I used to do casual analysis posts about RWBY, now I mostly talk about how crap the fandom is whenever I remember this blog exists. AKA the guy who got the Genlock dude fired from his job.

fandoms: guuuyyysss, pls use anti tags when talking negativly about the characters🥺🥺🥺 fans don't need to see how much you hate their faves!! pls be respectful🥺🥺🥺
also fandom about it's most hated characters: u fucking suck. no one likes you. if someone does like you im gonna assume the worst of those people. ew gross i hate you. only abuse apologists/homophobes/fascists/etc. would like them. how can anyone like them?? thank god no one likes you otherwise your fans would be annoyed by having to deal with this negativity and with people accusing them of being awful people...but they dont because no one likes you. did i mention how much i hate this stupid character-
#if i have to read one more bad essay from a person who hasn't felt the sun on their face since 2012 about adam taurus#where they just blandly recite the same tired excuses for his bad writing and continue to act like enlightened dicks#or some dumb script fic of jaune being a harem master who gets all the bitches#i will detonate the charges

Please stop giving the weird Sun blogger attention just because he's illiterate, it's an attempt for validation because his blog has like a dozen+ posts with no likes and he only gets attention by pandering to the Anti RWDE crowd that's largely just made up of the photographic definition of "Peaked in high school."
Just block the loser and let him choke on his ego from behind it, stop giving him attention. If he wants it he can be like every other forgettable male RWBY fan and make an alt to stalk you with.

no but my friend once got contacted by the fbi because on twitter he jokingly said he was going to send kamala harris to the shadow realm and he got reported for it or something. the person working on his case realized that it was really stupid and started laughing at having to be explained everything but it scared my friend so bad
really dont think the fbi needs to involve themselves in matters like this tbh its a waste of state dollars and VP Harris is one of americas greatest duelists if any body can beat her in a duel and succesfully send her to the shadow realm then we stand no chance against them anyways

I don't think I could come up with a better way to point out the misogyny in the RWBY fandom when it comes to how minority critics (especially women) are treated by the fanbase than Judgemental Critter confronting a person who stalked her across Twitter and called her a cunt over twenty times in one year alone, and she's the one who gets downvoted over thirty times, all while her stalker (who has previously admitted to calling her a cunt and entirely hates her over some made up grudge and/or because he's a loathsome incel) gets upvoted to +15.
Oh but she said Ruby was bad for cutting Tyrian's tail off one time so I guess that makes it all justified in Reddit's eyes. :/

Oh, Viz bought them.
Not exactly known for their in-house animation so the theory that they resolve the story in a book or manga is still on the table- assuming they even decide to go that way and don't make RWBY into a spinoff machine while they get merch out of it. I can't think of a case in the past where Viz has directly commissioned a studio, let alone made one.
Hey, maybe compared to RT RWBY, the merch might be good for once.

Bringing this back in light of hearing about the Aliciaxdeath thingamabob where Bumblebee shippers got so heated at her for saying the ship was mid that she decided to drop the show entirely, which included heat from what I'd consider some of the more prolific posters about RWBY (Adamus and Citadel, stand up and get your flowers you loathsome dungheaps).
Funny how it's largely the women and minorities that criticize the show who get that heat though huh. I guess a bigoted company will make a bigoted fanbase.
RWBY fans will always act like the perception that they're violent bullies when faced with criticism is an exaggeration and that critics are far worse about being sexist, and then you'll check their Twitter accounts and find out that one of the most prolific debate bros on the RWBY subreddit whose entire thing is just yelling at people who criticise the show on there called a female critic of the show a cunt nearly twenty separate times in 2023, including a time he dragged the critic's sister into it.
Yeah you're never beating the allegations and deservedly so. The RWBY fandom has a chronic, undeniable history of men using the fandom's lax moral standards on responding to criticism as a way to bully minorities who criticise the show, saying the vilest stuff especially to LGBT and female critics who highlight issues with the series.

We really should mark it down as more of a thing that happened that the RWBY fandom saw a reactor who didn't like one canon ship (wasn't even shitting on it she just said she thought the dynamic didn't work) and bullied her so hard she had to private her reactions for a season and drop the show immediately to avoid them.
Like that's not mentally well behavior. You're not well-adjusted if you do that kind of thing and you are probably a hazard to someone in your day to day life.
Get help you fucking freaks- especially Adamus and Citadel.
I have never seen a fandom that gatekeeps as much as the rw/by fandom.
Yeah, they want more people to enjoy the show, BUT apparently that comes with terms and conditions. Because if you criticize anything and have a slightly unpopular opinion the entire fandom will send you to superhell. And GOD FORBID you point out a big flaw of a beloved character.
Basically they just want to have a extremely curated fandom experience with no room for criticism or healthy discussion were only the nice people can get into your stupid little fan club and that is.. So fucking sad. This is how you slowly kill a fandom.

If I block people, it's because they're spam bots, supremely not worth my time, or just give off that fundamental vibe of "Oh you're just kind of a cunt, aren't you."
It's really not that hard. If they now have to complain that their little harassment sessions are harder because they get blocked then maybe they should inspect their behavior instead of playing victim.
I know the show's dead and all so it's not like they have any new material to examine to distract from that introspection, but that's really not my problem that most of the Anti-RWDE crowd who hang around are just really fundamentally unlikable people who warrant being blocked.
Anti-rwde posters saying that since we block them, we're 'cowards' who 'just don't want to be called out' or whatever the fuck is really funny, because I've been in a lot of debates with a lot of anti-rwde people in the past and it usually goes one of three ways.
1. They come out swinging almost always on anon (cowardice right off the bat) with heavy handed insults while saying nothing I haven't heard before. We get in a debate, but they're ignoring the majority of the points I make and are refusing to answer anything I ask them, until I finally say something along the line of "answer my questions or I'm done with this conversation" or "stop just repeating yourself and address what I say or I'm done with this conversation" and they CAN'T, so I stop responding to them.
2. They come out swinging going on about how stupid we all are or how bigoted (with no proof) or something like that, I've then engaged, being like "Why do you think that? Do you have proof? Why are you so venomous?" And then they BACK DOWN and are like "Honestly I just don't like feeling bad for liking Rwby" or something along those lines.
3. They come out swinging with insults and unjustified accusations, but they actually do try to present an argument and 'prove' things and say we're stupid if we don't agree, and then I've engaged by addressing their points, explaining my side, etcetera, and then they're like "I'm not reading all that," or "Stop trying to change my mind" or something (usually when they came to me or rwde in general.)
Like, I block people for my own sanity because I've been sent tons of horrible anons including bigotry filled comments, right-wing propaganda, death and rape threats, and slurs. I used to be very choosy about who to block until I realized that it wouldn't stop the harassment, and now with almost two thousand people blocked, I only get attacked and sent hate like twice yearly! I can't recommend blocking people enough, because anti-rwde is as close to a cult without being a cult as Harry Potter and most of them are in way too deep to listen to me or have a rational discussion. But no, it's not because I'm afraid of having people disagree with me. I literally have disagreements with my own sister I literally live with, as well as plenty of my mutuals.
We're not against disagreeing or afraid of anti-rwde posters, I just think they're annoying because they don't actually debate, lol.

You can tell school's out because the children are whining again about RWBY being criticized and expect people to take their Sephiroth rants seriously. I imagine at this point they're not gonna shut up until Kerry finally admits no one wants to buy the show (which anyone could probably tell you given he's been looking for eighteen months).
I'd really like him to at this point just so that these media illiterate kids can finally fuck off and watch another show.

Whoever wrote this is not mentally well and I say that completely seriously. This is someone who absolutely has a pre-existing rap sheet.
Now imagine how much more seething they would have if they're told how much better it'd be if Pyrrha lived, not just from a narrative standpoint, but from the standpoint of "GRRRL POWER YEAH!"

I want RWBY to be good. I want it to be popular again. I want it to have soul and style and color and vibrancy and badassery.
But in order for it to have those things, it has to be out of the hands of Miles and Kerry.

It's the perpetual problem of that these shows have fanbase who are either:
Teenagers who got into it and made their life revolve around it to compensate for lacking a personality (both Hazbin and RWBY have this).
Fandom tourists who only pretend to like it so they can get into internet arguments about it (more a RWBY thing with people like Fairen who's a blatant troll).
Thirty-something year old unemployed slackers who have made their entire life about a cartoon to substitute for having a life and will now make that everyone else's problem (more a RWBY thing due to time but give Hazbin a few years and we'll be here as well).
There needs to be a study about fandoms who are quickly to defend flawed media, and they will do it at ALL costs. Shows like RWBY and Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss that have very clear flaws and yet fans get VERY personally offended when someone criticizes them. I mean any media has hardcore fans that will defend it with their lives but there are some special cases that stand out from the rest.
