Why is the Epic fandom so insistent on believing Odysseus hated Eurylochus? Even after the betrayal, he loved him. That's the beautiful tragedy that makes them. Odysseus and him were both desperate to get home, but they were starving and halfway to insanity by the time of mutiny. Odysseus handled a little better (and I use that term very loosely), but he still grieved him. Even though he'd choose his wife over everything, that doesn't negate the grief he had in letting his brothers down. He'll carry his ghost with him for the rest of his life.
