Chapter 8

It’s now or never. She’s either going to tell him or she’ll never get the chance. Sucking in a deep breath, she meets his eyes. But even as the words form in her mind, they stubbornly refuse to leave her lips. Her mouth goes completely dry, a lump in her throat that’s impossible to ignore. Blue eyes sparkling with warmth, Miles smiles down at her. “What is it?” Fuck, she can’t do it. “Nothing, I just wanted to say that you look really good this morning.”

A Tim fic! 👀👀👀👀

I already answered Jess' question about it here, but have a snippet of them as kids.

They weaved around the garden beds, bursting through shadows cast by the late afternoon sun. The scent of blooming flowers filled the air, mingling with the earthy aroma of damp soil disturbed by their frolicking. The world was alive with their game, each moment vibrant and pulsing with life. "Almost...gotcha!" Ellie reached out, fingers grazing the hem of Tim's shirt as he slipped just beyond her reach. "Ha! You'll have to be quicker than that," Tim called over his shoulder, chuckles trailing behind him like a comet's tail. The chase continued, a dance of near-catches and daring escapes, until finally, Ellie lunged with a surprising burst of speed, tagging Tim squarely on the back. "Got you!"

Made of Starlight is a summer romance between Bobby and a girl called Daisy. He spends the summer in her town for a temporary job and introduces her to his carefree side, showing her it's okay to dream.

This one tends to be overwhelming to think about, if I'm being honest.

I think about it as three separate fics, if I'm being honest, since they feel like three separate stories even though you can't just read 1 or 2 unless you like unhappy endings.

In the first part, Noah and Bobby are teenagers, falling in love. However, Bobby has big dreams and, after college, leaves their small town to pursue them, breaking up with Noah and leaving him behind. In the second part, Bobby settles into his new life and starts a relationship. However, he's not over Noah and ends the relationship. In the final part, several years later, Bobby returns to his hometown for a book signing and finds Noah running the bookstore. Bobby realizes his buried feelings for Noah have resurfaced and is torn between leaving it alone or making a move.

Just Two Kids, You and I????? 👀

The story literally starts when they're just kids - Ellie and Tim grow up together, their parents being quite close, and Tim thinks the world of her. As teenagers, they fall in love, and the story follows them through until they're elderly - it's only 6 chapters, but it's a sweet, fluffy fic.

As a Henrik stan, I obviously need to know about By the Water!

It's an AU because all of my fics are, but Emma (MC) moves to Cornwall to start a new life. She meets Henrik by the water (of course), as she finds the waves soothing, and he often goes to watch the sun set or rise. They are instantly interested in each other, and Henrik drags her out of her shell, inviting her on spontaneous hiking trips and encouraging her to do stuff she'd never dare to do. However, they're very different people – she likes safety and likes to know what's coming next in life, and Henrik isn't really ready to settle in one place. He wants to explore the world, and that scares the crap out of Emma.

(also I know Henrik is from the Isle of Wight, but he has recently moved from there for his own job)
