I think I am officially Fandom Old. I am so worn out from the arguments on who's the top or the bottom (who cares), what is allowed to be written (anything you want, bejeebus), what is Problematic (I know, just tag it), what other people Should Do (they Should live their lives free of judgment). There isn't a Right Way to do things. Tag your stuff appropriately, don't read stuff you don't want to read, and leave other people (me) alone.

everyone kinda collectively agreed that Jake had a dark past or smth (abuse, bad parents/company, losing someone, him feeling like he wasnt enough, parental figures out of the picture, etc.) and [what happened to him] caused him to be that one cocky asshole of a pilot, tall walls built so high no one could get close to him except Javy (i need this explained)
in top gun 3 we need him and his friendship with Javy explained (the other daggers aswell but Jake in particular) and given a happy ending (with Rooster, obviously)
