Why does every fandom have that ONE female character.

Sweetie pie, loveable in canon.

Is a complex character with lots of flaws, but lots of good attributes too.

Yet somehow, is either:

1- HEAVILY mischaracterized

2- Hated restlessly

3- Always pushed aside

And there is also another character (mostly male), just like her.

And they always get treated right.

To add to this, Berdly didn't know anything about DDLC before playing it and genuinely found it by happenstance on the steam store page, and desperately tried to reload saves and stuff, actually being gullible and freaking out that the game actually has a sentience factor in it That would be momentary, though, because he'd eventually realize that it wasn't the case, and after the main shocking parts, he'd probably do an extra playthrough and get really invested in each character to the point that he'd be able to rat your head off about each of them and even though he has horrible concepts about real world people and does in fact mischaracterize, I want to believe that he would know about each character and get mad when anyone refers to them strictly as their archetype. He hears people call Yuri or Monika 'yanderes' and immediately starts to argue the contrary, nerd emoji out and everything, and he would be right does this change the fact that he like, misdiagnoses other people in real life as being 'tsunderes' and 'yanderes'? No, but I think he'd contradict his real-life emotional understanding capabilities with the things he's passionate about he watches character analysis videos and tries doing it himself but he's pretty poor at it Kris played DDLC either after berdly + noelle told them about it, or just on their own their reaction? they'd say it was good [this is before soul possession btw] like, I think that Noelle would fully be pulling out an old camcorder to judge Kris's reaction and they'd just be doing thumbs up looking back at the camera everytime there's a part of the game that's horror-based, or shocking in a way after the possession, they probably would feel a lot worse when playing DDLC
