The Final Countdown.
So this will be the last blog of my technopreneurship journey. And also our finals week for my 4th yr 2nd semester. On this week, the ROLL company constructed a prototype for our Recyper Machine. We are able to comply the emphaty map, target market and the lean canvass. As the last meeting will come this coming wednesday, we will be presenting our slide decks. Me as the hustler would spend alot of time to practice at least 4mins way of pitching. And with that, our group is now preparing all the needs for our final pitching. The feeling is unexplainable for me as the HUSTLER of the group, i feel pressured right now for this coming pitching presentation. Nevertheless, we still work as a group, share ideas from time to time and be able to cooperate each one of us on this coming wednesday thtmat serves our FINAL EXAM 🤗✔😥❤👏 That would be all, thank you. #LastBlog #13th #FinalBurst

Value Proposition, Target Markets and Revenue Model
So my 12th blog begins with a detail of Emphaty Map and that would supposed to be presented last Monday and Tuesday, unfortunately we ran out of time due to conflict schedules and somehow still lack of info from our persona, So we need to move on. Then last wednesday, our schedule for techno, our instructor gave us requirements that we should be prepared about it and finish it until its finals week. So he guided us with these reminders : 1. 4 mins pitching - me as the hustler of the group must practice a lot because i do only have a 4min speech in front of the entrepreneurs. 2. A.Present our slide deck of course, this is the most important in pitching, which could represent our device the “Recyper” and it has : Problem, Solution, Value Proposition and How do our product works. B. Competition( our target of course), C. MARKET SIZE, D.Revenue model, E. Early Adopters 3.then we go to Prototype , but ours is too hard because it is a device. So we are going to use a cardbpard to represent our device. 4. Lean Canvass, we're getting to it. 5. Emphaty Map, finished. 6.our Persona, done. If we finish these requirements, we could allow our group to pitch in front of the entrepreneurs. Then for TARGET Markets, so we aim that the beneficiary would be those offices like registrar, cashiers and dean's office inside the USTP campus. Be cause they do have alot of used papers (bondpapers) that can be recycled into a clean paper again. Then for pur Revenue Model, a reminder from our Lean canvass on how we are goinfg to sell our product, how do we get money out of that product and in what way we are going to sell our product to those entrepreneurs out there. That would be all , thank you. #12th #Techno #FinalsIsComing

Customer Inclined
On this, we focused on the customer side. In a way of interview just to get their interest/s or if they do really have for our startup. After absorbing all the details from our required customer, we placed it on the Emphaty Map. Then all throughout the week, we get more details for our lean canvass, it must be clear and concise so that we could finish our start up. Then our instructor help us and gave us much better idea by presenting his previous students' slide decks and told us to rephrase our "solutions". Next would be the Customer Development, on this presentation from our instructor, it gaves us more knowledge about the key metrics, telling us how our business is doing. Defining success with the help of the two identified two key metrics : 1) list of customer action that drives and 2) by defining success sighting a revenue value. Customer discovery is very important in this part because it is one way to help us entrepreneurs to construct our detailed ideas and to finish our start up. Thank you and that would be all. #11 #RecyPerMachine #ROLLCompany

Go with the flow.
Last wednesday (March 08,2017), the respective groups presented their powerpoint presentation regarding on their device and applications. So for our part, the Recyper Machine, we able to pitch once more on that meeting but then as we reach on the “How it works” from our slide, our instructor told us or corrected us that instead of presenting a WIREFRAME application for our device to let the users know what is our device all about, we better explain further the “internal process” of how to recycle a paper using our small scale device.
Our instructor also told us that we should narrow down our problem so that we could have a clear pathway to finish our scientific concept of our Recyper machine. And for the reminders, for the next week, this coming Monday and Tuesday, we would be able to present our group slide deck to our instructor and he will help us to improve our skills in pitching and give us more ways how to convince an entrepreneur for just a 3 minute discussion. That would be all thank you.

Start-UPdates
Today's week, our instructor wasn't able to come for our schedule. So what we did together with my group is, we are able to construct a scenario on how we are going to interview some of the student here in USTP for our Recyper Machine. And also redefine our scientific concept of our Recyper Machine, we make it clear and straight to the point so that by next meeting we could already pitch our improved concept. We had also used the app "wireframe" to help us design our device so that we could present it to the users somehow while we are delivering an interview to them. For our group, the ROLL Company, our designer was Lagahit and Opon, because they were the ones who had laptops and be able to do it anytime on their leisure time. With these updates for our group, somehow we our now ready to pitch again on this upcoming meeting. That would be all thank you. #9th #Techno #RecyperUpdates

Getting deeper.
Hello everyone, Ill be going to start my week’s blog. And the scope of this blod would be 1) Validation board 2) Leadership Entrepreneur Failure 3) Slogan for our Venture 4) Practicing wireframe and 5) Continuing the Pitch.
To start, last wednesday feb.27, 2017 our instructor presented to us an example of a validation board. It is a case study of your lean canvass, determining if your start-up machine would click to the users. Where on the inside of the “Validation Board” would be: 1) Customer Hypothesis & Problem Hypothesis - when having a two sided markets, you should always validate the risker side first and somehow balance these two markets. 2) Core Assumptions- it is a tip when there will be a trial that is invalidated or a move that will break your business. 3) Riskiest Assumption- in this part, you could determine who has the highest level of uncerntainty. 4) METHOD- this guide will tell you on what would be the lowest cost way to test the “ Riskiest Assumption”. For example, exploration or pitching. And this part also will be your “minimum success criterion"meaning, what is the weakest outcome you will accept as validation. 5)RESULTS- of every after methods, there will be always a result of your input. Get out of the building so you can explore and get more details. 6) The first would be the “VALIDATED” if validated, brainstorm and test the next riskiest assumption from your list. Then if “INVALIDATED” , pivot at least one core hypothesis again. 7) Pivot - this will be your next action of turning around a point the moment you are invalidated. 8) lastly, of course your Solution Hypothesis- you can only arrive on this part if you are validated.
Next, the Leadership Entrepreneur Failure.Ummm… Being an Entrpreneur is not easy, you need a lot of time to think for a brilliant idea. And trying to be an Entrpreneur is just TRYING to put yourself into RISK or stress life (HAHAHA), but then the exchange would be a lifetime money somehow. For me, Entrepreneurs are made, because in our everyday lives, we tend to explore, notice/observe, and adopt of things that we experienced all throughout. There will always be a follower so you can call yourSELF a LEADER. And a leader must also share his/her knowledge of all his/her journeys in life through hardships and success. As we all know, in an Entrepreneurial path, SUCCESS and FAILURE will always be balance. You are not sure when to succeed or when to failed. Because all you have to do is to spent much of your time to think and focus on a solution that could be benefited by the users. And before you gain that leadership, you must have been cross to those rough roads like bankruptcy and even failed to finish your start-ups. There will be always a quote: “TRY AND TRY UNTIL YOU SUCCEED” and “QUITTERS WILL NEVER WIN” , so if you really wanted to pursue entrepreneurship in your life, you must be ready for the failures of your journey but never lose hope because those QUOTES will keep you always remember so that it could boost your self-esteem to continue your journey all throughout.
Next, our ventures for the Recyper Machine. It will be the basis of Flexibility and Efficiency. Flexible in terms of, umm if we are going to try aside from newsprints, another paper to be our input for the machine. And efficient in terms of our output. We must barely consider our output because our aim is to have a Clean Paper, and its being efficient must release a durable paper.
Next, practicing wireframe. This is an app suitable for those designer your team. An app that could help you visualize your device startup or application startup so that you can have a trial from your users by just using wireframe app. This app could help you design the features of your app/device and could let the users see what would happen next if they are going to try those procedures of your design in the wireframe. This app is very much helpful for us because we are still on a training stage in our company.
And lastly, Continuing to pitch. By the next meeting, we will comply all the tips from our Lean Canvass. We already presented our 1) Problem , 2) Customer’s Segment, 3)Unique Propositional Value and 4) Solution. So by next meeting, our company which is the ROLL COMPANY would be able to finish our 8steps of our Lean Canvass and Pitch it in front of our instructor.
So that’s all, thank you for reading my blog.

Take a look on our plan.
This blog would cover our Lean Canvass for the course Technopreneurship. This plan would be able us to help to determine our start-up’s needs. And be able us to narrow down the specific needs for our start-up.
Being the HUsTLER of the house, I was the one who presented the powerpoint for Lean Canvass (feb.15,2017) , among the “9” requirements of our ‘business plan’, our instructor told us only to construct a plan that is only upto step 4. Which begins with 1)Problem, where our Major problem is a “large quantity of USED paper”. And we narrowed it down into top 3 problems : a)Large quantity of waste paper, b) waste money, c) space consuming.. but our main problem or let us say our specific would be this LETTER “A”. Because are target is to prevent those students who throws their scratches very often. And with those problems, we had these “Existing Alternatives” : *Segregation *Recycling paper ,* Buy &Resell just like in junkshops. Then next would be the 2)Customer Segment,we got three scopes : a) Student Organization- if they would buy our device, it could help them to have a project of INCOME Generating program because it is one of the requirements before the S.Y. ends on a Student Council/Orgs. b)Offices- especially in cashiering and registrar’s office, they have lots of paper waste every single day, it could help them also to save money and it is convenient for them to ask questions or help if there would be any problems on our device. c) Intructors- they also use alot of papers for their quizzes, reviewers and book references that are photo copied. Then the early adopters would be (Quizzes, Exam Sheets,Reviewers). Next would be the 3) Unique Value Proposition- on this part , we really had wasted lots of time on this part because it is not easy to create a “convincing line” to those an interested audience out there. But still we present this line in front of our instructor : A paper a day, saves money all the way. Then somehow our instructor let us revise the catching line of ours because we still lack its formula. Then the last step to comply would be the 4) SOLUTION - a solution for those problems that could let our device cater onwards. Well our solutions for those problems 1 by 1would be the a) Reuse paper b) Recycle paper c)Sell those paper d) segregate / organize. But if we could connect it to our device, “a” & “b” only could be cater for our device.
So as we finish to present our Lean Canvass, our Intructor added some thoughts and help us how to modify our presentation so that it could be clear for us and easy for us to analyze and brainstorm again sooner or later onwards. Our instructor told us that next meeting our revision must be right and clear and more specific unlike on this presentation. So hoping for the best and new ideas to come for the next brainstorming from our group. That would be all , thank you. #LeanCanvass #7th #Techno

Getting things done.
This would be the continuation for my blog last tuesday (feb. 7,2017) that was our midterm for technopreneurship. So as we pitch on that day, what our instructor told us to do for the next week presentation is to have a presentation that would let the audience recognize our concept, which is the same with those large scales companies that uses Recylcing Paper system. Then for this week, our presentation would be the mechanism of our Recyper.
Along the way, when having our techno class last wednesday (feb.8,2017), our instructor postponed the presentation and discuss about the “lean canvass”. Giving us more idea on how we are going to conceptualize deeper on our Recyper System. Our instructor give us more tips on how we are going to have a “plan” for our start-up. So as we go throughout on the discussion, Lean Canvass is like a calendar chart, that is composed of 1) Problem -this would be your costumer’s top 3 problems, 2) Customer Segments - this would be the costumers and users of your start-up, 3) Unique Value Proposition- this would be a convincing message that turns unaware visitor into an interested prospect,   4)Solution- of course every problem must always have a solution, 5) Channels- you should list your path to costumers, 6) Revenue streams - this would be your sources of revenue 7) Cost Structure - you should determine what would be your fixed cost and variable costs, 8) Key Metrics - this would be able to guide if you have key numbers so that it could tell you how your business is doing, 9) Unfair Advantage - you should be guided to something that can’t be easily copied or bought. So this would be the tips that would help us atleast to finish our start-up in our course.
After that, our instructor also give as an assignment using this tips, so that on the next meeting, we would be able to present our calendar chart and also the results of our concept about how it works of small scale Recycle Paper System.

The Right Choice.
So last tuesday on the afternoon, it was our midterm exam schedule for the subject Technopreneurship, and our group was the third presenter. To start the scenario, on the previous week before our midterm exam for this subject, we have these two ideas then among those two we came to chose an idea which is the “Paper Recycling”. Then here comes our midterm exam day, we named our company as ROLL Company, which is enclosed with our respective ‘last names’, starting with Repollo, Opon, Lampago and Lagahit, and the name of our start-up became “Recyper”.
Then the presentation begins,so i’ve decided not to talk in front because i already did last week. So i gave my mates a chance to speak out and present our start-up which is the “Recyper” . Our presentation talks about “HOW IT WORKS”, or let’s say what would be our concept for this Paper Recycler. And the concept of our start-up is just the same with the concepts of those large companies out there who uses “Paper Recycler Sytems”, but on our part what we are going to do is just to create a concept that is only a “small scale system” of a Recyper.
Then, after presenting our concept, our instructor helped us on how we are going to manipulate the concept into “REALITY” and somehow he also suggested some ways to make it reliable to the entrepreneurs in the market. He also gave us some insights about what would be the size of our start-up if we continue the concept “Recyper”. Sooner or later, those ideas and suggestions of our instructor would help us a lot for our start-up’s concept. That would be all thank you.

Been there, done that.
As we volunteer our group to be the first presenter, we took the courage to influence Engr. Mabulay to understand our two ideas which is 1) Garbage Segregator and 2) Paper Recycler. Being the “speaker of the house” i mean in the group, I offer myself to the audience to introduce our start-ups. My teammates made me as their front person because I already had an experience before the so called Pitching Competition. So one way to pitch is just to present 2-3 slides, and that slides contains of course our PROBLEM then it follows by A SOLUTION like its an “App” or a “Device”. By the way our group focuses on the category : Proper Waste Disposal and our parameter is inside on our campus the USTP.
Even though I am the only one had an experience about Pitching, I never let my mates not to expose theirselves in front of the crowd so that they could also explain their ideas with me and we could also defend it together. And so far, as as a good speaker or let us say , good communicator, I also find it hard every time there is a new person listening and observing in front of me that is why the Pitching of ideas has a great purpose and should have always a team mates because when there is a time that you find it hard to explain, your mates will always be there to support and help to discuss your ideas.
I could say that sharing your ideas in front of an Entrepreneur/s, it will always be amazing to convince them and negotiate with along your Entrepreneurial journey :)

Top 3 players of start ups that relates on our topic ✔
Waste management is the generation, prevention, characterization, monitoring, treatment, handling, reuse and residual disposition of solid wastes. There are various types of solid waste including, municipal, agricultural, and special like hazardous and household etc. The term usually relates to materials produced by human activity, and the process is generally undertaken to reduce their effect on health, the environment, or aesthetics. Our group decided to create a start up device that can manage to separate “Biodegradable” and “Non-Biodegradable” inside in our USTSP campus. A device that could help our utility team to minimize their time used in separating the types of trash the moment it will be put inside the garbage truck. So the top 3 players that could relate to our topic among ASIA would be:
1. ‘E-Basura’ -A mobile app called “e-basura,” which seeks to solve the problem of improper electronic waste or e-waste disposal, was picked as this year’s top winner in a government-led startup competition for college students. The TeamseyRoll team from University of Cebu, which created the “e-basura” mobile app topped this year’s Philippine Startup Challenge. The creators of the e-basura app described their project as “a cross-platform mobile application that addresses the problem and teaches people on the proper disposal and management of broken and old electronics.”
“Since there is no established solution yet for this problem in our country, E-Basura aims to be the novel and disruptive platform for proper e-waste management in the Philippines,” the TeamseyRoll team said in its project abstract.
E-basura’s core features include tips and guidelines for dissemination of information on proper e-waste management and disposal, drop-off site map and locator where users can locate sites for proper disposal of e-waste, and pick-up calendar schedules which give dates on e-waste collection.
2. ‘Greenobin’ from India-It is a Gurgaon based startup that is focussed on collecting paper waste and market the same to paper recycling plants for further use. Its services include, Office Recycling, Security Shredding, Recycling bins. The start initially focuses on Corporate offices, followed  by school/colleges and households as primary customers. Greenobin offers free service as well as Premium services. (which includes, training, customized bins, etc.)
3.  'iXiandou’ from China - a Beijing-based paper recycling startup, has received a series A investment led by Tendence Capital. Aqua Ventures, an existing investor in iXiandou, also participated in the round that is worth tens of millions of RMB, according to China Money Network. Founded in 2014, Tendence Capital is a Chinese venture fund established by Wu Ronghui, an ex-director of Intel Capital’s China unit and aims to make investments in spaces like mobile health, digital media, ecommerce, consumer service, online to offline and industrial internet. The investment led by Tendence Capital will be used by iXiandou for client expansion, building warehouses and foraying into other services. “Waste material recycle is generally thought of as a low-tech, traditional and somewhat disrespectful industry,” said Fang Hao, founder of iXiandou. Hao sees the recycling work a trillion RMB market. iXiandou provides recycling service to business clients, mainly handling paper boxes and other materials. Mobile Internet is aimed to be used by iXiandou to improve the company’s management including waste collection, packing and logistics. They are currently partnering with convenient stores, hospitals, shopping malls and offices to collect paper boxes and other materials to recycle. China is a top destination where waste is imported. Figures reported by the Guardian show that China imported about 7.4 million tonnes of discharged plastic and 28 million of waste paper mainly that comes from Europe. This came as EU legislation encourages recycling more of the waste and increasing landfill charges. That would be all thank you. 🤗✔ #week 3

It is Me, not YOU but ME!
Hi there! At this point of my blog, ill be talking about my self evaluation with these respective questions : We have first is (1) What are my strong suits? , (2)What are my weaknesses?, (3)What is my topic interest?, and last would be (4) Why do i want to do start-up? 😂
So basically you as a person could barely determine what YOU are as a person of course. Only you could describe yourself and if others do,that would only be their opinion towards you.
For the first question, I’ll evaluate myself who I really am… My strong suits would be (1)I had the 200% confidence built in me, (2)I am a good listener and a good speaker. (3)I am an Open-Minded person, and i could prove that because Im an Student leader for about 4years @MUST-USTSP atm. , you can’t be a leader of your own choice if you yourself won’t open up to those people who suggest ideas towards you. (4)I am good in decision making, I had proven it many times.(5)I could easily FIT IN or adjust to those people having a different characteristics on me. (6)I am responsible of course and reliable 🤗.(7)I guess the most important for myself evaluation would be “im an early bird” person, especially in meetings and classes, school projects/ requirements, even though i wanted to experience for once to be LATE yet still didn’t happen to me hahah. I still have more but these top 7 would really define myself’s strong suits 😁😆
For the second question, hmmm my weaknesses would be: (1) I am a choleric person, i hate people who ask the same question repeatedly. (2) I am a tactless guy 😂😂because I speak frankly but this time I am very much careful already for what I am saying to those people around me. (3)I easily get hopeless when the moment my group mates doesn’t cooperate and do their jobs on time, later i also quit. (4)This weakness is very common, the “Procrastinate” attitude, for example: if my group or classmates won’t study or start to make the school works… me also won’t start haha. I guess that would be my weaknesses.
The third question: Science and Technology related would be my topic interest. It really amazed me how science describes our sorroundings. Especially physics, it help you understand how objects move, why they move and what are their purpose to move. And even though I am not that brilliant enough still it really captures my heart when it talks about science and technology. Hahah actually, I can’t wait to witness a flying vehicle with controlled gravitational pull up high, phones that are thin as a paper 😊 and all devices would be holograms like on the Iron Man’s movies.
Lastly the fourth question: As an engineering student, I wanted to have or to try a start-up for me to know more about how founders of their own devices/ companies strive hard to become a successful person later part. And so that I would not waste my money spending lots of engineering projects and after passing it, it will be left around the corners of the classrooms and become useless. A start-up could help me and encourage me more to do good in school so that I could construct more ideas that could really be helpful to our environment and could eradicate poverty in the country. Being an entrepreneur is not easy, but if you have the courage and when you believe in yourself… you could always surpass those challenges coming on your start-up journey. THAT WOULD BE ALL THANK YOU 🤗🤗

HAHAHAHA! :D im new to this.
First and for most, I would like to thank my instructor for giving me this kind of opportunity for learning new things in such a different way from my engineering course. Having a Technopreneurship in our course outline, it will be a great avenue for me to barely express my ideas in such a way that I could use my communication skills and confidence in delivering my ideas towards other people to the so called the entrepreneurs. And as an engineering student, to tell you frankly, we do have difficulties in speaking up our ideas because we are more focus in solving critical problems and actual execution having a technical type of course. So, I am very glad for giving us the chance to learn somehow a business related course and this would be apply sooner or later in presenting our thesis prototypes and more engineering projects to the great entrepreneurs nowadays.
When learning this course, my expectation would be first, is to improve my communication skills. Second, to enhance my critical thinking skills in analyzing problems in a entrepreneurial way. Third, to improve my capability in talking confidently with stranger people and in dealing with them onward. Fourth, I’ll be also expecting to know more about business in engineering field like endorsing my product to the entrepreneurs precisely and witty. Fifth, I’ll be expecting  that going through this subject, it could make me more a good and humble person especially when our product would be successful all throughout. And lastly, I will be expecting that at the end of this course outline, I would realize that even though I belong to an engineering field, it doesn’t mean I won’t open up my mind to the entrepreneurship field. Then, I’ll be learning to value this type of training because I know in the future, it could help me a lot in searching jobs.
Before my blog ends, I would like to share also my first trial in making a video activity at somewhere inside the mall. We took videos during our vacant hours in the activity called “Rejection Therapy”. At first, it could really waste your time thinking what situation would you like to act just to gain an answer “NO” from a stranger. It was very fun and exciting having that kind of activity because I knew to myself that i could do it easily because I got the skills among my other classmates. Lately, it only took me for about five minutes to conceptualize my ideas and shoot my video with the help of my partner. It was a really big achievement having successfully conducted your first activity on this subject.
That would be all, thank you for reading my blog :D
