RWBY VOL9.
This is a weird one. Maybe it’s because it’s been so long since the last time we got a season, but it feels off. Like I’m excited to know where the characters are, but does anyone else just feel..like something is WRONG about volume 9? Even though it’s not out yet?
Might just be me dealing with some stuff, but I want your opinions on how you’re all feeling. Sorry for all the inactivity. Life is insane.
See you all at RTX!💙

RWBY VOL8EP12 SPOILERS
I WAS RIGHT
I called that Penny would turn into a real girl. I called them using emerald’s semblance against ironwood. I called them dealing with the people in the Crater. I called that Robin & Qrow met Winter in the elevator. I KNEW it would work out.
I was wrong....
Unfortunately, Jaques is still alive...but hey, at least Winter didn’t want it this way. I guess he does need to serve his time and be punished for his actions, tho I would argue death a viable one at the point. I was wrong that Winter & Weiss would clash. And I was wrong that Winter would kill James. At least, not yet, if ever.
James
He got Blindsided. It was an amazing trick by the gang. And I’d like to see how they set it all up. He got STOMPED. But he also put up a pretty good fight given the circumstances. I don’t think the jail is going to hold him. He’s tough. We saw what happened against Watts. Although it was only his arm and it took everything out of him. He needed serious medical help afterwards. I don’t think he’ll let any of that stop him.
The Staff
I wasn’t expecting a spirit. I’m not really sure WHAT I was expecting. But it’s definitely safe to say that the spirit is a HIMBO. He’s taller than Jinn. I’m not into that either but DAMN he got a good shape. It’s strange. I had to think over the wishes to fully understand how Penny got to be human permanently, but I got it. I’m surprised the staff doesn’t have a cool down, or some limit. Also, it seems the spirits inside the artifacts don’t comprehend time as the outside does. The spirit seemed to think quite a lot of time had passed, as he seemed surprised to see the girls again. I wonder if Jinn works the same way? But then why wasn’t she surprised to see Ruby again? Oh well. It all worked out...for now...
Cinder
So I can’t even guess what Cinder is up to? Obviously, she wants to surprise them. But it’s not like her style. She hasn’t been stealthy for some time. She hasn’t been quiet in some time. It’s like SHES got something to prove. She wouldn’t be one to just take the relics and run. She wants to fight. Unless Neo or Watts are the masterminds behind this one, I’m confused. I guess the better question is, does Cinder even need the maiden power since the artifact has been removed? Does Salem need the powers for a purpose? Or are they just to secure the vaults? Maybe both. We’ll see.
The Warning
“Don’t FALL”. What does it mean? It’s vague and ominous. I have a theory that maybe if the powers are STOLEN and not transferred that the vaults don’t actually materialize? I have no idea how that would work, but it would explain why Salem couldn’t find the vault under Beacon? And it would cause an issue for the people they’re rescuing...more importantly, I want to know what the giant orb was when the doorways opened...how does it work? What is it for? Where is it? Does Salem know about that place/object?
Penny
It’s adorable to see Penny as a person now...but I have a question? How can she defend herself? She’s a new maiden. Not like Raven or Cinder. She doesn’t know how to materialize weapons or control her powers well, if at all. Not being a robot means her swords are gone, she can’t detect danger, she can’t fly, or not in the same way. She can’t detect danger. Combat wise, she’s at a substantial disadvantage. I have a feeling that Cinder might use that to her advantage.
Communications Down
Was this Watt’s doing? Or maybe Atlas being in the sky was acting as some sort of pseudo-tower, allowing local kingdom wide communication? I doubt it was Watts. With the equipment he has, no resources, no access, and no idea of THIS plan, he couldn’t have acted that fast. Could he?
Help
I still think Help is on the way. Possibly Raven. I still have my hopes up for a redemption arc, but I doubt it. Maybe Tai will show up and make some small plot point helping up locate summer? I’m not sure. I have a feeling that all the parents will be showing up to this one.
Wrap up
I’ll be posting a sort of “final theories” post, just to give me thoughts before the finale. It should be the last post for a while, while I work on my volume 8 meme video and think about the show. I really liked this episode. It was mostly wholesome. One think I’ll remind everyone, the last things we see in the opening are the Apathy arms, the phrase “happy never again”, and fallen weapons. Namely, Ruby’s Scythe. This could just be a choice of aesthetics, as cresent Rose is Iconic. But we do see everyone’s weapon at some point. And just a reminder, Monty wrote 10 seasons of story. So either we have 2 season left to wrap up the show...or Miles & Keri (and the others) made some changes/additions/stretched out the show. We’ll see.

JUST AN FYI
I haven’t watched the new episode yet, but I’ve been informed this isn’t the finale? So expect my theories tomorrow. I don’t expect much will change, but if they do, you’ll hear about it

RWBY EP 12 THEORY
So last night, I had a strange thought. Unless James has a mechanical mind, he’s susceptible to Emerald’s semblance. They might have Penny open the vault, but use Emerald to convince him that Penny is taking the staff, when it’s Ruby! It would still have issues, like obviously they can’t use the staff until they figure out the people of Mantle, and Penny still has the virus, Emerald’s semblance needs focus...not to mention the villains won’t pass up that chance to attack.
I bring this up because what if THAT is what Ruby is planning? At first I couldn’t understand it, but that’s because I forgot Emerald is on their side now. And I have a feeling that she and Cinder are going to fight...Cinder won’t care, but Emerald will be crying...

RWBY Vol 8 Ep11 Spoilers
Okay, so I didn’t find that there was very much to talk about last episode. This one was kinda...eh? I had my S/O and friend watch it. They were screaming the whole way. I think this episode is very much an insight into the finale, rather than an episode based on action and plans. So let’s get thinking!
The Vault.
I’m not sure if I talked about it, but I did have a theory that Ruby could grab the staff and turn Penny into a Real Girl to terminate the virus. Which I think would be fitting because she’s similar to Pinocchio. But...somehow I don’t think they’ll give up all of Mantle’s citizens for it. So I’m curious what Ruby could be planning? In any case, I have a feeling that this will be the main focus of it all
Renora
I feel so conflicted. I understand what happened, and I agree that the outcome was positive, but I just...don’t like it. Ultimately, I think this won’t go anywhere, but I also believed that either or both of these two would be committing suicide by the end of the volume...so? I’m not really sure. If things DO work out and we see these two live, maybe it’ll be relevant by volume 10? I’ll be keeping my eyes out
The Ace Ops
Christ...I agree with our little Faunus Friend. I think he’s finally starting to see how things really are. I have to say that winter really saved his ass there. But more on that later. It seems like there’s conflict between them...I see a civil war coming. More importantly, I think that RWBY/JNR’s words from volume 7/8 about being a team and friends and doing what’s right is finally taking hold...at least in some of them. Harriet...what is her deal? She’s just so angry and infuriating. Is she that desperate to keep her position? Or maybe she’s just a bitch.
Winter/Qrow/Robin
I have a feeling these three bumped into each other at the elevator scene. I have a feeling that Winter will be helping them...but it’s not a promised thing. Her loyalties still very much lie with the military...for some reason. Which reminds me, Robin was right. Qrow is angry. He has been...her whole speech is right. And I think maybe we’ll find another love interest. I mean...they ARE both named after birds. But we know how that dance goes.
Penny
I’m going to be blunt. I still think Penny will die. I don’t WANT her to, but I think she will. More importantly...I’m shocked about what she said. She’s RIGHT. But I never thought it would cross her mind. In any case, I think that will ultimately be what needs to get done. I think they should have secured the maiden powers. And why haven’t they tried to call her father? Surely they think he can fix it? Explaining it to Ironwood might actually be a good thing here as well. It means his ultimatum would be worthless. Maybe even get support...but man...Penny is in for a rough one.
Ironwood
It’s no secret that I VERY MUCH hate Ironwood. I always have. He’s had his moments like anyone else, but ever since we’ve seen him, I never liked him. He always seemed like the rough general who would throw away countless lives to prove a point...funny, isn’t it? He’s gawdy, he’s idiotic, he’s stubborn, and paranoid. Not to mention insane, dropping a nuke on Mantle. I hope he ends up dead by the end of the season or we might just see an...alliance between Ironwood and Salem...but nothing is concrete there.
Cinder
I know I’m late to this party, but I have to admit....she couldn’t do it. She had Watts by the neck, and he just gave her nothing short of the truth. Now look...I think she needed to hear it, as a person. As a villain...well I think it dealt a blow to her Ego. As powerful as she is, she’s still so very insecure. And that’s still her weakness. She’s human. She’s angry. And she betrayed Salem again. In this case, it was probably for the best (considering the whale exploded). But I can’t imagine Salem will be happy unless they gain the artifact or the maiden powers, or both.
NEO!
So my S/O has this thought that maybe...Neo will be the new maiden. I asked specifically if she would be a maiden like Penny, using her powers for what’s right, like Raven, where she runs off to do her own thing, or like Cinder, where she fights for her own causes and those above her. To which I received a basic “to be figured out” reply. And I have to say..a maiden with an artifact? Color me scared. I like this theory, as much as I don’t support it. But I didn’t expect Neo to make it this far. I WILL SAY! I called the betrayal. At least in part. She stole the lamp. Neo will either rise to power and replace Cinder, or die here. She’s in way over her head. She needs to catch up to snuff with the rest of the gang or be cut out of the picture.
Overall conclusions
I said that I think this episode is an insight into the finale, and here’s why. Robin and Qrow escaped. Half the Ace Op team disagree with James, Penny is heading to the vault, and what remains of the bad guys are banded together. I have a feeling that a certain black-haired mother will make another appearance, maybe even sacrifice. But you guys already know my thoughts on that stuff. Maybe even Tai, but that’s unlikely. I think help will be on the way, but not to any meaningful success. I think it’ll all fail anyway. With all of these facts in mind...you can’t tell me the finale won’t be big. Blood will be spilled. A lot of blood. Maybe more than Beacon...we’ll have to find out next week...

RWBY VOL8 EP9 SPOILERS BELOW!
There’s so much to talk about. As I usually do, I’ll break it down into sections.
Yang & Salem Interaction
It’s really really sweet to see her still refer to Summer as her mom. Anyone could be a mother, but not everyone could be a mom. If you ask me, it’s adorable. But on that same note, her speech and subsequent interaction with Salem was...concerning. She said everything she lost was Salem’s fault. I agree, she had a tough time. Her arm is gone, her mother is dead/missing, and her life as a huntress is kinda gone. What’s concerning was how Salem responded. She seems to know Summer Rose by name. For a being who has lived for as long as Salem, I can’t imagine that she knows them all by name, even if they are recent. I think there’s a reason. She must be special. I don’t know how or why...but she must be.
Summer is Alive Theory
I just want to note, this isn’t my theory. I’m being told this is a theory circulating around in Twitter. If Summer is alive...where is she likely being held?...AND WHAT IS WINTER CURRENTLY PLANNING TO DO?! WHAT THE HELL WINTER. That’s really all I’ve got for this one. Not long, but worth pointing out.
Traitors
Well, we have traitors/defectors. Hazel and Emerald. I knew that Emerald would. If you want to know why, go check out my post about predictions for the volume based on Episode 1 & the opening. But HAZEL?! I never would’ve guessed, even with the episodes up to now. Is Cinder even still with Salem? I know they haven’t interacted in a bit, but she’s going against Salem’s wishes...if her past is anything to go on, not listening to directions only gets her in trouble. And NEO. What the HELL is Neo, THE MUTE, gonna do with the lamp? And more importantly, if she CAN talk and just hasnt this far, what would she even ask?
Hazel Theory
This is just a quick one I’ve been thinking about. Ozcar and Hazel share pretty similar outfits and color schemes. Not to mention eyes. Gretchen was Hazel’s sister. And Ozcar lives with his Aunt...is it possible they’re actually related!? If Oz took interest in any way to Gretchen, I’m sure she either had or directly linked to Silver eyes. Which just adds to the mess. I’d like to think they are, and that’s what bonds them, not just Ozma.
Semblances & JRY
Now that we have directly seen confirmation that seblmances can evolve, I think we need to have a serious talk about it. It’s more than just combining them like Jaune and Ren do. Ren can sense emotion. He can SEE it. He can understand and locate it. We got hints earlier than Harriet believed there’s more to Ruby’s semblance than just speed. Obviously we know there’s more to it than going FAST, as Penny pointed out. But I think Ruby might get an evolution by the end of the season. But what’s to stop there? What about Yang? Harnessing her sadness and misery, much like her anger. And Blake? Who KNOWS. Jaune? What if his aura could be projected to act like a giant shield? Like a physical one. The possibilities!!
Ozcar...
I hate and love Ozcar’s character. He’s strong but whiney. He’s relatable and yet also so foreign from us. He wants to be free from Ozma, but he wants to make a difference in this war now. He’s still scared, but I think he’s learning that he will give up his own identity to protect those around him. And honestly, I don’t know what he’s planning against Salem, considering he couldn’t even stop Cinder as a brand new maiden at a much better advantage...but all I can come up with is to slow down time for Salem and allow everyone to escape.
Other notes of Interest
Just how STRONG are Yang and Hazel? Like Yang really made a DENT in Salem, which is a feat for fighting an immortal being. AND Hazel? He didn’t just make a DENT, he literally slapped her across the whale and the. Beat the actual goop out of her body. This man is INSANE. I’m sure I’ll come up with more things to talk about but for now, that’s all I can think of! If I missed soemthing you’d like me to cover, comment and I’ll see what I can do!!

RWBY VOL8 EP8 SPOILERS
As I usually do, I’m gonna tackle it in sections. As above, this is a spoiler. Normally, I’d wait but last night’s episode was SO MUCH.
The Grimm
So we’ve been wondering what that talking Grimm even is? Just a new breed? Or something MORE? Now we know. When we first got that glimpse, it kinda reminded me of Adam, which I confirmed it wasn’t because of the ending art credit. Also, I think it’s strange that it could somewhat resist the silver eyes. Obviously, we know why, but still strange. Salem and the Dragon couldn’t even do that. It’s reasonable to assume there’s more than just one of them. With how long this war has been going, it would be unreasonable if she DIDNT. She had plenty of time to experiment. Also, are the Grimm evolving? Or is it just that there are many variants Salem hid until now? The giant Seer Grimm, the acid digger? How many more are we going to see?
Penny
I’m SCREAMING. Nora was right. Penny is partially a machine, but not entirely. It’s just a part of who she is. If they found some way to sever her connection with the swords, maybe that would help? It’s likely that all the swords “talk” together to bend to penny’s instructions. Get rid of them all, and they can’t do that? Just a thought. I have a theory I’ll address at the end.
The Schnees
I’m proud of Whitely and Willow. They not only did their part, but are actually working together. Willow? It’s complicated. I’m proud of her overcoming her alcoholism (in part), but she was a coward. She ran away from what she couldnt understand and tried to drown her fears again. Ultimately, she didn’t. And now we know that she knows how to summon. We had an idea that one Mr. Jaque Schnee didn’t. It would stand to reason that Willow did, but to be in such a condition and still create one? Hell yes I’m happy. Between Whitely, Willow, and Weiss, maybe the Schnees can make a difference for the better...assuming they can get out of this mess...
Jail Birds & Co.
Qrow made a comment that was “that doesn’t sound like...GET DOWN”. That was followed by an image of a black bird. I got (unreasonably) happy. I thought that Raven had come to rescue her brother and maybe make amends. But Raven doesn’t care. Her place is with her tribe, so I’m not surprised it wasn’t. But if that’s the case....was it Qrow? Did Salem kill them all? Or let them flee? If they fled, where is Jaque? He doesn’t have any more connections or influence? Qrow can fly and Robin can make due. If Jaque is alive and escapes Atlas, I hope the Schnee family makes up and changes. We’ll see about Winter.
Theory Time!
I have two theories. The first one is about Penny! When she was not in control, she said she must open the vault and then self-terminate. What if they got her to open the vault, and then Ruby used her semblance to grab the staff first. With the people of Mantle Evacuated to safety, Ruby used the staff to turn Penny into a real girl. People often compare Penny to Pinocchio, so it would be fitting. This means that there wouldn’t be any way to control her. Atlas would fall, and that’s only acceptable because of Whitely. Maybe it would even Hurt the whale that’s currently just sitting on Atlas.
Theory two is something a bit less thought through. Where is summer? As far as we know? Dead. But apparently so was that man who was turned into a Grimm. I wonder if Salem has tried to turn the power of the Silver eyes against the world? If that was the case, would the power of the eyes even be effective against the Silver Eyed Grimm?? I’d still like to believe about my “Salem is actually just a bunch of goop surrounding Summer to use as a sacrifice” theory, but there’s really no proof that it would be the case.
Also, on a strange note, when the Grimm said it was here to take the girl and was holding Ruby, I assumed that Salem had ordered it to take Ruby to Salem to destroy her eyes. Which would be a problem. And I believe that by the end of the volume, we might just be down an eye or two...if there’s anything left to see, that is.

Catch up time!
It’s no secret I’ve been gone a long time. But I was able to catch up on RWBY (for now at least!) and reflect on it. And with that, this post will be solely reflecting on my theories and the part of Volume 8 that’s out.
Nora’s End. I was wrong. She did get shocked and even if she makes a recovery, I doubt that lines and marks are gonna fade away so easily. Although who’s to say she’s going to make a recovery? That’s still up in the air :) (external screaming)
Salem’s Goal. I’ve said it several times, I doubt Salem just craved world domination. It was brought up this season by Ozcar? Still not quite sure who it was that did it. Even then, it’s mere speculation. She wants more. World domination doesn’t make sense for her. She wants an end? Maybe. Maybe the picture is even bigger. Wise players always plan 3 steps ahead. Perhaps she’ll try to steal the power of the gods and become one herself?
Betrayal. Mercury is still on board, no surprise there if you read my post about the opening. Emerald tho...I’m having severe doubts. She still might defect, in the hopes of aiding cinder. Much like how the Huntsman tried to said her, and ended up meeting their demise. And THE BIG LAD. He knows the key phrase. What’s he gonna do? He has a choice to make.
Neo? I’m not really sure what to make of it. She’s going along with things right now, but maybe it’s out of fear, or maybe confusion. I still have hopes that she’ll try to snatch thing up for her own good. I don’t think Ruby is her true goal afterall. A sleeper agent of sorts?
In general, the relationships have been falling apart, with the rare exception of the Schnees. Whitely and Weiss seem to be getting along just fine, even if Whitely insists on keeping up his snooty attitude. Who’da thought that all it took was the end of the world? :D
That’s all I can recall off the top of my head. If I missed anything you’d like to me to reflect on from my theory posts, let me know and I’ll do it! Be safe and have a wonderful day to all of you!

Rules for Asks
I know this blog doesn’t actually get much interaction, but since it was brought up once, I thought I would just make a list for asks of what is okay and what isn’t.
SFW Asks
Basically anything. Almost any characters or skits in open to reading and replying to. Seeing as this pertains to SFW portion, it’s obvious what the content in the message should contain.
NSFW Asks
Once again, basically anything. The only thing I won’t do surround human waste & Dismemberment. Of course, this is immediately. The list can always be updated to accommodate things or eliminate things.
Now that that out of the way, ask till your heart’s content!

Note
i dont see rules like what okay to ask in the nsfw qustion and what chahcther is all chahcter or jusr some sorry for learing disbtiyls
All characters are welcomed!! As for the NSFW, nothing too extreme. To be specific, no dismemberment, no scat/water sports. Other than that, you should be fine! If something comes up, I’ll be sure to add it to the list and pin that to the top of the blog!! Feel free to ask as you see fit with that in mind. Other than that, you’re good!!

RWBY CRACKPOT THEORY TIME! (SPOILERS?)
So this post will be a rather long one because of all the theories and the level of detail I want to go into. So buckle up kids!! It’s starting time!
Theory 1: TEAM JN_R is gonna die. So let me start with the most likely death: Nora! Why? Well we saw in a trailer that she used herself to conduct electricity through Amity, and she’s CLEARLY in pain. In the opening of the show, we see Penny’s fathers working on Amity (presumably) and it flashes Watts on the other side of the glass. So it’s likely they’ll try to recruit him and he’ll play along. He’s still a villain. It would be the perfect opportunity to take out someone. It would deal a moral and actual blow to the group. Now, Ren’s death relies on Nora. Call it cliche, but I think if Nora dies, he’ll take his own life. He still carries the dagger, it’s clear they have feeling for eachother and they’ve been together for a long time. So that’s where it comes from. Jaune will probably meet his end the same way Pyrrha did. Not necessarily by Cinder’s hand. But all the same. And if my theory of Pyrrha being sent to the same realm that Ozma was when he met the God of light, then the two lovers can rest eternally at last. You’ll learn that a bunch of my theories rely on this main theory.
Theory 2: Salem will obtain the maiden powers through more...malicious means. I’m not sure if it was confirmed or not, but if Salem is able to corrupt people as she was, she can offer to ressurect Nora (following theory 1) in return. Of course, if this wasn’t the case, perhaps she could offer to ressurect Pyrrha. Or even....Summer Rose.
Theory 3: Neo is going to die. See, we know that Salem controls the Grimm. Neo is seeking revenge against RWBY for Roman’s death. What if..AND HEAR ME OUT...she knows Ruby wasn’t at fault. She pretends to hate Ruby to get close to Cinder, by extent, Salem. She’ll try to take her revenge, but between Salem, cinder, and everyone else on board? She won’t even make it in touching distance. A futile attempt, but one she risked her life for.
Theory 4: Neo’s evolved semblance. It was hinted that Semblances can actually evolve to some degree, back in volume 7. This theory comes from my partner!! What if she has the ability to project illusions, similar to Emeralds, but it’s not a mental task. And I spun it off into a sad bit where I said she uses that semblance to project a clone of Roman and sleep next to him crying herself to sleep. ;-; ITS SO SAD AND IM SORRY.
Theory 5: RWBY Corruption. Similar to the theory of using dead people as bargaining chips, this one is more..just to torture them. Salem would corrupt the corpse of Adam and make it undying, sending it after Blake/Yang. They would be facing a foe that can’t stay down from thier past. Adam has caused so much damage (mental and physical) to the pair. It would probably continue to scar them seeing his corpse try to fight them mindlessly. Salem offers to put the man to rest for good by taking one of Team RWBY. After the trade is done, she corrupts the girl to replace Adam.
Theory 6: Sad Summer Times. Somehow, Team RWBY/JNR make thier way into the whale ship. Somehow, Salem is about to fall and perish. As Ruby swings her sythe to strike her down, the black goop from the Grimm pools slides off, revealing a still alive Summer Rose. By the time Ruby sees this, she can’t stop. A head goes rolling on the floor. The goop reassembles itself into Salem. She used a Vessel to sacrifice in the event she was in Danger. (You can think of this one as a substitution Jutsu from NARUTO, but with an actual sacrifice to use).
Theory 7: Salem is trying to start over. She’s suffered so much, she’s already cost thousands of people thier lives when she was human. What if she’s trying to gather the relics to create a new, better world where she and Ozma and live happily without fear of death or age?
Theory 8: Salem’s goal is bigger than any of us can imagine. She already has magic. She’s growing stronger, she’s taken down most of the Kingdoms. There’s nothing to stop her. What does killing the Gods possibly get her? She can already rule over the world as she is. There has to be an even bigger picture
Theory 9: Emerald will defect from Salem’s troops. She came with Cinder because she thought she cared. She’s being neglected SO. HEAVILY. She must hate it. If you look back to the opening, we see a hall of villains that lead up to Salem. If you noticed, Emerald wasn’t there. But MERCURY WAS. It seems odd to only show off one of the low-level henchmen?
Theory 10: Winter will kill James Ironwood. The man...he’s become Salem but for the good guys(? Is he even still?). It was clear NONE of the ace Ops openly approved of the murder James committed. Winter is recovering. The military has been Winter’s entire life, running away from her family problems instead. If James threatens her military career, she probably wouldn’t hesitate to strike. Even if Winter doesn’t murder James, we know she wouldn’t hesitate to Usurp his position. We know that Winter and Weiss will clash this season from the opening.
Theory 11: Ozma will die for good. Or at least by separated from Ozcar. This one doesn’t really have a reason behind it other than the fact that Ozma keeps getting weaker and we saw Salem looming over Ozcar in the opening. I think this would be a great opportunity to allow Ozcar to better expand his own legacy, not the shadow of Oz’s. He would take up Oz’s legacy, but forge his own path the right way. His way. One more theory to go!!
Theory 12: We are reaching the Natural end of RWBY. At least the first generation. As far as I recall, Monty was able to write up about 10 volumes worth of lore and plot. We are going into volume 8. No one said the entire thing is about the VICTORY of Team RWBY. rather, it’s a story about the world of Remnant in its most interesting days. What if the story (from our perspective) is actually about the victory of Salem, accomplishing her goals and seeing the world struggle to fight against her in their final days? Strange theory, but I have such a weird draw to this one. I genuinely feel like Team RWBY won’t succeed in thier goal to stop Salem. I don’t want to see them suffer, but I can’t see them winning. Not unless some magical miracle happens. Which I’m not saying CANT happen....just that I don’t believe it will.
Theory 13: Raven saves the day. I’ve been thinking about a character redemption for Raven since her run away in Volume 5. It would be perfect. She agreed to turn herself over to Salem in exchange for leaving Atlas. I don’t think Salem would agree to it, or even honor the agreement if she did, but it would be amazing if Raven showed up to try and make amends.
I know this was a VERY long one, but I really needed to just let out a giant theory blast. Even if none of these make sense, I like them. Or at the very least, I think they make interesting story bits to share or think about “what if X happened”. Thanks for reading!

Calculating Weiss’s height
Using proportions and official data
Now, unless Weiss has grown taller since she was 17 (which I find highly unlikely, especially in her case…), her official height is 5′3″, or 63 inches (making her particularly susceptible to genderbending).
That is, in heels.
But without any footwear? This is vital information, especially if you are a Whiterose fan!
Let’s find out her actual height using a render from a portion of her official turnaround, graciously bestowed years ago by the CRWBY upon the FNDM.
722 pixels.
Now let’s cut those heels off…
670 pixels.
We can now set up the following proportion…
63 : 722 = ✖ : 670
…and finally do the math:
✖ = 63 ⋅ 670 / 722 ≈ 58 inches = 4′10″
So, unless our current 5′4″ Ruby (source: V7C6 credits) is wearing 5-6″ boots.
Ruby is officially taller than Weiss.

RWBY Volume 8 Ep1
First of all, sorry I’m late making this. Life got hectic in no small part for family reasons. Anyway, onward with the discussion!!
First of all, PENNY. MY DEAR. MY FUCKING PRECIOUS GIRL. She’s experiencing depression so hard right now and she just needs a hug. I don’t think she’s wrong...I think the best chance anyone has is to hand over the powers. At least a short term solution.
Next, we have GENERAL JAMES FUCKING IRONWOOD. I knew the man was determined, and yea yea the whole “tin man no heart” thing, but even I didn’t think he was cold enough to openly MURK someone in front of witnesses. He feels like...the opposite of Salem? He’s willing to do anything to achieve his goal, but the difference is it’s to protect, rather than destroy. I hope that made sense?
On a small note...winter!! :D I’m glad to see she’s doing well. This season, I have a feeling that Winter and her sister will be clashing more than working together. Maybe winter even takes over the military...who knows?
Oz-Car! I’m glad to see he’s alive and well. We knew he would be, but it’s like nothing happened mostly. I’m a little upset he didn’t bring up Oz coming back, but at the same time, I agree with his actions. They needed to discuss what happened and where to go from here. I feel like even Oz has lost hope. We don’t know if Salem has ever been this victorious.
TEAM RWBY: oh boy. I hate this mess. I love the conflict and the character development, and I have a theory behind the current mess of Team RWBY, but that’s another day.
Ren/Nora: I...I think this is the one I’m most conflicted about, honestly. Again, I have another crackpot theory, but another post. I don’t feel like they’re conflicted as much as they are just...drifting apart. Ren is so firm about helping in there here and now, and Nora sees the bigger picture. It’s frustrating to see them split like this when they clearly have feelings and have made so much PROGRESS.
The baddies? Okay, this one is tricky. I’ll keep it to minimum. More about this team on the crackpot theory post. In general, I think Neo is WAAAAAAAAAAAY over her own head getting involved. And if you think about it, she’s on the wrong side of things. Salem is one who controls the Grimm. Just remember that and have a quick flashback to Roman’s death. I’m sad to see emerald being neglected like she was BEFORE cinder found her. Please let her defect!!! Mercury...I still love his character but hate his person. Ass.
I will cover the opening in the Crackpot theory post because I saw so much and I just wanna spit out like 1000 different futures. Even if they suck and not one of them is right, I find it fun to do. So expect that tomorrow I guess!! Toodles!!
