Not every day of Dhul Hijjah will feel spiritually strong. Some days you’ll struggle to wake up early, to focus in dhikr, to feel connected—and that’s okay. What matters is that you keep showing up. Even if your heart feels distant, even if your energy fades. Allah sees your effort, not just your results. These are the most beloved days to Him—so whatever little you do with sincerity, He gives it immense value. Keep trying. Keep turning to Him in your quiet moments. In these sacred days, even your smallest act can carry the weight of mountains.

وكمْ من زلةٍ ليِ في الخَطَايا وأنتَّ عليَّ ذو فضلٍ ومَنَّ

How many slips into sin I have made, yet You are, towards me, full of bounty and favour.

يَظُنّ النَّاسُ بي خَيرًا وإِنِّي لشَرُ النَّاسِ إنْ لمْ تَعفُ عنِّي.

People assume good of me, but I am the worst of people if You do not pardon me.

O Allah, make me among those who believe in You as You should be believed in, seek Your forgiveness as You should be sought, and repent to You with sincere repentance that will please You, O Lord of the worlds.

الموت ليس فكرة محبطة! واستحضاره ليس عبثاً! بل هو حافز للحياة وبوصلة تعيدك دائماً إلى الطريق الصحيح ..إنه الحقيقة الوحيدة التي تضع كل شيء في مكانه المناسب وتعرّيك أمام نفسك! وتضعك أمام السؤال الأهم:

هل ستغادر الدنيا خفيفاً أم مثقلاً بما يغضب ربك؟

Death isn’t a depressing idea, and thinking about it isn’t pointless. It’s actually a push to live better a compass that always brings you back to the right path. It’s the one truth that puts everything in its place, strips you bare in front of yourself, and makes you face the real question: will you leave this world light and free, or weighed down with what angers your Lord?

When your desires, nafs and weaknesses overtake you, call out to Allah with the duaa of Nuh عَلَيْهِ السَّلام

رَبِّ إِنِّي مَغْلُوبٌ فَانتَصِرِ

'Rabbi annee maghloobun fantasir'

'I am overtaken, so grant me victory!'

نظرتُ إلى حالي فلم أجد صديقًا

I looked at my state and found no friend

ثم ذكّرتُ نفسي: هل هناك صديقٌ خيرٌ من الله؟

Then I reminded myself, is there any friend better than Allah?

Allaahum-magh-fir dhan-bee wa tah-hir qal-bee, wa hassin far-jee

O Allah forgive my sins, cleanse my heart and guard my chastity

Shaykh Muhammad Salih al-'Uthaymin رحمه الله mentioned:

"A happy marriage is not achieved through authoritarianism and dominance, this is wrong. Rather, it is required from the husband to look at his wife as a partner, the mother of his children and the guardian of his home. He should treat her with the same respect he desires from her."
