i have no desire to take anything from the remakes but honestly the cloud and yuffie content . . . cute.

forever thinking about the way yuffie doesn’t seem to react to the shinra-wutai war itself at all but the aftermath of it, specifically the way that wutai is robbed of its unique culture and is reduced to a tourist spot, hits her esp hard.

writing superheroes on other blogs and generally getting the specific type of way that being a hero destroys a person at the end of the day always has me going Hm. whenever snow talks about being a hero.

"..." with a hint of a smirk, cloud smushes his hand into her hair and ruffles. (ik this is the wrong blog but now im too lazy to swap)

there's a look of vague curiosity when he initially approaches her - head tipped just slightly to one side and big brown eyes staring up at him as instinct errs on the side of friend over foe as he nears her. never a thought that this could end in complete betrayal until it's much, much too late to do anything about it, his hand already firmly in her hair and his intention painfully clear by the time that she fully registers the direction this interaction is headed in.

❛ hey - ! ❜ her eyes snap shut as a first reaction to his mussing, nose scrunching up in distaste with the surprised noise that escapes her, so shocked by the turn of events that she ends up standing there at his mercy for several seconds before she even thinks to try and stop him once he's started, finally raising her arms, catching his fingers in hers between strands of her hair and jerks her head and his hand in opposite directions in the hopes of separating the two.

the damage is already done - her hair is a complete mess by the time she frees herself - and now she's scowling up at him. ❛ cloud, you jerk! ❜

she's stealthy as her profession as a ninja requires, not a sound preceding her approach as she moves up behind @blighteds, careful until the very last possible moment to pounce on him - the entirety of her weight threatening to collide against his back in one fell sweep as she attempts to wrap arms around his neck. ❛ got you, cloud! ❜

frankly on the way to a smile and advent children may both be rough but the scenes they gave us where nanaki tries to run into yuffie's arms for a hug and vincent gets so annoyed with her calling him all the time he feels the need to ask cloud to tell her to stop? gold.
