-Mack and Brady spend a whole musical number telling them they should go back into Wet Side Story but Lela doesn’t want to have people write lines for her. “I’ve gotta go back. It’s our job, to be characters in a movie” this literally sounds like forced heternormativity, like WSS is about how she ‘falls’ in love with the only boy who catches her n waits for him to save the day but she doesn’t want to have to play that part (bc alll it really is is a partm she r don’t like guys)

- in the necklace scene fron the first movie, she told Mack that she felt like they known eachother for a long time (destiny calling) and Lela needed to see Mack again in this one because she “inspires” her, even enough to change the movie into one where she doesn’t need a guy in the end (nothing ever will be the same) hint:the song is literally abt them, more than anyone else

-Mack pulling Lela to the side to finally saw godbye , super flirty “I’m really glad I got to see you again, Lela”

-Lela’s “I’ll never forget you… again” paralells Brady’s “How could I ever forget you?” towards Mack n they both end up knowing Mack again in the new universe (Mack has 2 love interests lbr)

-Mack giving Lela one of the “Save the beach” bracelets that she is selling for the fundraiser and it had the type of flower design as the gay necklace

-”I’ll treasure it forever” girl, she’s literally giving this to everyone it’s not that deep

-the wink Lela gives Mack at the end (headcanon her being the only one remembering meeting Mack and Brady and tries to find a way to see her again)
