Witchcraft: Pseudonyms I
Tumblr media
Witches have been using  pseudonyms to conceal their spells for thousands of years, and to due this, common foliage now possess practically universal terms for the practicing collective. Not only may these terms be used to write very marvelous sounding chants and spells, but these terms are excellent if you desire to keep spells to yourself or only practitioners.
Pseudonyms:
Bat’s Wings: Holly Bird’s Foot: Fenugreek Birds Eye: Pansy Birds Nest: Carrot Calf’s Snout: Snapdragon Cat’s Foot: Ground Ivy Eye of Newt: Mustard Seed Goat’s Leaf: Honeysuckle Lion’s Foot: Lady’s Mantle Lion’s Tooth: Dandelion Lions Herb: Columbine Snake Bite: Plantain Sparrow’s Tongue: Knotweed Thor’s Hat: Wolfs Bane Unicorn Root: Ague Root

A lesson on Servitors
Introduction
(This article is long and subject to edits, changes and corrections as I see them. As a warning, information may disappear or appear as I try to make clarifications in the future. This article is not complete by a long shot.)
Tumblr media
In the Chaos Magick ladder which I briefly described in a previous article we have Servitors as the next evolution of our high magick. Just to remind you we go from Sigils -> Servitors -> Egregores -> God forms. Servitors are much more difficult to put into application than sigils. They require more time and energy as well. The good news (for some) is that Servitors can still be created in private. Egregores and Godforms are almost impossible to create without some sort of extra participation or fellowship with other people (however I have some clever methods to use which will be described when I get to those subjects.) Regardless, before I jump into how to create a servitor, I need to clearly define WHAT a servitor IS.
What is a Servitor?
As servitor is a thought form of your own creation. One of the most popular occurrences (back in the day) was the creation of imaginary friends by children. The power and purpose of your servitor will be entirely dependent on you and your desire to develop it. For young children, to have a non judgmental companion to walk beside them as they learn to socially cope with other people is a common mission for some servitors. Another way to think of Servitors is as “Familiars.” Now this comes with a bit of a warning, without proper attention your servitor may gain independence and a life of its own (Thus evolving into an Egregore.) I am all about responsibility and making your magick do exactly what it was intended to do, so I will give you some tips on how to keep a leash on your familiar.
Why would I want a Servitor?
Like I said in a previous article, sigils are typically where the buck stops for most Chaotes. They are powerful, work as intended and are very accurate. You could technically stop right there and have everything you will ever need for working with magick. However, magick is more of a walk for some and an exploration of endless possibilities for others. Servitor creation is the next step into some deep waters and a step out into the wild frontier of Magick. This is where the pedal hits the metal; this is where the wild adventure begins. For many adult occultists, this is also a return to childhood which can be a very scary place for some.
That being said; familiars and their purpose are left to your imagination. A companion (friend), a bodyguard, and yes even lovers are all applications for Servitor work. However let me come with a warning, the more you feed a servitor the stronger and more independent it can become. As such I advise highly against creating servitors for sexual gratification. You may end up giving birth to a hag or a succubus (a result of uncontrolled mutation), which in the end will make your life miserable. It would be better to create a wing(wo)man to help bolster your confidence to gain a physical mate. My point ultimately is, just like sigils, there is no limit on what a servitor can do, look like or become. The only limit is your imagination. If a sigils is a magickal computer program, Servitors are magickal robots, just shy of becoming Magickal AI.
Servitors are astral constructs.  Servitors can cause physical change.
Practical use for servitors include:
An assistant in solo magickal work.
A protector for your house.
An assistant for keeping your workspace clean.
To name just a few.
Okay I get it! How do I MAKE one?
First rule: Temper your enthusiasm with caution. Respect the ritual you are about to perform.
Second Rule: We do not create accidents; make sure you truly want to create a servitor. These are not toys, they are very real beings created from your energies, they are in short, your children. Be a responsible parent.
Third Rule: Always, always, always, set up rules and restrictions to keep your servitors exactly that. Without rules, a servitor has the potential to become an Egregore and no longer under your control.
Optional but highly recommended: When I create servitors I get into the habit of breaking down ones I no longer use and incorporate them into the newer, upgraded models. I had a bad experience with leaving “junk servitors” unattended only to have them haunting my dreams and bumping into me in the middle of the night. If you are down with a servitor, release the energy and let it be free. This act prevents the buildup of malice and negative energies from neglected thought forms. Keep your workspace clean, in the astral and in the physical.
Now that we have that established let me begin.
As always with Chaos Magick, there is no right or wrong way to do this. What I offer you is what has worked for me. Tweak it for your purposes. (For me) It always helps to have a template to start with, but YOUR magickal walk is exactly that, yours not mine; you are the final Judge on what you are willing and able to commit to such a practice.
Step 1: State the purpose of your Servitor
Create a sigil or series of sigils which will define the purpose of your servitor. “Protect my home,” “Keep my house clean,” so on and so forth. Make as many sigils as you need. This is the easy part, feel free to find my article on sigil making in this blog.
Step 2: Create a body for your Servitor
You have two options here.
Option A:
You can bind them to a fetish like is a doll, figurine or even a drawing of your own design. I am a naturally arts and crafts kind of person so this is my preferred method.
Option B:
However if for whatever reason I don’t not have the time or money to create a physical representation of my servitor, I use meditation and create the servitor in my mind and in astral space.
Regardless, the process requires the same amount of energy, effort and IMAGINATION. You must visualize the servitor. How tall is it? Does it have limbs? Can it speak? It can take hours to create a body for your  servitor, but you need to define as many of its functions and characteristics as possible. Its body needs to be a vivid as possible. Some of my servitors have looked like Lovecraftian horrors, while one of my longtime companions is a very cute four foot tall blonde elf girl who speaks in wind chimes.
Step 3: Bind your sigils in the body of the servitor, and put in its safety protocols.
Binding your sigils can be as simple as drawing them inside your picture, carving them into your doll, or imagining the sigils being put in place of where its “heart” or “battery” may be. The point is to make sure your sigils are part of your servitor. Once this occurs, and you are convinced the two have become one, a safety should be put into place. As I said before, without a leash or restrain, your servitor has cart-blanche to run amok and out of your control. You have again, to options here: A command word or a counter sigil. The command word can be: “Stop!” “Sit!” “Go away!” It is best to keep it simple; although I know a few people who used poetry for particularly devious machines to make sure not everyone can shut them down. That is the key to command words however, anyone can use them. A servitor must be compelled once a person speaks a word or command phrase to abide by its programming.
Safety Method A: Command Words
Creating a command word is as simple as touching your servitor (if you used a fetish, this is easier) and speaking plainly to them “When I say <x> you will do <y>” (X and Y are your phrase and its action.) Repeat this as many times as you need to remember or until you feel you servitor is ready to comply. You can put as many command words on your servitor as you want, just be careful not to use the same word to do multiple things, or that they words are counterproductive to its mission. You could confuse the crap out of it.
Safety Method B: Counter Sigils
The second method, counter sigils, are kind of a fire and forget method. It lets a servitor know where it  is or isn’t allowed to be. This requires you to name your servitor and upon naming it, creating a sigil of its name. You must decide if this sigil is a ward or a summoning upon its creation. You do not need to commit much thought to this nor does it change the method of how the sigil is created, the intent is good enough. “This sigil means you are welcome to work in this place,” or “This sigil prevents you from going into this place,” Is good enough of a declaration for this method to work. I have seen people bind servitors in boxes with this method and let them out when needed, while others have put the symbols on doors and the like to let servitors know where they should go.
Step 4: BRING YOUR CREATION TO LIFE!!!!!
The ritual can be as elaborate or mundane as you want. However I will tell you, the more elaborate the more powerful your servitor will be in the long run. I have used a simple hand flick gesture (like turning on a light) to activate some, they only lasted a few days before the broke down. My longtime companion servitor had entire weeks of music and food dedicated to her and if she didn’t have any safety protocols in place, probably would have become an Egregore by now. Still, perform a ritual that lets the servitor know it is born. Throw it a birthday party, show it around the house, get silly, get childish. There is no right or wrong way to invite this new entity into your home, just know, the more gnosis you feed it, the better.
Step 4:
Regular maintenance of your servitor is a must. Your servitor must be in your mind from time to time. If you forget about it, it loses energy and dies. While, just thinking about it is okay, offerings or rewards are much more potent. For my lesser servitors I give them a drop of life force when they have done well. For my companion, I have treated her to donuts and milk. The key is to understand the relationship between you and your servitor. Unless you set them free, they cannot live without you. If you forget them, they will die. Woe to the chaote who creates a servitor with no restrictions and then neglects them, you may create a vengeful spirit to infest your house. So reward you servitor when they have done their duties and let them know you still care about them.
Dismantling your Servitors:
I include this part because all good occultists know the value of banishment. Some servitors outlive their usefulness and thus need to be released back into the cosmos. This is not a cruel thing to do, as a matter of fact; actively releasing your unused servitors is very humane. It is cruel to leave a bound servitor unattended to die an agonizing death of forgetfulness and neglect.
Dismantling is simple. Take the abject or thought of you servitor and tell it “You are free” or “I set you free” Imagine all of the bindings and words leaving and falling apart into harmless light. If you have a fetish, set it ablaze or destroy it in some gentle way. Make sure that the object can no longer physically house the servitor. IT is a very good practice to tell it, that it has performed well and it is time for it to move on. If the servitor doesn’t seem to want to leave then you may have to perform this a few time. My companion didn’t want to leave me when I tried to banish her the first three times, she was so fiercely loyal that I gave her a second birthday and still keep her to this day.
That is servitor making in a nutshell.
I am sure many of you have questions or will want me to elaborate. So feel free to ask questions if you need help. This is a basic outline, I am vague for a reason to encourage you to go out there and find what works for you. Just be safe and Chaos Magick responsibly.

'KIA'
A while ago I dreamed my little brother - I was crying and sad about his death - he tried to comfort me and said, "Ricca! look for 'Kia'! Kia!
''The unity which according to the mind performs the dual functions of will and perception is called by magicians Kia. Sometimes it is called the spirit, or soul, or life force ... Kia is capable of occult power because it is a fragment of the great life force of the universe ... The 'thing' responsible for the origin and continued action of events is called by magicians Chaos ... Chaos ... is the force that caused life to evolve from matter, and is currently most concentrated visible in the human life force, or Kia, where it is the source of consciousness ... To the extent that the Kia can become one with Chaos, it can expand its will and perception into the universe to work magic. ''
It brought me a certain peace of mind.

Tumblr media
Het bracht mij een bepaalde rust.

BETTER SHIT TO PUT IN YOUR GRIMOIRES THAN THE BASIC SHIT EVERYONE SAYS:
Maps! Maps! MAPS! If you're a death witch, get one for the cemeteries you visit and mark gravestones/areas you've practiced in! Garden witches! Map out your gardens! Green witches! Map where you find specific herbs in your area! Lunar witches! Mark the best spots to go look at the sky! Make a key! Take notes!
Recipes for COMPONENTS! Write down how to make the mixtures you use in spells often- A special salt mixed with herbs and put under the moon, a mixture of oils for protection, the herb mixes sachets you keep making to add to sachets, whatever!
For green witches- press samples of stuff and glue them in! Go to an arboretum and ask for permission to take leaves to press, they'll usually let you take some- add them in with your notes about trees
Cool ways to make spells! I make spells in envelopes and on empty spools, what are some ways you do?
The local plants in your area and what they do. You're not going to be likely to find chrysanthemums to forage in Missouri, but you will find creeping charlie and prairie plants. What can you do with a thistle?
When you celebrate a sabbat, write down what you did and include samples! Ribbons from your Beltane altar, a pressed sample of your lemmas harvest, a scrap of your Yule decorations. Maybe do a spell and tape the remnants into your grimoire in a plastic baggie
Learn how to make an envelope out of paper just by folding it, how to string seeds, how to dry plants, how to macrame rocks and hang them from your window. Find those little witchy skills and write them down.
How to incorporate your hobby into your magic. Sigiling origami paper, weaving knot magick into your crochet, making blessed bookmarks, etc
Substitutes! Rosemary, rose and clear quartz are good for most things, but there are more substitutes to be used that are more powerful. Roanoke bells are good substitutes for bluebells, apparently.
Correspondences of odd things. Turns out different kinds of cats have different correspondences, huh.
Superstitions and such from where you're from.
For kitchen witches: easy to alter recipes. An egg noodle recipe that takes herbs really well, a simple bread recipe that can be dressed up for spells or rituals, how to make a good pie crust that you can sprinkle nutmeg in or whatever you desire.
Or: What foods go good with what herbs. You'll make a better apple pie (and get the benefits of apples, nutmeg, and cinnamon together!) If you know how your herbs taste together with your cooking. (Most kitchen witches know this stuff, but for a green witch who likes to make teas or a sea witch that likes to make soup, etc, this is important)

FAE COURTS
This is only a small portion of known Fae courts, so please acknowledge that there’s far more than just this. Be careful with the Fae, and stay educated on them.
Spring Court
Very cheerful faeries who celebrate life in all its forms. They are the most inclined to pull pranks, though these could potentially turn dangerous when they fail to realize how fragile non-fae are. They love flowers and spread happiness and joy. They enjoy dancing and prefer not to think about death at all, and the other courts often see them as naive. Polite, seductive and curious.
Summer Court
Well-mannered and polite, though not as cheerful as the spring court. Not afraid of death, but wishes to enjoy life anyways. Smart, but not conceited. Will punish those who harm and insult them, but are not prone to kill or torture unless they’re absolutely furious. They prefer to respect life rather than take it away.
Autumn Court
Mysterious and strange yet very beautiful. They view death as a natural part of life, and do not understand the hate and fear surrounding it. They are not conceded, but do hold grudges when wronged. When disrespected, they become very cruel, often cursing or torturing those who fail to respect them for their own amusement. The autumn court, however, does give the best gifts and boons out of all the courts. When respected, they will show that courtesy right back. Those on their good side are very fortunate.
Winter Court
Hearts of ice, both figuratively and literally. Expect death when dealing with them, as they do not care for life and only focus on decay. They are cruel, and proud of it. Threatening, dark and eerie. Hates mortal creatures, and thinks other courts are weak. They gain amusement from their own cruelty.
Seelie and Unseelie
The general idea is that Seelie are good, holy and pure. Unseelie are considered unholy, tainted and evil. Spring and Summer could be considered Seelie, while Autumn and Winter could be considered Unseelie. While these definitions seem blunt, the reality is not as clear-cut. Unseelie can be kind and take in mortals to provide for them (though they probably consider them “pets” more than anything), while Seelie can play evil pranks without realizing how harmful they can be, and they definitely won’t apologize for it. These terms are complicated, and every Fae is as unique as a snowflake. However, these definitions still might be useful for getting a general idea of how to interact with the Fair Folk.
Tumblr media
FAERIE CONDUCT
Whatever you do, don’t be rude to them. Fae are old and powerful creatures, and will take revenge if hurt or insulted. Avoid being nosey when it comes to faerie business, be gracious when accepting gifts or blessings they give you, and never approach them with iron on your person.
Do not lie, as fae can sense truth and will punish liars. Also remember to always keep your promises to them, they expect diligence in others.
Do not say sorry, thank you, or accept any gifts from them. This means you become in debt to the fae, and that is a very bad thing to be. Say “I appreciate this” or something like it instead.
Do not give them your real name. That gives them power over you. You should give them a nickname, alias or title instead.
Do not mention any children, infants or loved ones to them. The Fae love kids, but they have a tendency to steal them and put one of their own in their place. They will also cause misfortune upon your loved ones if mistreated, so it’s best not to mention them at all.
Do not provoke them or invade their space
Don’t call them “the fae” or “fairies” to their face. Say “fair folk” or “good neighbors” instead
Ask if something is a gift or a contract. If it’s a gift, it may be considered rude to not take it
Do not dance with them or accept food or drink from them. This usually ends with you dancing until you die, or being forever tied and abducted into the fae realm.
Mind your words. The Fae are masters of trickery, they’re naturally mischievous in nature. They take things very literally, and even if you don’t break any of these rules explicitly, they could misconstrue your words and mess up a request. Choose your words VERY carefully, especially when asking for help.
Tumblr media
How to tell if Faeries are nearby:
Feeling warm tingles across your skin
Things go missing and reappear elsewhere in your home
You see things out the corner of your eyes
You find yourself wanting to participate in childish activities like swinging and skipping
Random floral scented breezes
You have a habit of bringing nature inside
You find yourself wanting to save insects instead of killing them when you find them inside
Faerie circles
You are followed by crows and ravens
Increased animal activity
Shimmers in the air
You hear mysterious giggling
You find large patches of clovers
Tumblr media
Faerie Garden Ideas
Thyme is often used for Faerie communication
Heather marks the resting place of faeries
Alyssum is useful in faerie gardens
Buttercups, Columbines, Dianthus/Sweet William, Hollyhock, Jasmine, Peony, Primrose and Rosemary are associated with faeries and are known to invite them
Hawthorn is sacred to faeries, so don’t mess with Hawthorn trees
Hummingbirds and Rabbits are associated with Faeries, so having them in your garden is a good thing
Tumblr media
NOTES
Many fae are not humanoid or traditionally “cute”. Do not be alarmed if you see one and it’s not what you expected
Most fae are much larger than you think too
If fae are in your house, they probably won’t hurt you. They likely believe it’s just as much their house as it is yours
Appliances will randomly stop working. Don’t worry about it
Do NOT hurt the spiders and bugs
They will interact with your pets and animals
Do not accept any items from Fae unless it’s explicitly stated to be a gift
If you write about your experiences with them, they may try and stop you. In which case you should stop, since you’re sharing too much about them
When it’s 3AM and you randomly feel bursts of energy, the desire to dance and be productive, you’ve been faeriestruck. This is normal
Play music with constant rhythms for them
Always thank plants when plucking flowers and leaves
Your fae will eventually learn things about you, especially if they live in your house. Do not panic
Befriend your fae or they will never stop bothering you. Just be careful

Baneful magic ingredients and their correspondences
I got a LOT of these from @afledglings-guideto-witchcraft when they answered an ask I sent in, that blog is a fantastic place for information whether you've been practicing a few days or a few years imo.
I've been posting a lot about trying to find information on this subject and now I've gotten a good list compiled in a google doc and figured I'd share it with y'all, feel free to add on your own notes or just any commentary you have or experiences you've had using certain ingredients. I'm using some of these to make a hex jar to try and help a friend out with a shitty abusive household, which I might post more about if y'all would be interested in it, or if I just feel up to it.
Black pepper: bad luck, punishing negative energies
Pickle juice: to bring sourness
Broken glass: cutting ties, warding off negative energies, pain
Black salt: banishment
Thumb tacks: pain and suffering
Rotten tea/anything moldy: for detriment on their life
Hot peppers: pain, irritation, burning, anger
Garlic: disgust and repulsion
Dead matches: to drain energy
Salt: to intensify wounds, to sting, to keep someone away
Mustard seed: strife and discord
Onion: breaking relationships/habits/etc, strife
Lemons: causing pain (think lemon juice on a cut), souring a relationship, or any good luck the target has been receiving lately.
Rusty Nails: can be stabbed into lemons, or added to sour jars/hex jars. Pins the hex/curse to the target.
Vinegar: souring, dissolves relationships
Poppyseed: intoxication and confusion
Alum: stops communication/speech.
Small pickles: male impotency
Beet pickles: female hormonal problems
Thick mud: darkness, suffocation, feeling trapped
Feces/urine: to make their life nasty
Black candle wax or strings: binds the curse to the target
Coffee: insomnia
Tea: lethargy/oversleeping
Gravel: Being crushed and stepped on by life and the people around you
Don't ever let anyone tell you you are a bad person or you're going to get hurt if you practice baneful magic at all no matter what. The threefold law is a rule that Wiccans follow, no one else is obligated to believe in it, I respect people who believe in it and they should respect people who don't. Always make sure to judge a situation very carefully and use this magic appropriately.
And, very very important, research on how to protect yourself from a spell backfiring (because you can get hurt), make sure that your intention is very focused on your specific target(s), and, if you're doing something similar to what I'm doing, do something (protection jars, spells, etc) to protect other people around this person or people from the effects of the jinx, hex, or curse. Oh and if you're casting a spell on someone else who practices witchcraft, make sure you know the signs if they deflect the spell back onto you and try and do what you can to prevent that from happening.

How To Beat the Time Lag + Create Your Own Manifesting
With a lot of people distancing from neville Goddard and creating their own paths, I’ve decided to write a post on how to create your own rules and beat the manifesting time lag. I’ve already written about how To make your own rules so this is more of a new guide for my new followers! Enjoy!
Truth be told: time lags resistance and wait times don’t exist. Myths of manifesting don’t even exist. Any rules you have been told (even ones by me and I sincerely apologize for that but hey we all grow and learn) are not exactly true. You decide if they are. If you want a time lag, you can have one for your own benefit. But you don’t have to wait or work for your desires. You don’t have to believe in self concept or mental diet or do them if you don’t want to. If you don’t have any to watch your thoughts just affirm that you always have positive thoughts and negative thoughts never have to manifest, eliminating a mental diet. Now this isn’t to say that they’re not important or DO work. They’re great TOOLS and you should practice them if you choice but again they’re TOOLS and therefore optional if you so wish. You can create your own practice. You can bend the law to your desires. You’re god and the operant power! The law works for you! So write down your rules and get rid of the time lag myth. I now have a rule that all my desires manifest in 24 hours or less and it works!
But how do you make the rules, you might be asking? You write them down or affirm them. Make a list of everything you think of manifesting and then fine tune it to fit your ideals. Here are examples of my rules:
-the law bends to my will and power. I control the law and everything stems from me.
-limiting beliefs and resistance doesn’t exist bc nothing can stop my desires.
-All I need to do to manifest is affirm, script or visualize but most of all persist in any way I choose. All methods work instantly for me
-all my desires manifest quickly easily and effortlessly. Manifesting will always work and be fun and easy for me
-Only my positive thoughts can manifest, negative thoughts have 0 power or affect over life
-The time lag doesn’t exist I get my desires instantly or in 24 hour or less
-I will always get what I want no matter and the circumstances don’t matter.
-I can have be or do anything or anyone I want. I cannot fail at manifesting aka I will always get what I want no matter what. Nothing can deny my desires. I’m the operant power and in charge of everything. The world is my oyster and I have 0 limitations!
These are just my basic rules and they work so well. I read them every single day or I affirm them when I need guidance! You see how easy it is to customize the law and make it work for you? It’s amazing what we can do if we put our mind to it. I hope this post has helped and I’ll see y’all soon!

i also want to clarify that i intended diversity to be like, observable and/or cultural differences, vs individualaity being mental differences (i. e., some autistic folk have severe motor complications whereas some other autistics may not).

Just like Apollo and Diana don’t hate each other, Apollo and Bacchus don’t hate each other either. It’s offensive to assume otherwise.
Aside from being family, Apollo and Bacchus are opposites, but being an opposite as compared to someone else does not mean these two Divine beings despise each other. They are capable of socialization on levels incomprehensible to us, They are Ancient, and wise, and able to resolve any issues that arise. Their world is one of acceptance despite all differences, not hatred and misery - and we should learn this acceptance from Them.  Gods are more than Their respective abodes, more than Their powers, and unquestionably more than Their myths - which are not a religious source.
There are votive sources showing that Apollo and Bacchus would often be worshipped in turns, as part of a never-ending cycle of seasons, natural and unbreakable. There is no “rivalry” between the two, and thinking otherwise is just seeing Gods from some weird perspective that paints Them as hateful, spiteful, and unable to coexist.
Not a single God, no matter what Their stance is, would stop Their worshippers from interacting with other Gods either, even if said Gods are their exact opposites. Not a single Deity would ever stop something healthy from blooming, and if They did - it wasn’t healthy. But unless it’s unhealthy, there’s nothing stopping worshippers of Apollo from reaching out to Bacchus, and vice versa.
Gods represent parts of the natural world, parts of cosmos, and while some of these parts can come down to a clash, it does not imply hatred or distaste. Thinking that one part of nature despises another, and not simply contrasts it, is not polytheistic at all.
