You know what cuts paper? Scissors.

You know who often manifests as scissors? Hate.

I think that after RGB outsmarted Hate and gave himself infinite chances, Hate tried to completely eradicate him by cutting down the center of his film.

This certainly damaged him, but not in the way Hate expected.

Instead, RGB was split into two seperate but interlinked parts, RGB and Negative.
