A Comment That Made a Difference

I'm going to kind of throw myself out there with this post, but this comment couldn't be ignored.

     Having made Youtube videos since I was 13, I've encountered many ups and downs, since Youtube's large amount of remodeling in policy in-regards to copyrights. Not only in Youtube, but in my life. All the events in my life that have stepped on me trying to push me down, have more than once affected my Youtube experience upload-wise. There have been SO many times I've just wanted to go to my Youtube account and just delete it off the face of the earth, or just stop uploading videos permanently, but one way or another ONE person makes such an impact on me that it leads me in the other direction every time. It's that kind of inspiration you get when someone, even a total stranger, lets you know you're doing some kind of good not only for yourself, but for someone else. It's the people who tell me that because of me they started dancing, or they've become more open to new things, because they felt a connection from me. It's because of that connection I keep uploading. Before I even started dancing, I was always that awkward Asian kid who skipped a grade and was always shoved around by the older kids. Now i'm on the other side of the see-saw and people are becoming intimidated by me and seeing me as someone "better" than them. I just want to say that I will never let all the inspiration get to my head, because, I don't want to give the impression I'm better than anyone else, I want to give the impression I'm always open to making new friends and breaking barriers. I want to be known as that guy who wasn't afraid to introduce himself to a whole crowd of complete strangers. Who could make even the tightest shell open up to him. I don't want to separate people, I want to create a harmony between totally different wavelengths. 

     So, drmeerkat12345, if you ever see this, I want you to know you're ONE of those people who made a difference in my life, and the next time you happen to see me, I want you to approach me and tell me "You're Welcome", because I can't tell you enough how much I hold your comment to heart!

         Hey, guys! Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking things out! Today I just wanted to kick off my blogging days by THANKING all of you who have been supporting my channel! There's roughly about 842 of you guys that have been sticking with me until I've officially become a partner for Youtube, and it's because of you guys that I've lasted this long making random/fun videos for you guys! It's been about 5 years now (started when I was 13 years old) being apart of the Youtube community, and despite all the changes Youtube has gone through, you, the subscribers, haven't changed one bit! 

        So about my newly uploaded video, "No Subscribers". There's a huge change of pace in this video. Before I start talking about it, I wanted to give a little back story as to why the change of pace! For all my oldest subscribers, you guys probably remember my old dance videos where I used to just c-walk and all that jazz, 

well after a few videos down the road, I had gone on a HUGE hiatus, because of the numerous times my newest videos would be blocked for "copyright" issues. Now if you're not familiar with Youtube, going on hiatuses are VERY BAD. Having a huge gap in my uploads was detrimental for my channel, and I still beat myself up for it. Fortunately I was invited into the monetization program for one of my dance videos! Ironic isn't it? I couldn't upload copyrighted dance videos, but at the same time I was getting paid for my already uploaded ones! Of course we all know that I can't keep uploading dance videos, because I could get banned, and it was some kind of exception that I had to take advantage of! So from then on I experimented by uploading different types of videos, and took more hiatuses, due to becoming frustrated with making the right kind of videos and college. After I became partnered though, (application finally being processed) I took one last hiatus to think about what I need to do with my channel, and what I WANT to do along with what you guys WANT to see, and lo and behold, I came up with the idea of making my own music and just dancing to that, which resulted in the creation of "No Subscribers" my newest video!

        So the changes I've come to embrace in making my newest video:

1.) Completely original soundtrack (made with my mouth)

2.) A sad attempt at rapping 

3.) Frame stitching 

         If there's one thing I've learned with doing this new video, it's that IT IS SO MUCH FUN!!! But on the flip-side, It took me hours of dealing with frustration with my computer continuously crashing, because if you didn't know, Frame stitching is so memory INTENSIVE that after adding my 4th scene my computer was begging for mercy and repeatedly "forced quit" on me. I plan on doing more videos like these, but hopefully I can overcome this "hardware" issue!

        I think i've written enough for my first blog! I hope you guys enjoyed all the time i've put into my Youtubing and really hope that you guy can stick along for the ride!
