Here are the ideas of three versions of my homepage design. I don't want to make my homepage looks too complicated, so I choose a more simple and clean style when design it.

Create a Website

As a UI/UX designer, I want to build a website which can post my own works and make it as a platform to inspire or get inspired from other designers!

In order to create a beautiful website, we have to follow the “FOUR Ds” rule, which are Discover, Define, Design and Develop. Let’s see the Discover part first. 

For example, if I choose ‘Behance.net’ as my client, firstly, I have to discover its website in two ways of analyze, which are competitive audits and market analysis, always, strategists takes the role of market analysis and designer takes the role of the analysis of visual audit parts. 

As a strategist, we have to think about three questions:

1. What is your market? 2. Who is your user? 3. Who are your competitors? In this case, our client, Behance as a platform for showcasing and discovering creative works, the market of it is big. For example, it could work for web builders, companies/people that need creative design posters or other artworks. And its user could be everyone, most users are designers or the people who works in different creative fields. As one of the world’s largest creative website, it has many competitors like Pinterest, Awwwards, Dribble, Houzz,etc. 

After strategist analyze the market, now is the designer’s time for the competitive visual audit analysis!

1. Create screenshots for all of those competitors

2. Choose one competitor and overlay the website grid on top of a screenshot of it. 

3. Color palette

4. Identify the typeface 

5. List all the media used (image, video,audio,interactive embedded assets).
