I know me and a hundred other more people have talked about this before, but there was so many more ways to re-imagine hanzo’s character in mk1 other than making him a child

I would be truly interested in seeing a hanzo who remains human and what skills they would’ve given him in that case, I think I would also loved to see the theme we saw in mk1 with kenshi, mileena and baraka (among others) of how there’s certain events you can’t escape, and I don’t mean it as in “kill his family again” but more of how the idea of fearing that inevitable awful destiny being what corrupts him later on in the story

It would be so much more interesting seeing harumi and satoshi in some way being the ones that loose hanzo…because he was trying to avoid loosing them.

What I mention earlier is probably what they plan with kid hanzo but like…why couldn’t they do that keeping him an adult omg 💀

The Shirai Ry-Brew is a coffeehouse/roasters that Hanzo and his adopted sons run that is just down the street from the Lin Kuei dojo and gym. Kuai Liang is back in town to help his brother run the place after their dad’s passing and because his daughter, Frost, is going to start at the local college soon along with the rest of the kombat kids. The two single fathers meet and slowly begin to fall for one another.

Also Bi-Han and Hanzo have hated each other for years and for extremely petty reasons.

Hanzo and Bi-Han hate each other bc Bi-Han thinks Hanzo messed up his coffee order on purpose and Hanzo maintains that Bi-Han took a coffee that wasn't his.

Kuai Liang thinks this feud is stupid and Shirai Ryu-Brew is the only place that hasn't banned Frost for her ludicrously elaborate sugary concoction she invented when she was five

Having them be college age is awesome, but there's also another au in there where all the kids are under ten

Adopted satoshi AU and the parallels between hanzo and satoshi vs takeda and kenshi, great ground for angst

Takeda seeing how hanzo never gave up on satoshi while knowing how his own dad abandoned him (technically for his own good but yk)

oooooo especially if we have Hanzo still looking for Satoshi

Like, he's pretty convinced his son is dead, but it could have been a trick by Quan Chi and even though theres no proof, only a slim hope, he's clinging to it (He knows Harumi is gone bc if she was alive she would have come back the moment the Shirai Ryu were refounded)

So he always looks for Satoshi, just in case, just because there might be a chance

While Kenshi, though he did so to save Takeda's life, got rid of him the first chance he got (as far as Takeda knows)

Takeda ends up being really pissed off for a while and Hanzo doesn't know how to fix it (Kenshi ends up coming back and Hanzo gets the two to agree to some family therapy, which he joins on the occasions where he is needed.)

I'm about a third of the way done, but here's an excerpt of what I've got so far:

Given the unsatisfactory end to their last fight, the adrenaline still flooding Hanzo’s system, and the nameless tension crackling between them, he sees little reason not to indulge them both before trying to get answers.

Perhaps it is reckless, but Hanzo never claimed to be a cautious man.

“If I run, are you going to chase me?” Hanzo asks, his voice breathy and rasping even to his own ears.

Wordlessly, Kuai Liang nods, his grin widening as Hanzo takes another, more deliberate step back. The sharp fangs poking out from under Kuai Liang’s lips shine in the rising sunlight and Hanzo shudders once more as he is struck with the sudden and all consuming urge to feel them buried in his neck.

He doesn’t even care that they’d probably break skin and leave a scar.

On the contrary, the thought of it is far more enticing than it really should be.

“Good,” Hanzo rumbles with a grin of his own, anticipation settling under his skin at the way Kuai Liang’s eyes light up.

Without another word, Hanzo is off, turning and running through the woods as fast as he can.

I'm planning on spreading my bottom and monsterfucker Hanzo agenda with this one

What if satoshi’s adoptive parents had some sort of debt to the black dragon and that’s why they got killed, satoshi goes after them and in the process maybe meets frost in the fighting rings..

Frost and Satoshi being unhinged besties is my fave way to write a satoshi lives au

I'd bet she was how he found his way to the Shirai Ryu in this au, bc she just vanishes from the streets for a while and he gets really worried, only to run into her again after his adoptive parents are killed (it would be kinda cool if they knew each other before) and then he tells her what happened and she's like "Yknow, i don't like bug man but he'd probably help you bc avenging a murdered family is kinda his thing, want me to put you in touch?"

We know Hanzo & Kuai Liang working together is a hell of a team up. Maybe with Hanzo a part of the Lin Kuei he and Kuai could overthrow & kill the Grandmaster, and take over the clan and try to reform it

That probably wouldn't happen until they found out about the cyber initiative but the second they did the grandmaster was dead within like a week
