This is it. Time to trust the training. Time to buy in. Time to commit every available piece of myself to this sport again. No fucking excuses.
Limit distractions. Who gives a shit what that boy thinks of you? Screw him. Would you rather run fast than dwell on how and why things between you ended? Of course you would. So, go fucking do it. Move the fuck on.
You get four, maybe five, years to accomplish your goals and chase your dreams in college athletics. That’s it; it’s over in the blink of an eye. Partying can wait. Late nights at the bar with friends can wait. Yes, it’s okay to let loose once in awhile. But stay committed. Stay focused. Remind yourself of the end goal.
It sure as hell won’t be easy. It’s going to be really fucking hard. It’s going to be exhausting. There will be days where you aren’t motivated. There will be days where you’re so tired and sore that you don’t want to move from bed. But you have to. And you will. Because this sport is your heart and soul. It epitomizes who you are. It has challenged you. It has changed you. It has broken you and shattered you into a million pieces on multiple occasions. But it has also made you whole. It has given you life. It has built you. And, no matter what, it will always be there. It will always be worth it.

i dont usually quote paris hilton, but she did once say, “If somebody ever asks you to do something, do it really bad so you never have to do it again” and this advice has never failed me
