The Heroes and Monsters moment to me has always been a “shippers will see whatever they want” moment. When Adam says that he’ll destroy everything Blake loves and Yang shows up, isn’t that putting Yang at the same level as everyone else? Make it make sense

Anon, this is basic storytelling. Adam says “destroy everything you love”. He says the word “love” and Yang immediately shows up. It's telling you to associate Yang with the word “love”. It's Blake's former love interest seeing the way Blake looks at Yang, seeing that Yang is loved by Blake and choosing to go for her.

Again, basic storytelling. If instead of Yang, it'd been Sun, for example, I think no one would have doubts over whether it was supposed romantic or not for obvious reasons. But two girls? Shippers seeing what they wanted to see. Saying that when it turned out that they were 100% going down the romantic route with those two and after they confessed and kissed is genuinely hilarious
