As far as Dan was concerned, he'd shown them the lava crystals existence so it was up to them if they wanted more and how they might use them, so he certainly wasn't going to try suggesting that Amy give any of them up.

"Yeah, I can imagine, well if it becomes the case, he can ask either you or me now about getting some." A part of him thinking it might be an idea to potentially mingle or hang out with some of the other team members if not the islanders themselves sometime but he wouldn't push it. "Either way, you've got yours and I'm glad I could show em."

Heading back sounded like a decent idea at this point if they were done with collecting though Amy's suggestion brought another idea to mind. "I'll do you one better, how about some Ice Cream?" Glancing between the duo to see what they thought.

"Or maybe I'm just thinking of something like a milkshake, I dunno why, just came to mind."

"because that's just like him. to turn something pretty into another one of his experiments," amy replied without missing a beat. and the way she had held her crystal a little closer to her chest said she wasn't about to give hers up. fair enough, sonic couldn't imagine that going well.

the speedster just shrugged. he didn't see it becoming that big of an issue. ❝ eh, if he wants one that bad he can have the little one. or we can come back out here. he does like fieldwork, and it does him good to get out of his workshop sometimes. ❞

to that amy nodded in agreement, then looked to where she had come from before shaking her head at dan's question. "nothing. i'm sure there are more around here but this chunk's a good start for me. i don't know about you boys but being down here is making me thirsty. how about we head back?"

she had what she wanted, of course she wanted to get out of the volcano.

"Yet here you are offering me help, so, thanks for not letting your nerves get the better of you." As he'd try to make light of the conversation before hearing that other part.

Chaos Temple disciples? Naturally the demon-hog immediately began to question who they could be and why they'd be something to avoid. "I have no idea who they are, but I'll keep it in mind." Deciding to leave it short rather than directly ask, maybe it'll pry the answers out subtlety.

Though it seems a part of it came to light naturally with the mention of the other zones, were the people here really so closed off? Or did they just prefer to stick to themselves? Either way it would prompt Dan to speak a little more about it given his fondness of travelling.

"Ahh, well your free to think of it as you wish, but there's plenty to see out there other than the sands if you have the means of travel. Some of it amazing, some of it, not so much as with most things.....you only need to learn and decide for yourself if its worth it."

"I guess you're right- honestly, I'd be a bit nervous of you myself, but..." Strawbeet shrugged. "...I dunno." They'd already had a few times where 'don't judge a book by its cover' had nearly been their downfall- and they knew of at least one pretty face that was not to be trusted, no matter the circumstance. "So long as you don't get near any Chaos Temple disciples, I'm sure you'll be fine."

Given the look of that arm...it wouldn't surprise Strawbeet if they took the route of 'spell first, questions later'. They shook their head. The Chaos Temple didn't visit Sanden all that often- it was one of the reasons the city served as a decent base for him and his team.

Their head tilted, eyebrows slowly shifting upwards.

"...other zones?" They'd heard about the legends of other worlds, yes- but those had been empty words and idle myths, not...fact. "...other realms exist?" Their question was met with the two arriving on the Penumbra level, their footsteps ringing out a little louder, down here at the edge of light and dark. "Sorry, I just...find it hard to believe. Usually, only zealots of the Chaos Temple claim those exist- and even then, they're...well. They're from the temple, so most either don't believe them, or are fanatical about it."

Why did it have to be him of all people being tasked with such a thing? Didn't they know he was bad at this? Literally anyone would be better at trying to keep someone busy for awhile. "No! It can't wait. I'm sure your presentation will be great, but....you can't go."

'Cmon, you idiot, think!'

"Its been so long since we last met!" Quickly stepping to the side of where Flask was and gently scooping up one of her hands into his own, both as an attempt to distract her from focusing on packing and makeup whilst also trying to appear sincere over it.

"You have several hours until its even remotely time to set it up, you can wait at least a little while. We can catch up or get a meal or something....."

"Dan, come on. I don't know what came over you, but I have to leave now. I have to speak at that assembly, I made a whole presentation." The albino gave the hedgehog a confused look, tossing stuff into her backpack. "Can't the issue wait until tomorrow?"

Flask glanced into a mirror, fixing up her unruly bangs to no avail. "You can even stay at the apartment, if you want. Though I don't have a spare key, since it's a rental..."

While it was a little difficult to not chuckle at the echidna's reaction as a whole, Dan would only shake his head when he heard about Sonic if he saw Knuckles right now. "I don't think you should get embarrassed over something like that, we all have our tastes. He's just as guilty when it comes to chilli-dogs, right?"

Grabbing a hold of the last few items, including an extra packet of those chewies just in case, he'd produce a few shadows to help hold onto the snacks in place of hands, all the while he'd continue to give his reasoning as he went over to the counter.

"I don't see any reason why not and if by some chance, they're not too good, well you tried em.....we can always try and get some actual grapes later."

"Oh, perfect! These look delicious!" Knuckles spotted bags of grape flavored chewies after Dan saw them. He was rather excited and almost wanted to take two bags of them.

"Good thing Sonic isn't here, I'd be pretty embarrassed if he saw me get this excited over candy of all things." He eyed around a little more to see if there was anything else he wanted. "I guess I'll get a bag of popcorn too. It's a staple movie snack after all. You think the grape chewies will be any good?"

"It's a deal then, I would have said date but y'know." If nothing else at least his cheesy sense of humour had gone nowhere, regardless if that was seen as a good or bad thing but Dan couldn't care less as he'd continue to chortle to oneself. "I'm sure there's something we have in common."

As they reached the hatch, the demon-hog looked across at the ground trying to see where those tracks led away too, it was easier said than done when nearly everything around here being already smeared and blended with the abundance of surrounding oils and ooze.

"Can't really make out where they've been going. its almost anyone's guess." Before glancing over at the hatch itself as he thought on the proposed idea, usually he'd just smash his way through such things if it was a suspected problem but then again, it was just concerns nothing confirmed yet.

What if it was just someone's workplace?

"I don't see why its not worth trying, if by some chance these are some locals or not people with a plan for trouble, might make it easy for us. If not. What's the worst that could happen? Lock us out? One good kick would probably break the thing."

{➹} – FAR BE IT for the hedgehog to be too serious when he was with a friend. Particularly one he knew could find amusement in even the oddest situations like the hero himself. Though he gave the other a look that said he would absolutely watch a film like that, but dropped the subject nonetheless to smile instead.

He was glad they both seemed to be doing better, himself more than Dan maybe but the fact remained that Arrow had hoped his friend would find something a little more easy-going in due time. It didn't do any good to be on the move as much as the demon-hog was, or as stressed as they had been during some of their past meetings.

They both needed something to break the norm, there was no doubt about that, and the hedgehog grinned at the proposal.

"'S not a bad idea, an' I've been meaning t' see what other things you're int' anyway. Who knows, we might have something decent in common." Something to look forward to a little later, when they weren't in what was literally the world's most disgusting zone. they would keep descending for a few more minutes, with the hero's eyes scanning as they went before he spotted something and made his way to it. While chuckling at Dan's statement.

"You and me both. Someone has t' be a different kind of mad t' be living here willingly." And right on cue the hero found what he had seen, a makeshift hatch of some sort wielded into the mess around it. And the oily tracks leaving it said someone had been going in and out for some time now. Looking at Dan, Arrow raised a brow. "Looks like this might be it. Thinking knocking is too straightforward?"

The demon-hog would only sigh, shaking his head from her words before looking back at Ely to answer. "Other than the fact its a literal warship, nothing too special that I could see. So don't draw the attention of the big guns and you'll be fine." Assuming that Ely intended to do the quiet approach that should be easy enough.

Though as the mention of the emerald came into play that would be a little trickier.

"So, the good news is yes its on there, bad news is that I don't know where and there's certainly more security, might not be special but the number of bots is pretty high." It was no surprise that the doctor would have such security given it was one of his numerous flagships but it wasn't that which was troubling Dan.

"The real risks is that I have reason to believe whoever took it during our squabble in the museum is probably still on board. It could be a potential issue since we don't know who or what it is...."

"The other thing is when we get our chance to even start this, while we're onboard, unless we're super lucky and find everything immediately....its probably going to fly off with us on board. Your not scared of heights are you?"

"Suck on a knob!" Krisha hissed, causing Ely to roll his eyes. He could only imagine the kind of nonsense she had done with Dan since the last time they saw each other. She wasn't his concern though.

"I don't mind causing the doctor trouble once in awhile." Perhaps it was a rebellious teenage thing for him. "I've dealt with him before so I know what his usual stuff is. I just need to know if there's anything serious roaming around."

Ely did not want to deal with one of Eggman's more serious creations. "And where that stupid emerald is." That was part of their goal as far as he was aware. Get the emerald and cause some damage. "I assume it's there."

Bzzt. Krrzt... BUZZ-BUZZ!! Sounds emanated from Dan's device once again. Seems... Predictable. Except, instead of any signs of hesitation-- The ghost POPS RIGHT OUT! (This seems familiar, doesn't it?)

"Hey! Long time no see! Are you ready to go on an adventure?!"

"Ahh no, please don't tell me there's something technical wrong..." The demon-hog worriedly mumbles to himself as he begins to hear the concerning whirring and buzzing sounds coming from the wrist tool device, investigating it worriedly.

The last thing he needed was both his only communication device and coordinate traverser to be broken.

So when this turned out to be a familiar ghostly figure erupting from it, this wasn't what he expected. "Huh!?" Taking a step back in surprise.

"What's the big idea? You deciding to haunt my stuff now!?" Though after taking a moment to recompose himself Dan would relax slightly. "It has been awhile though yes....and an adventure?" A brow raising in curiosity.

"That they could, but the question is what kind of trouble?" While the demon-hog still had no interest in picking a fight with some of the other locals just clearly trying to enjoy their own night out, he wasn't against some levels of mischief.

Though once Ely seemed to get himself out the idea of causing a scuffle with someone Dan would add on.

"And what exactly classifies as fun to you?" He'd further inquire curiously. "I'm not against doing something 'fun' if it doesn't involving innocents being harmed. If you want to bust up some gang hideout, that can be a little amusing."

There was an raise of an eyebrow towards Dan. "I don't know. Two lonely idiots can get in a lot of trouble together." There was an amused look before he finally straightened up in his table completely. "Fine, I guess you win. I'll just sit here and be good."

There was a smirk on his face. "Although next time we go and do something a little more active for fun."

"Off its axis?..." Softly mumbling to oneself as he repeated the line, wondering just what the story was behind that, probably best not to question it for the time being. "Right. got it."

At a glance, the street appeared to be like any other he'd seen as far as Dan was concerned, no particular special quantities but he could tell by tone alone that there was an obvious favouritism towards it and its not like he could blame them with the fact its where they lived.

"Must be nice having your friends be pretty close by to you, I usually have to travel across long distances to meet mine and between them is even further."

Another detail the demon-hog could come to appreciate about being here already was that it wasn't very busy as a whole compared to the bustling streets of some towns or cities. "But yeah, its cool, seems pretty relaxed...any particular history or anything?"

The boy hardly noticed how much time had passed, though if he had he might have been worried once those five minutes had gone by. As it was, and as he usually did, the boy had gotten drawn into the day's blueprints. Making minor adjustments here and there, and recalculating a few things, the world around him was basically mute as he concentrated on his work.

Had it not been for Dan reappearing right in front of him Phineas might have missed their return altogether. But given the boy's wide, fasinated eyes and smile he was definitely glad the other had come back and set his pencil down.

"See? Told ya. Things are usually pretty quiet around here the majority of the time, but next time there's a massive alien attack or the world is off its axis again I’ll let you know." Who knew? Maybe Dan would be more efficient at saving the world, but hopefully they wouldn't have to find out anytime soon.

But a tour sounded perfect, and Phineas knew just where to start. "We can totally do that. And we'll start right here in the neighborhood."

And while he loved his backyard the boy knew that to get the real feel for it all they had to hit the streets, and that exactly where he lead Dan. Sure, it just looked like a regular street with a few eccentric houses but to the boy it was everything.

"This is Maple Street, where Ferb and I and all our friends and families live."

“I’d love to RP but I’m not sure how our muses can interact!”

Need some starter ideas? These might be really useful for muses from different fandoms or canon divergent characters. 

Somehow a muse has crossed into a parallel world or through time and space. Pretty easy thing if magic, miracles, time travel or far future technologies are involved with one of the muses. This makes for plenty of possibilities for one character to explore the world of the other! 

A muse has gotten in trouble. This works great when one muse is a lawyer, doctor, or detective. Plenty of opportunities to use injured memes here. 

Kidnapped! And oldie but really handy if there’s a villain muse, kidnapping someone either because they needed a car and a driver, or to ransom or make a super hero squirm. Bonus points if you kidnap the wrong person!

“I’d like to hire you.” One muse is looking for a new bodyguard, chauffeur, a private detective, nanny, hacker or escort and wants to hire the other muse for their talents. 

Collateral damage. Both muses are in a dangerous situation caused by someone or something else. You didn’t mean to get stuck inside the Disney store at Times Square when a super villain dropped a truck in front of the door, but you are now!

“I needed a change.” A great idea for canon divergent characters, a muse literally moves away from their past life and settles somewhere else. This is a great option for characters that lived through an experience (even though they might have otherwise died) and wanted to get away from what caused it. This also works for someone looking for a fresh start.

"Cmon, that's even more unfair, yes, you wanted intelligence in the form of a picture." Giving a brief nod of his head in agreement before continuing in an argumentative tone, the combination of lack of patience and being accused only adding to the fire. ".....of an enemy we weren't even sure existed with them being deliberately hidden until now, if we hadn't snuck in, we'd still be sat out there doing nothing waiting for a snapshot....."

"and technically, we didn't blow the place up completely either, that was the Chaotix Squad when they backed us up....not that we didn't appreciate that in the moment." Taking a moment to take a breath, not really wanting to shift this argument into making a blame game, that wasn't going to help right now.

"Look, If its us specifically us they're looking to get for revenge, then Its easy enough, We'll go out and get their attention elsewhere so another team can do it unopposed." Even Dan himself didn't believe in that remotely working as easily as he suggested but he figured it was better to say something rather than nothing, wanting to keep the fight against the doctor going more directly.

"I'm not scared by that masked enforcer of theirs, if you think that's an issue, its not!" Even if all motions of common sense told him direct confrontation wasn't the best course of action.

There were going to be several more additions to be made however he'd refrain himself from making them after the heated debate was cut in further by Kintobor whom had drawn attention to themselves now and leaving an obvious curiosity to see what they had to say.

Perhaps they had an answer of sorts that could help solve this conundrum

{➹} – IT WAS EXACTLY WHY the hedgehog had asked, he knew that the pair hadn't thought things through any more than they had their last mission together. Already he was starting to see a pattern he didn't much care for, one that had already dug its claws into The Resistance and had made things twenty times harder for them. They had a small victory, yes, but the ripple effect had been major and it didn't seem that Dan nor Johnny realized that.

In fact the rabbit looked like he wanted to take the hero's head off at that moment. Something that was becoming shockingly common. Especially when the hedgehog shook his head at Dan's recap, and firmly at that.

"No, I asked you t' do reconnaissance. From a distance. I needed information, a picture. Not for you two t' go int' the heart of enemy territory, blow it up and piss off our enemies t' the point we can hardly manage supply runs because every iota of Robotnik's forces are looking to pay back what you two did."

"Sonic." It was Kintobor's voice that cut across this time, recognizing not just the hedgehog's growing anger but he was perhaps the only one who could look at and see both sides here. It was enough for the hero to pause, but there was still a fire in his eyes before he let out a sharp breath.

"Make a plan. And then we'll talk."

"Perhaps things are not that simple..." Kintobor chimed in again, his holoprojection now forming next to the hero. Timid, but that didn't stop him from continuing his thought. "As much as I agree with you that things could have been handled better and our current predicament isn't ideal...they also have a good point."

Almost the entire journey he'd been mentally repeating to himself that once he's dealt with this part he doesn't need to deal with this annoying feline again, trying to ignore the frequent smacks or claws at his back. "Y'know, I don't think I'm going to miss you at all lady." He'd mumble as he reached the meeting spot before putting Krisha down on her feet before facing Ely.

"Glad you didn't decide to get cold feet pal, so, you ready to get this started or is there anything else I need to cover for you quickly? Preferably before the cat starts acting anymore childish or the time slot runs out."

He figured they had at least a little time before things got cut too closely if Ely wanted any more information outside of what they'd already agreed on. "Oh and as for you kitty, you can go ahead and start to leave once contact is made. I'd suggest you make it hasty when you do, don't need any unnecessary accidents after all. See? I kept my promises despite your irritations."

There was already every suspicion she'd likely try to cause a problem or warn the doctor's forces when the show started, but the demon-hog already believed it wouldn't be a factor regardless of any efforts made.

Ely couldn't pretend to concentrate on anything. Usually he would try to go to school, try to be a normal person getting an education. But it was soon he was ditching class all together. The whole thing was making him anxious. So as soon as he could, he had picked up Molly from her school, walking her to be babysat until the ordeal was over with.

When he returned home he would find Dan's note. Mostly because who the world placed a rock on the top of the stairs?

'She's not my friend.' Ely thought with a huff as he quickly changed into a more comfortable outfit and grabbed a few pieces of the gear he had to shove into pockets. He wasn't going to underestimate Eggman.

He got to the place quickly, his hood up to cover his head as much as possible as he waited for the duo. He'd end up seeing Krisha's tail puffed up as she seemed to have attached her claws to Dan's back again. Mostly to keep balance, although it if hurt him good. Ely wasn't sure if he should be amused on how much she was swinging her tail on purpose to smack Dan in the face.

She wasn't going to let this monster tell her what to do. There was very few people that could do that and it wasn't him!
