I will never watch this scene without crying

They had to pull all their bodies out, find their helmets, bury them, and honor them. The two of them had to bury clone after clone. A lot of men died on that cruisor, there are definitely more graves around it.

This scene breaks my heart. Actually breaks my heart. Because they did all of that. They found Jesse's body and buried him. They found as many brothers as they could. How terrible and traumatizing pulling body after body out of the debris must have been.

it was the perfect ending in my opinion

this, right here, is an entire summary of the clone wars. it was an unforgiving war fought by millions upon millions of clones—clones who were on the front lines, who created the name of the clone wars and were the face of it. and yet, in the shadows, no one knows what is behind that face of the war. what is going on inside that mind. what it’s planning. but as the clones start to crack, as the helmet is cracked here, it is all revealed, and it all makes sense. behind the mask, in the shadow of all of it, grew darth vader. a new empire. and so, as the clone wars draw to an end, as only one clone helmet is left in the piling snow, darth vader and the empire arises.

my reaction to the clone wars finale (SPOILERS BELOW!!!!)

y’all. i am crying. SO hard. a tv show has NEVER done this to me, not even criminal minds. and those who know me know i LOVE criminal minds. the clone wars managed to surpass the level of emotion i’ve ever felt towards a tv show. i ugly cried, end of story.

oh my god. ahsoka trying her best not to kill the clones, and rex’s reaction to looking at his unconscious brothers in the hallway. killed me.* darth maul absolutely WRECKING the hyperdrive. this hyperdrive control panel empty, YEET

the way he threw the helmet at a clone after using it as a shield,,,,, yes

maul also doing his best WITHOUT lightsabers. he’s a coward bitch boy but still. that impressed me.* the scene where ahsoka takes rex’s helmet off and he looks away in shame and she tells him he’s a good soldier,,,,, i was holding it together at this point but i was DAMN well close to crying here

the droids!! the goodest droids!!!

ahsoka battling off the clones while hanging from a grappling hook— badass. love her. if you can’t find me i’m probably praying to her at a shrine or something

remember how i called darth maul a coward bitch boy? yeah. him stealing the ship and running away is exactly that

the STRENGTH IT TOOK FOR AHSOKA TO LET THE SHIP GO Y’ALL— i literally felt her heart sink

ahsoka falling out of the cruiser made my heart LEAP into my throat oh my godddddd and she STILL managed to keep her cool!! how!! i would’ve flailed and screamed for a bit!!

was rex even a pilot? if not, then he’s a damn good rookie pilot* ahsoka running down the broken ship ughhhhhhh a QUEEN i love her

now this is where i started crying. and they did that all without lines! the writing and directing here is amazing

ahsoka in the dark robe overlooking the rows of graves made me break into tears. im watching it rn and crying

i started crying harder when ahsoka struggled to drop her lightsaber. it was her only remaining connection to her time as a jedi and the war,, and anakin. and she left it behind.* ANAKIN SHOWS UP AS VADER! y’all when i saw that i cried. ugly tears. ugly crying. ugly everything. i was a MESS

the way he picks up ahsoka’s lightsaber and brushes it off so gently, igniting it and confirming it was hers,,,, he thought she was DEAD.* you can see his eyes through the helmet and i can SEE the heartbreak in them

the picture of vader with a blue lightsaber was so weird to see

AND HE KEPT HER LIFHTSABWR DONT TOUCH ME IM SOBBING

the ending frame of vader walking away from an ahsoka-painted helmet perfectly ties together the clone wars to the 4th star wars movie. out with the old, in with the new. god i cried

i said this before and i’ll say it again: they didn’t need lines to make me SOB MY HEART OUT

anyways my heart is broken. i started watching the clone wars as a kid, ahsoka was my favorite. i was always her when playing star wars on the playground with the boys in kindergarten. i stopped watching the show, and was reintroduced by my boyfriend. i quickly grew to love it (and ahsoka) again. this is truly the end of an era for me, and for everyone.
