I swear, I swear, I'm really back this time. I've been battling a monster of a headache. Severe pain and nausea -- the whole shebang. I had a visit to my neuro yesterday and got back on some of my old meds again. I hate it, but it did work for me. Hey there, Lovelies.💋 We've been in North Dakota since last Thursday (a week ago last Thursday) and just got home a few hours ago. My brother-in-law (D's brother) had a mild heart attack on Wednesday of last week so we rushed to be there. He's doing well and back at home after getting a stent put in. As soon as his recovery improves enough, he and his twin brother will be coming to stay with us for a while. It'll be a load off D's mind and mine. He lost his mom (and the mother of my heart) not too long ago and he worries about his baby bros. No big surprise there. . Anyway, in the rush to get out of town, I accidentally left my phone here at home in Texas. I couldn't remember (big shocker!😲 Not!) anyone's phone numbers or my log in stuff for IG or Fb. Ugh. *slaps head... but not too hard -- headache* . I was reminded, though, that life is terribly short and flies by so quickly. Always say what needs to be heard by your loved ones; do what needs to be done for the ones you adore; give and receive the love you and they (whoever 'they' are) richly deserve because you just never know when you won't get that chance again. Live like there's no tomorrow, because it's always going to be today anyway since tomorrow never comes. That's my rambling advice for all of us. . Welp, I'm exhausted and need a serious nap that lasts a week.😴 *yawn that cracks my jaw* I think I'm gonna go do that... not the yawning -- the napping. Heehee.😉 . Have a great weekend, y'all. Ha!😂 Now that's an insult! Hey, hey, hey, y'all. I'm slow as molasses, I know, but I've been writing like crazy, (except for yesterday which was our family day). Each time I pick up my phone to post something, my characters starts screaming at me to finish-finish-FINISH! I think they're tired of having half-completed scenes and chapters about themselves. Yes, I'm a little insane and my characters do talk to me.😛 . 🌟Shine, baby, shine☄💫 Happy Tuesday, y'all. Just wanted to throw out a little encouragement to anyone that needs it. Strength always comes from struggle. Always. If you lift weights, you know this. Whenever there is a struggle, a push and pull situation, strength comes when we endure it to the end. It's not easy to become a strong person, but it's worth it in the end. . Some of you know my story, my ugly past. Even now, when my life is so beautiful, the past will creep back into my head, digging deep down to the bone, clawing jagged marks into my soul. Sounds overly dramatic, but that's the way it feels sometimes. BUT!! I have a choice in those moments: let it eat away at my joy and happiness and let it take control of me OR remember where I am right now. I CHOOSE TO SHINE. I made it through all of that. I have the scars to prove that I AM A SURVIVOR! . Your turn now. Whatever beat you down, whatever loss you endured, whoever told you that you were nothing: you are here right now -- you came out on the other side -- you struggled and still struggle and you are strong because of it. Yes!!🔥💯 Even on a Monday. Happy Day, y'all! . We're already on our way back home from our long-ass drive to San Antonio. Doctors appointment for me and it went great. My neuro is happy with my recovery time and how well I'm still doing. Woot! I've started having headaches again but they love been extremely mild and easily relieved with meds. I'm so grateful!! .
