So obviously this is a funny line. It's one of the earliest instances of Sissel saying something both very weird and disarmingly sincere, even if he's mostly parroting Ray from earlier.
But what also catches my interest is his phrasing: he doesn't say "I don't want to leave her there," he says he's "not the type" to leave her there. Rather than stating his wants, he asserts this as part of his identity. Which, as he realizes not long after this, is something he doesn't have much of at the moment.
Obviously, one could read this as a bit of Sissel's personality shining through, as it does in some other bits of dialogue. After all, later in the story, he makes the choice to keep saving people even when it lends him no benefit.
...But that's only after some character development. As we learn towards the end, in a version of events where Ray isn't being such a mysterious tutorial guide, Sissel doesn't choose to help Lynne at all. And before this, when he was alive, he wasn't someone with the means to help anyone out much, regardless of his desires.
That said, the face he's wearing isn't his own. And that face is also closely entwined with his memories, a person he knew for a long time.
Okay, you might be saying, so maybe he said this because he thought Yomiel was "that type." But why would he think that? Yomiel spent most of Sissel's life in an agonized, lonely state of depression and anger. He probably wasn't doing much helping anyone. In fact, he even caused Lynne's current predicament.
Why would Sissel subconsciously think of Yomiel as "the type" to reach out and help a lone, desperate soul with no means to help themselves?

His papers aren't the AUs themselves by the way, just his portals/links to them. If an au collapses, his paper disappears... :3
Og ink belongs to Comyet
So, this is one of the first times I'm ever making a comic, so I'm kind of learning as I go. Forgive me if there's any inconsistencies! There is also a high likelihood that i will remake this in the future. But first now, this is just for practice and fun!

Constantly reminded that even a lot of disabled people don't trust people with brain damage to think for ourselves and hold opinions, let alone abled people. Constantly reminded that even the most otherwise progressive people often think that it would be better if I had died and will happily tell me that. Constantly reminded that being visible both online and offline as someone with noticeable brain damage is a sure way to get myself dehumanised or worse. Well fuck you I'm doing it anyway
(This is about physical brain damage, including ABIs. No your autism/ADHD/PTSD/depression/etc. is not brain damage. Non-brain damaged people can reblog but don't add anything.)

People used to comment on web comics.
People used to comment on fanfiction.
People used to comment on fanart.
People used to comment on OCs.
I hate "content" culture.
I hate "consuming content" and scrolling immediately to the next thing.
People used to be excited about the art that other people created.
People used to want to share that excitement with creators.
I hate this future.

[Image Description: A headline of a BBC article titled "Israel security cabinet approves plan to 'capture' Gaza, official says." End Description]
Source
Israel, after over a year of genocidal war waged against the citizens of Ghazzah, is now planning on expanding its invasion even more. It intends to capture and hold territory in Ghazzah, once again endangering and displacing those who live there.
For months now, Israel has also been blocking any aid from entering Ghazzah, leaving Ghazzans starving. The Israeli cabinet approved a plan to deliver aid through private companies. However, according to BBC "The UN and other aid agencies have said the proposal would be a breach of basic humanitarian principles and that they will not co-operate."
Right now, this doesn't make much difference to the starvation Ghazzans are suffering through. Families go to sleep hungry each night due to the scarcity of food and overwhelming prices.
One such family is that of Hashem Bader @hashembadr. His campaign supports over 20 people, including numerous children. They have all been forced to go through displacement time after time, lacking access to food and medical care.
Hashem's family was originally trying to save to afford surgery for his young niece, Suham, who has been living with chronic pain after a broken bone healed wrong. Unfortunately now the family can't even save for her treatment. They just want to afford food to survive.
Unfortunately, donations keep stagnating for days on end. Hashem and his family urgently need help to afford food and avoid starvation.

im in disbelief at the fact that a lot of folks are simply over palestine. like protests are dwindling down. people are not very interested in news related to gaza. some are simply over it.
israel hasn't let aid in gaza in 70 days. gaza has been starving for 70 days. the condition of people there is horrendous.
i find it distressing to think about children in gaza. how does one continue to have a childhood in a genocide? they don't have school. they don't have safety. they don't have food.
despite all this, the kids will be alright. they'll be alright once the genocide stops and they get back to 'normal'. till then, can we please try to support them however we can?
this fundraiser (verified) helps feed a family which includes two young children. please consider helping their mother take care of them.

🟡 NEW: Israel has approved a plan to seize complete control of the Gaza Strip and hold it indefinitely. The plan, which was unanimously approved by the Israeli Cabinet, aims to intensify military operations in Gaza gradually.
The plan was approved despite warnings from the army chief, who reportedly told ministers that “this could endanger the hostages held there.” According to Israeli sources, the new plan will be implemented gradually after US President Trump’s visit to the region next week.
The plan also includes the forced displacement of Palestinians from the northern to the southern part of the Strip. Additionally, Israel plans to implement a new strategy for controlling the distribution of humanitarian aid, with backing from the US.
This comes as Israel continues to enforce a total blockade on essential supplies for the 65th consecutive day. The UN has already announced it will not cooperate with Israel’s new aid delivery plan, stating that “it contravenes fundamental humanitarian principles.”
