doing some tests with gifski vs ffmpeg gif rendering.....i started using gifski to try and keep some colour information (though i havent been seeing a huge difference on that end) and i'm conflicted still in how it treats backgrounds + transitions btwn colours. can't tell if my gifs look "less sharp" or im imagining that too.

runs a million times faster now...havent had any prerendering issues....they've added another sharpen feature which ive been playing around with. woof....very good

looks like in terms of file size they're about the same size (5.69mb vs. 5.87mb) which is good to see! i assumed maybe kdenlive would enlarge the file size drastically but i think ffmpeg compensates in terms of compression.......

i think maybe there's some more adjustments in terms of editing i could make (maybe repetitive frames...) but great to know!

im trying to adjust this style a little bit to look like old 90s-early 2000s anime.....i think the newer piece looks way sharper and nicer. the bloom is definitely much more perfected. but i've forgotten a lot of those elements on the newer piece. should've added a stronger blur and noise filtering. i noticed the gr file in post also has a vignette filter which i assume gives the lines that off purple effect
