ASTROLOGY: who are you attracted to?
Most people think attraction has to do with sun sign. Everyone’s heard: “If you’re an Aquarius, date a Gemini or a Libra!” This is due to the fact that mainstream astrology does not consider other factors besides your sun sign, and most people believe this. But actually, this is not true, because most of the time sun-sun compatibility has little importance - no more than giving a general vibe that the relationship would give off. Instead, we should really focus on connecting energies between two charts. Read my post here about how compatibility really works.
Here are some common connections that indicate attraction between two people. It says that they must be in the “same sign, but note that if the two placements are conjunct the bond is even more powerful.
SUN/MOON - 1st person’s sun in the same sign as the 2nd person’s moon:
both people feel like they’ve found their other half
the moon person looks up to the sun person
the sun person helps the moon person shine
there is an ease with each other that is very natural
both people “make sense” to each other
both have a similar attitude towards life
SUN/ASCENDANT - 1st person’s sun in the same sign as the 2nd person’s ascendant:
the two people are very similar
there are many common interests
they both view life in a similar way
the sun person likes the energy that the ascendant person naturally gives off
the ascendant person feels like they can be themselves with the sun person
self-expression is easy and harmonious together
MOON/MOON - having the same moon sign:
this is a powerful, soulmate-like relationship
both people feel a sense of security
the other person feels “familiar” somehow
sharing feelings is easy and natural
both are very sensitive to each other’s feelings and needs
there is an intense emotional bond, sometimes overwhelmingly powerful
one can read the other like a book
MOON/ASCENDANT - 1st person’s moon in the same sign as the 2nd person’s ascendant:
both people feel understood by each other
the moon person feels at ease expressing their feelings
the ascendant person feels understood by the moon person
there is a natural emotional connection
both are aware of and receptive to the other’s feelings
ASCENDANT/ASCENDANT - having the same ascendant sign:
both people feel very comfortable with each other
both people sense a similarity in the way that they project themselves to the world
both have many shared values and similar attitudes
both are attracted to the other’s self-expression
SUN/VENUS - 1st person’s sun in the same sign as the 2nd person’s venus:
the sun person is the venus person’s “type”
the sun person feeds off of the venus person’s love
both people give and receive much affection
the venus person values everything the sun person represents
the sun person appreciates the venus person’s expression
MOON/VENUS - 1st person’s moon in the same sign as the 2nd person’s venus:
the venus person makes the moon person feel comfortable
both care a lot for each other
both share a lot of values when it comes to a relationship
ASCENDANT/VENUS - 1st person’s ascendant in the same sign as the 2nd person’s venus:
the ascendant person embodies what the venus person finds attractive
the ascendant person appreciates the love the venus person gives
both are sensitives to each other’s needs and want to please each other
VENUS/VENUS - having the same venus sign:
both people are magnetically drawn to each other
there is an appreciation for each other’s personal style/aesthetic
both sense a similarity in each other’s romantic expression
both naturally understand each other’s romantic needs and satisfy them
VENUS/MARS - 1st person’s venus in the same sign as the 2nd person’s mars:
there is a sense of romantic chemistry
the venus person is attracted to how the mars person asserts him/herself
the mars person is attracted to the venus person’s charm and style
These are not the only indicators of attraction (there are many more involving asteroids or other points), but they are the most common ones involving personal planets. And also, having any of these connections does not guarantee a relationship will work out - they just give an indication of a strong connection between two people. There are both good AND bad sides to each of these connections, but here I’m showing the more positive side (meaning the reasons WHY you would feel the attraction in the first place). Having too many of these could potentially make a relationship overwhelming, while having only one might not be enough to keep a relationship going. It’s all about balance. :)

14-Day Shadow Work Challenge
Day 1- Artistic Expression: How Do You See Yourself?
►Using an artistic medium of your choice, illustrate or create a visual representation of how you perceive yourself.  Don’t feel it necessary to base this solely on how you see yourself physically; let it be a collective interpretation of your feelings, qualities, flaws, and overall self-image. Be as abstract or literal as you like.
Day 2- Introspection: What Don’t You Like About Yourself?
►Identify things about yourself that you don’t like or that you feel insecure about. Delve into the emotion that arises when considering these things. Ask yourself why you harbor these insecurities and where they stem from– are they based on societal standards, family conditioning, or religious compliance?
Day 3- Artistic Expression: How Do You See The World?
►Using an artistic medium of your choice, illustrate or create a visual representation of how you perceive the world around you. How does the current state of the world feel to you? Tap into your feelings and let them take shape through this creative endeavor.
Day 4- Introspection: What Bothers You About Others?
►Identify things about others (or the world in general) that get under your skin. External factors that trigger strong emotional reactions are great indicators of internal issues that need to be addressed. We tend to project onto others aspects of ourselves that are not readily acknowledged or accepted. Reflect on how  your personal state of being affects the way you see/judge others.
Day 5- Artistic Expression: How Do You See Your Shadow?
►Using an artistic medium of your choice, illustrate or create a visual representation of how you perceive your Shadow.  What shape does your Shadow take? Meditate on it a few moments and see what comes to you. Bring attention to you subconscious and observe what it makes you feel.
Day 6- Introspection: What Do You Need to Work On?
►Identify what aspects of your self could be improved by discerning which areas of your life you find disconcerting. Take note of any seemingly reoccurring circumstances, such repeated relationship issues or persistent financial struggles. Areas of your life that are disharmonious tend to reflect an inner aspect of the self that needs work.
Day 7- Critical Analysis: Dissect an Unhealthy Habit
►Analyze a habit that serves as a distraction from yourself and/or impedes your well-being. Ask yourself when you developed this habit, what caused you to develop it, and how it affects your life.  When you get an urge to partake in this habit, take a moment to note what feelings you are experiencing. You can trace those feelings back and try to understand what inevitably caused them, many times this stems from a childhood experience. Go ahead and indulge in this habit as you normally would. Then ask yourself how partaking in it alleviates you and why you feel you cannot be alleviated through other means.
Day 8: Emotional Awareness: Observe Your Unadulterated Emotions
►Let your emotions flow freely today; don’t muffle them. Try to observe and understand them without judgment. Don’t escape, express. Don’t deny, accept. Be present with your emotions today. Try to abstain from any habits you may have that serve as a distraction from or suppressant of how you feel (including any addressed yesterday). Take note of the physical sensations that your emotions induce, like feeling as if the walls are closing in when you’re experiencing anxiety or feeling like your chest is being compressed when you’re experiencing sadness. Try to trace these emotions back as far as you can and recall the first experiences you had that evoked such emotions.
Day 9- Journaling: Write a Short Story
►Write a short [creative] story based on some sort of dilemma you are currently experiencing.  This can be a fictional rendition of anything you’re going through– from a minor frustration, like having to deal with rude customers at work, to a life-changing ordeal, like experiencing a death in your family. Write a short story that parallels your experience. Try to write from an objective perspective and have some fun with it; incorporate fantastical creatures, horrific monsters, and bizarre heroes if you please. This exercise alone is a great creative outlet, but it also serves as an effective analytical exercise if you evaluate your story. By contemplating why you portrayed certain aspects the way you did, you may shed some light on your perspectives of the real-life situation and use the story to guide how to respond.
Day 10- Artistic Expression: Illustrate Your Fears
►Using an artistic medium of your choice, illustrate your fears and how they make you feel.  Imagine yourself coming face to face with your most prominent fears. Depict the “face” of these fears as well as the emotions they conjure.
Day 11- Journaling: Map Out Your Dissatisfaction
►Write down any areas of dissatisfaction in your life. Try to map out what these discontenting circumstances stem from and what they branch out to. Reflect on how to resolve your dissatisfaction based on the “roots” that trigger it. Jot down your primary complaint then try to map it back to a deeper issue and so on. Likewise, map out how the primary complaint branches out and affects other aspects of your life. You should be able to unearth at least one core belief that the issues stem from. (An example of a common core belief: “If I am not approved of, I will not be loved.”)
Day 12- Critical Analysis: Assess Your Core Beliefs
►Analyze your fundamental beliefs. Ask yourself if these beliefs are reasonable and worth keeping or if your life would improve if you were to eliminate them. The previous exercise should have helped you come to know at least one of your core beliefs. Think about how these beliefs affect your life and what your life might be like if you were not to adhere to them. Ask yourself if you feel bound by them or if they influence you to do things that are out of alignment with your desires.
Day 13- Artistic Expression: Forge Your Shadow
►Create a poppet that represents your Shadow. While making it, project onto it all of the shadow aspects you have explored in the past twelve days, as well as any others. This will serve as a physical representation of your Shadow that you can work with in the future. It can be a simple poppet made with paper or whatever materials you prefer to work with, though I would suggest something fairly durable. Keeping your poppet to make alterations to as you progress is a nice practice; it serves as a marker of sorts for your personal evolution. For example, I might have a particular button sewn to mine that represents fear of commitment, but once I work through that shadow aspect, I could remove it or alter it in some way to represent me conquering that fear.
Day 14- Meditation: Embrace Your Shadow
►Meditate with your shadow poppet. Visualize it being encompassed by white, healing light. Direct as much love and acceptance towards it as you can possibly muster.  This exercise is a preliminary step to accepting your Shadow. Having a physical representation can be helpful in doing shadow work that requires calling forth your Shadow for conscious interaction.
Tip: Leave your poppet out somewhere you will see it regularly; don’t hide it away in a closet or drawer. In addition to being a tool to work with, it is also an invitation for your Shadow to reveal itself.

Why Catholics Say Tarot is Evil
I’m from the Philippines, a predominantly Catholic country. I went to a private Catholic school, and in my teens taught Catechism to children in public school. I was Class Valedictorian, so such volunteerism was expected of me. I spent my early life studying Catholicism, and excelling at it.
You can trust me when I say there is one reason and one true reason alone why Catholics consider tarot evil.
Back when Spain owned half the world, it sent friars to its territories to convert the natives.
These friars were corrupt. They told people that heaven has seats they can reserve. That if they regularly donate money to the Church, their place in heaven is guaranteed.
They also taught people that only they can really speak to God. That while they are encouraged to pray at home, the reception is simply better when the call is done through a priest.
During this time, tarot was already being used in Europe — in Catholic Italy and France — as a way of directly reaching out to divine powers.
The Church would have none of it. Money that could be given to them is now being handed to fortunetellers. And their reputation as the only direct line to heaven is now in danger.
So the Church declared tarot evil.
For status. Which includes money and bragging rights.
That’s really just it.
To justify the myth, people reverse-engineered it. They fooled themselves into coming up with valid reasons for it. “Because Satan invented it.” “Because it summons evil spirits.” “Because it claims to know more than God.”
If you are a true Catholic, then you have to believe that your god is the only true god anyway, right? That no one — Satan or evil spirits — can even try to compete with him.
So why be afraid of tarot in the first place? Surely 78 pieces of cardboard paper are no match for your heavenly father.
Today, tarot is used by people of countless faiths. As a Greco-Roman pagan, I use it to commune with the Fates and my divine parents, Venus and Pluto. My aunt, who was a Catholic witch, used it to speak to the Holy Trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. A friend of mine, who is an atheist, uses it to speak to his higher self.
Tarot is simply an instrument. It is neither good nor evil in itself. Don’t let a misinformed Catholic tell you different.

Critique Paper: Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10 | December 13, 2021
TV show: Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10 | December 13, 2021
The show "Pinoy Big Brother" directed by Jay Klio Bermudez is a reality game show or competition that was first aired on August 21, 2005, in ABS CBN. According to Big Brother Wiki, the show names itself as the "Teleserye ng Totoong Buhay" (lit. Real-Life Soap Opera) and revolves around its concept of "Pagpapakatotoo". A group of Filipino volunteers are going to live inside the Big Brother House for a certain number of days without any contact from the outside world. The show was said to express its social experimental nature by "restricting the housemates from discussing and influencing nominations and having Big Brother as the most powerful character in the show." In line with the pandemic and the protective measures against COVID-19, PBB housemate auditions are done through the KUMU app. Hence, the show's name being "Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10"
The episode of December 13, 2021 is the episode that is hardest for me to watch. To be able to help the victims of Typhoon Odette in Visayas and Mindanao, the housemates must sacrifice the comfort of their home. This means that they should give up the air-conditioned rooms, water in their showers and the electricity. All their essential needs and things that gives them comfort everyday are limited, even the food. The Big Brother aims to make the housemates experience what the victims of the typhoon experienced as they also want to help them. The following day, Big Brother gave them a task and that is to make a 15-layer plastic cup pyramid standing on a wagon, which they are going to move and walk for 70 times. Every 5 times that they are going to pass through the longer trail, one housemate will get a Christmas gift. The pyramid cup which they also called the "Christmas tree", fell three times and they had to redo it all over again. In the end of the episode, they succeeded in the given task, but they were given a harder task the next day.
This whole episode showed the willingness and determination of the housemates to help their kababayan. The audience can see the love that Filipinos have for each other because we only have each of our shoulders to cry and lean on. No matter what differences we have, this episode showed how we can be reliable, helpful, and resilient. One may think that Kuya gives task that are so hard and impossible to finish or win. But we can also think that the reason behind this is because, the housemate must work hard for them to help the victims of Typhoon Odette. They did not only do this for their families who were also victims, but also for all of them who’s having a tough time.
If I were to rate this episode over 10, I would give a 9 because it was so hard to watch yet is worth it. This reality TV show is highly recommended for those who are yearning for reality shows with chismis and dramas. It is interesting and exciting. Some may find themselves getting attached to the housemate and would get hurt once their manok gets evicted.

When to use what in witchcraft -
Ok so I am gonna say this is my personal reference, its mainly through associations. You might TOTALLY disagree and thats chill!
Its more something to think about and a guideline of what I use myself…
Candle Magic:
Carve a candle when…. the candle represents the target, in sympathetic magic. When, essentially, the candle is a poppet and lighting it is a symbol of destruction or empowerment to the target.
Place something under the candle or before it when… you are doing general candle magic, when the candle represents empowering a wish, idea or concept.
Anoint the candle when… doing work with spirits and gods, when you mark the candle for a special purpose, when doing high magic.
Herbs and plant work:
Use dry herbs when… it is convienent to do so, when the herbs are out of season or when you need to store them in a jar or bottle for a long time.
Use fresh herbs when… the spell is very earth orientated, when doing magic on behalf of another or when the magic is sympathetic so that the herbs represent the target, within kitchen witchery.
Use flowers when… when the spell concerns love and sex, or perhaps fertility and attraction, due to flowers being the reproductive parts of the plant.
Use fruit when when… working with children as a target, or with children practising. When you work with fertility and abundance spells.
Use wood and twigs when… when the spell is for protection or binding, for hardiness.
Burn herbs (recaning/incense) when… you wish to cleanse or banish, or invoke an atmosphere - that being, for divination using herbs that are said to open up your perceptions, when banishing, burning acrid or pungent herbs.
Use oil infusions when… you wish to anoint something, when you wish to mark something permanently.
Use floral waters (rose water etc) when… dealing with spirits and gods, for glamour as it has a long history of being used to beautify.
Crystals:
Use metals (haematite, copper, ores etc..) when… you work in protection, when you do energy work due to the conductive properties of metal.
Use shell, pearl, coral and such when… you work in sea magic, when you work within emotional magic due to the element of water.
Use points when… you wish to direct magic to a target.
Use tumble stones when… you wish the magic to be gentle or manifest at a certain place on the body on a target.
Use geodes when… you work in protection, when you work with glamour aimed to obscure and hide.
Knot magic:
Use cotton when… it is convenient.
Use silk when… doing spells that benefit the target.
Use ribbons when… love spells and wealth spells, as well as confidence and beauty spells. Spells to ensure victory.
Use rope when… doing spells that aim to hurt or weaken the target, binding especially.
Poppets:
Use cloth when… the spell aims to benefit who the poppet represents, use particular care when sewing or cutting, choose colours that are appropriate to them.
Use wax when… you wish to manipulate the target.
Use clay when… wish to create fetches or servitors, when you wish to create permanency.
Use twigs when… you wish to bury or throw the poppet out, when you want the poppet to be easily destroyed by breaking or setting on fire.
Sigils:
Use an alphabet grid or circle when… you wish the sigil to be more random and less attached to you.
Combine the shapes of letters from a sentence… when your sigil is very specific and a short term goal.
Use your own personal symbols when… you want the magic to be connected to you, when it is personal.

Any tips on how to absorb and retain what you've learn during research since there is so much information?
Any thoughs on information gathering technique and your preferences?
(e.g. handwritten vs digital, draft vs directly doing a grimoire/BoS, one grimoire with all the info vs multiple grimoires, dividing info by subject or by source, etc.)
Wonderful question dear!
How to Take & Organize Notes on Witchcraft
Use what works You'll find with things like if it's handwritten or digital, it's going to entirely depend on the person. Be practical. Be realistic. What are you actually going to use? What is going to help you personally learn? This practice is like 90% studying, especially when you start. You want to make it easy for yourself.
Don't worry about a grimoire I've tried to make a grimoire TWICE now and it just becomes information that's not true, that I longer agree with, or that I won't use. We have reference books for a reason. Those aesthetic correspondence lists won't get you far, I promise. Focus on practical notes. Focus on notes about what you're actually doing. If at some point far down the line you feel you can organize that into some kind of long term grimoire, go for it, but as a newbie doing research? An aesthetic reference book is not what you need.
Use a binder I have yet to see someone mention using a binder for this and someone not go "Oh that's genius! I'm gonna do that" it's also what I use. Wonderful, simple tip. You can exchange out sheets if you don't like them and keep them in an ideal order. You can add new sections as you please. It's ideal.
Focus on a few topics It can be easy when you start to get really overwhelmed and make long lists of things you want to learn. That will come. For now so you can manage it and actually remember, focus on two or three topics at a time. Maybe pick something practical like warding and a couple topics you find really interesting. Remember, keep it fun and easy for yourself because you'll need to do a lot of it.
Highlighters! This might seem boring, or like duh, but seriously. If you've got a wall of text because that's how you had to or prefer to write it and there's something in there you really want to memorize or reference highlight it up. I also have a bunch of different colored highlighters, and when I'm taking notes for reference I like to highlight by very specific color for later. So for example if the usage of an herb is friendship, I highlight that in pink. I have a list of the colors, and what they mean. If I need all the herbs for friendship I have notes on at my finger tips I just flip and look for pink.
How many books to have, dividing, ect
This is going to vary by person greatly so I'm just going to explain how I do it to hopefully inspire you. I have a big binder that's split into two sections. The first section is a grimoire I don't use and will be redoing at some point. Since all the info just kind of came from my brain from studying over time it's more practical to go by topic so I just arranged the topics in the order that made sense to me . Mostly basics first, more advanced and detailed stuff later. The second section is more a book of shadows/journal/recording mad scientist experiments type thing. I've got spells I wrote, sigils I designed, divination readings, intuitive feelings/weird experiences, stuff like that in there. That makes up the majority of it and that's what I would focus on. Reflection is so helpful for perfecting your craft. It is divided by chronological order currently so it's just a mess currently. At some point I will probably even divide that second section into groups too. The spells and sigils will likely become part of that grimoire I'll eventually get onto making. Then maybe I'll have a separate tarot journal. Something like that. You might prefer having 5 separate books, organizing by source, or something else. This was just to spark your inspiration, ideas and preferences.
Details I would recommend keeping in all notes:
Topic/topics
Source
Date
Any thoughts, things to fact check later, ect
Notes ideas for things like spells:
Type of spell
Intent
The time/day/moon phase you did it
Everything you used
Steps/the order you did it in
Any words/chants used
Any substitutions made
Additional notes/thoughts
I hope that helps & addresses all your concerns! The examples you gave were super helpful for getting my brain going 💕

Magickal Uses for Kisses
A kiss is a very powerful thing, even in fairytales and lore of the past the power of kisses are told of (true love’s kiss, siren/mermaid kiss, first kiss, etc). a kiss can be a powerful tool for any witch. Here are a few suggestions for using kisses and the power they hold.
Use a kiss to charge objects: crystals, tarot cards, charms, amulets, etc etc. Use it to send your emotions and energy into the object. Love is a good emotion, but any positive energies you wish to charge the object with can be transferred this way. Adding your love to something can really give it a boost as well! Especially if it is for another to use. (Note: do not kiss toxic stones please! Be safe and smart)
Spell Sealing: Use a kiss to magically seal spells such as jar and bottle spells or use it to strengthen a (cooled!) wax seal. Imagine placing the kiss its like placing an invisible seal upon it, stamping in energy to lock th spell inside.
For Air and Wind spells: For all of my fellow witches who use air and wind spells, blowing a kiss after a chant or spell to summon a wind in the direction you wish it to blow is a good way to guide the wind but also show it positive reinforcement. Use it to show your gratitude for the wind’s cooperation. It is best for gentler wind spells.
Glamour and Beauty spells: Kiss the mirror after a beauty or glamour spell. Thank the mirror for its aid and seal any negativity into it. It also a wonderful way to reflect love back at yourself!
Love Spells: Kisses are great for powering up love spells! Kiss a candle before lighting it (careful if you are using essential oils be sure not to kiss where they are), kiss the written name of the one you desire, kiss a charm or amulet to help bring love into your life, and finally blow a kiss when finishing the the spell to close it.
Kitchen Magic: blow a kiss to finish a dish (don’t be too close though, don’t want to spread germs) to put a final charge of love into it before serving it to others. Good for with tea and coffee spells too!
Public Magic: Want to remain discrete while casting a spell in public? Blow a kiss! Its much subtler than pointing or hand motions, especially if it is a positive spell you are casting on another or a friend but it is also good for curses, either way its a wonderful way to send your intentions. Whisper the words or chant needed for the spell (if any) under your breath, imagine them them gathering in an orb of energy at your lips as you do so. Then do a subtle kiss motion on your lips (no hands and no ‘fish lips’, you are trying to be subtle). Then release the energy and words towards the target with a gentle blow of breath, sending the ball of energy in that direction.
Mourning/Remembrance Rituals: Ending such a ritual with a blown kiss to close it can help release your feelings in a positive manner and close the ritual with love and sincerity.
Thanking tools: As someone who uses tarot cards and many other divination tools, I like to place gentle kisses to the sides of the decks after using them to help bond with them. To show them my gratitude for assisting me in not only readings but also in my spell work. I also before days where I know i will be doing a lot of divination work, I will kiss them to help charge them up (as said above). It is an excellent way to bond with your tools!

hi! i want to be a witch, but i have a few problems. for example, my family is really against witchcraft so i cant really have altars or anything of the sorts. i got lucky and was able to buy a tarot deck but thats it. i feel like im a failure as a witch and that i cant even practice magic. do you guys have any tips?
For starters, you aren't a failure. We all go through periods where we can't or just aren't doing magick. The time where you must be in the broom closet will pass. Onto some tips n tricks:
-You don't have to have an altar, but if it's something you feel you need, make a pocket altar. I made one with an altoids tin once.
-There are many things you can explain away, like candles/incense, crystals/fossils/shells, plants, meditation, and praying.
-There are things you can easily hide, like sigils, and knot magick. I like to keep a locket with a sigil and a tiny sachet in it.
-There are small things you can do, like stiring coffee/tea/your drink of choice with intent, choosing your clothing colors based on color meanings, and tracing sigils with your fingers on something.
-Learning any kind of art/craft can become your witchcraft as well. I like to embroider and draw, for example. Doing something like that gives you the perfect way to do some magick.
