked me to an ayuuria interview, but seemed to have clearly missed her post where she said that Hogosha meant “legal guardian” in the same way that it does here in the states. Meaning, he’s her dad ^-^

Why did you feel the need to make a new post? To expose me to your followers so they can bully me? You already told me that was all you have to say under my post, why are you keeping this considering you already might have noticed we’ll never change our opinions?
I’m sorry but I can’t be part of bullying since it affects my mental health. That’s why I want to keep conversations as polite as I can.
1) How is not a fan theory? Rin was confirmed in episode 15. Can you show me the source of your claim that she’s not confirmed?
2) Rumiko said that she trusts Sumisawa and she even made changes in the script (VIZ interview). InuYasha’s story ended, yes, but she said she liked Sumisawa’s idea and, because InuYasha ended, she said that the show must be focused on Sesshomaru’s daughters as protagonists (Moroha was Sumisawa’s idea). If she wouldn’t have supported sessrin, she would have told Sumisawa during this “changes” that he should pick another wife. I’ll keep my word, it’s common sense. I feel like at this point you’re just doing mental gymnastics 😅
3) Rumiko is very protective over her characters, so if she really didn’t support what Sumisawa did, she should have said it, she’s definitely more important than Sumisawa business-speaking.
4) She also approved it as Sumisawa said in VIZ interview.
5) Ah, yes! I did read Ayuuria’s ask when someone ask her what hogosha meant, and she translated the entire sentence and she used the word  “guardian” alone. Also, “legal guardian” doesn’t necessarily mean fraternal relationship as I had a legal guardian that wasn’t neither my father/uncle/etc. (also, did you read ayuuria’s comment in that link you sent? about Rumiko?). I also follow a native japanese speaker on twitter, InuPosket, who was born, raised and lives in japan, and she used the word protector.
Even if she meant parent, that doesn’t change the fact that she made Sessrin happen in Yashahime. I don’t mind it though! If she really saw them as father and daughter and made them get married later, that’s ok! It’s her story and she can do whatever she wants ^-^

I’m sorry guys. I don’t mind interacting with people, but if you come to my post to make rude comments I’d have to block you for my own mental health 🙏
Thank you for understanding!

Sorry, I won’t comment on fan theories since this blog is purely about facts with sources, and the fact is that Rin has been confirmed as the mom in Hanyo no Yashahime. Actually, this is the first time I come across a person talking about the possibility of another mom since it’s been confirmed several times since episode 15 aired that Rin is 😅. But that’s your fan theory and you’re free to do as you want!
Ah yes, she did talk about Sesshomaru being Rin’s guardian! And I agree with it since I always saw him as a protector for Rin ^-^
Rumiko Takahashi is a very famous mangaka (and very powerful at that) so I don’t think she’d approve something she disagrees with. It’s just common sense. If she supervised the script and approved it (as Sumisawa said in VIZ interview), then she approved what was written in episode 15 😊
That’s all I’m saying too! Hope you have a good day!

I just wanted to show that Rumiko (that always knew who Sesshomaru’s wife was but couldn’t say it back then) does support the fact that he married that person (that, again, it’s Rin as it was confirmed for us fans in January). When she said those words, she obviously had Rin in mind, because that was already scripted in the show, no one else.

In this interview Rumiko Takahashi mentions Sesshomaru’s wife (she was answering questions regarding Inuyasha AND Hanyo no Yashahime), who ended up being Rin as it was confirmed in episode 15.

Rumiko Takahashi says SEASON 2.
Comment from Rumiko Takahashi
"I was looking forward to seeing it every week. The first term has ended in a very difficult place, but I think that the chapters on various mysteries, the whereabouts of the parents, etc. are full of highlights. What will happen to Setsuna!??"

I think that the problem is how we westerns see the term. Hogosha may mean legal parent, but Rumiko still agreed to make sessrin canon and talked them up in interviews, so odviously she doesn't see anything bad with Sesshomaru marrying Rin after she became an adult. She wrote a similar plot in her fire tripper manga, so, legal parent or not, is clear that she doesn't oppose. I just want the whole "Rumiko fought 2 producers because she hates sessrin" cleared because people is trying to use it to decanonize Yashahime. I have not seen a single japanese mad about the interview, so whatever that word means, doesn't seems to be a negative thing for sessrin. We are the only ones creating drama, as always.
Rumiko-sensei never stated that she fought producers. We would not have Yashahime otherwise
