I don't consider myself a fan of the Elsa x Anna ship, however, this scene from the Polar Nights book struck me as very Elsanna
I love how both sisters talk openly about the things that happened in their childhood and forgive each other, saying words of encouragement. They're so sweet 🥹💗✨
But just look at the Snow Queen being possessive, because she considers Anna her property 7w7

"And you'll always be mine...Queen of Arendelle"
"Mine"! Mine!! From the word "belong"! Ahhhhh! The dominant Elsa is becoming more and more canon 🫦🥴

I know I talked about this in the propaganda for that one poll, but the amount of emotion Frozen is able to wring out of the fact that Elsa and Anna can't touch each other still makes me so insane as an Elsanna shipper. And like, yes, Elsa can't touch anyone, but with Anna, it's the one person she has left. It's the person she loves most. It's the person she's sacrificed years of her own life to protect and who has never left her thoughts all those years. And Anna longs to be held, longs to be touched, longs for something other than the void of seeming indifference that inspires Anna's own kind of devotion.
The gloves. The prohibition of skin to skin contact. It still makes me insane. The fact that so much of the imagery surrounding Elsa in the first movie is the gloves preventing physical touch, preventing the warmth of skin touching skin, a hand holding a hand - and when the gloves are gone, Elsa still can't touch her sister, still recoils from her though she wants to hold her and Anna wants to be held.
The self-denial on Elsa's part of a love that you've never stopped wanting.
The absolute feast all this gives Elsanna shippers when the sisters finally embrace - Elsa, who has just slumped brokenly over the icy figure of Anna, finally letting herself touch her but only able to touch ice now, not the warmth of skin - Elsa finally feeling the warmth of Anna's body against hers as Anna thaws - Anna awakening from icy death to feel the sister she has loved in isolation for years and assumed for years would never look her way holding her - fulfilment of something she has longed for, for years...
The fact so much of this longing centers on imagery to do with touch and specifically skin to skin contact, gloves cast to the wind, is friggin' heaven for incest shippers. It makes any touch charged, intense. It's screaming with erotic potential.
Like yes, we made jokes about them being awkward at the coronation, but it's so much deeper than that and it makes me insane.
