Project: Profitable Startup Founder with E-commerce
Post: One
Topic: Lessons Learned since 2018
I love e-commerce not just because of the revenue part. Customers shop around for hours and hours to find what they need.
If you’ve been like everyone you must have noticed that the social media apps have become addictive for consuming content.
It’s the unlimited scroll that’s making it addictive.
Yesterday my Dad said, he would do hand gestures while he was asleep and when he woke up and see the hands moving, he would laugh it seems.
It’s scary to me and a blessing for us.
First of all, everyone who’s using social media, are not my customers. There is a specific audience for the startup founder to become profitable.
I call them Ideal Clients.
Ideal Clients vs Terrible Clients
Imagine, you get a call from your Client/Customer do you feel happy or do you cringe when they call?
You’ll know who’s the Ideal Client and your focus should be on building an Audience filled with your Ideal Clients or Prospects.
Your Audience are scrolling and you pop up on their feed. They’ll engage with the post. Remember you and your startup are still in business.
They’ll visit your business and shop with you. Or just browse around. Their wish.
If you’ve achieved a smooth flow in your e-commerce with infinite scroll and all the features working seamlessly without jumping around the browser tabs like a monkey.
Your Ideal Clients/Customers will visit and shop again.
Are there people still using numbered pagination?
Terrible Customer Experience alert.
You’re losing customers if this is the case. People don’t like to wait. They want result or feedback. If neither happens they’ll bounce.
That’s why bounce rate is too high in ready made e-commerce websites.
They’re poorly designed without Customer Experience in Mind for today’s day and age.

Project: E-commerce website customisation
Post: Three
Topic: Custom E-Commerce Ecosystem Plan
I’ve seen business owners choose Woocommerce, Big Commerce, Wix, Shopify, and many more choices.
You might be using it as well.
Here’s my ask: Ask your IT Team to fetch you Analytics login credentials and check out Bounce Rate, Average Session Duration & Page Views etc.
I want you to check 3 months to 3 months from when you started tracking till now.
Have you improved?
Have you fallen?
Is it unchanged?
To compare: I have seen my e-commerce improve from 45% bounce rate when I started with my technology stack mentioned in the previous post.
It came down to just 17% bounce rate. I know if you improve UI, you will get good results and doing marketing will be worth it.
This result is from aug 2019 - oct 22. Although it was working, I never took on more clients.
3 years of planning, designing and coding an e-commerce was fun. Looking at it generating crores of revenue is amazing.
It’s what helps the startup founder to generate profitable revenue.
I’ll setup the complete featured e-commerce and then I’ll let you decide how you’d like to customise it further to meet your customers demand.
Next up: I’ll be recording video sharing every step of creating the best e-commerce ecosystem that’s a breeze to use and grow with. Project videos on YouTube with handle www.youtube.com/@CodeOfConnection

Project: E-commerce Website Customisation
Post: One
I was going through global stats about startup failure rate.
The results were shocking and I think I know why.
E-commerce is the main reason. Because Customer Experience doesn’t mean installing a theme or a plug-in. It means designing the UI/UX customer loves and doesn’t make them think twice on how to go around shopping with you.
When they do, they’ll stay longer and shop with you.
Is it enough to improve Customer Experience?
No, you need an Audience to sell.
Audience is a bit different from your Market.
Market is out there getting on with their life.
But your Audience is someone who’s stopped and they’re listening to you.
Your job is to keep them engaged and provide value in their life.
You need to build a Personal Brand so you can build startups in public and succeed.
What’s built to show is also built to grow.
