everything by kaorunanjo. i recommend the report card  because PYRO CHERRY!!!!!

everything by casualbird (they write joe as trans btw!). some sfw, some nsfw, and their prose and storytelling is top-notch every time. genuinely. i’m blown away with every sentence. i think my favorite is equal footing (it’s their wedding night so it’s a bit nsfw, but not very explicit)

rose and shining dew on every buttercup , i’ve got these habits i cannot break , and the rough and rowdiest kid aren’t solely matcha blossom, but the relationship plays a role in each. rose and shining dew is about the found father/son dynamic between miya and cherry, i’ve got these habits is about miya roping joe and cherry into pretending to be his dads to get what he wants, and the rough and rowdiest kid is a canon-divergent au where joe is reki’s biological father (teen dad, written before ep12 revealed that reki’s father exists), and follows the plot of sk8 with that detail. all are recommended because i absolutely love the found family sk8 relationships. 

open the light that dwells in your heart is the first magical realism matcha blossom fic that i’ve seen (let me know if there are more!) and it’s really sweet

cosmicbluebells has some really sweet fics. i recommend in pursuit of the unattainable,  a fake dating one. i don’t usually like fake dating, but the characterization was lovely. 

hyuckithemelon is another writer i like, pretty much all sfw. 

the whole you feel like home (to me) series is so perfect in every way

sharkgirl was one of the people behind matcha blossom week. i remember her fics from free! (we have the same otp) and befriending her in the sk8 fandom was a bit like meeting a celebrity? i recommend everything. 

say it with flowers is a SHADOW POV!!! joe keeps coming to shadow to buy apology flowers for cherry and shadow’s just -.- the whole time

sepulcher  has great matcha blossom fics. i think my favorite is like a box where i keep my love, but i recommend everything. some fics are nsfw, but everything is tagged/labelled

and words are futile devices  is beautiful smut.. calligraphy kink fans how does it feel to win canon

the gambler is one i haven’t gotten around to reading yet, but it’s been very well-received. it’s currently ongoing.
