i just need to clear up some confusion because i've seen a few girls on pinterest who genuinely believed itoshi sae was 5'9" 😭.

he's 5'11" !!! (2.54 cm away from being 6'0")

however, i do see how this misunderstanding came about. when you search up '180 cm in feet' , this shows up:

butttt, i need to clarify that this is 5 point 9 FEET (five full feet and 0.9 of another foot), not 5 feet and 9 inches.

so, 180cm = 5.9 feet = 5'11" (five foot eleven).

summer in madrid

“sae! i just arrived in madrid, i’m heading to your hotel now, but its so hot. i don’t understand how you can train under this sun.. anyways, i’ll be there in a few minutes! love you!”

he played the voice message once more, closing his eyes and imagining you in his arms. if only the date was in june 2025 instead of ‘24.

he let out a deep sigh when the voice message ended, basking in the silence of his apartment. he opened his eyes once again, starting to type on his screen.

his lips threatened to twitch downwards after he got the confirmation you really weren’t coming to visit him this year. who was going to go seagaze with him? who was going to take walks at the local market with him to buy fruits? just… who was going to accompany him this summer?

he’s only looked forward to summer every year since you got together. summer is when you two met. summer is when you two confessed to each other. summer is when you both could be together— and he’s found himself dreading the end of summer, the time where it used to be his favourite, because it meant you had to leave his arms once again.

his hand reached up to rub his face, trying to hide the frown on his face because theres no way he’s getting upset over this. sae shifted around in his bed until his face was buried deep into the pillows, “might as well just suffocate myself now if i have to wait another year to see her.” he mumbled into his pillow like a toddler who just got scolded by his mom.

and thats when it hit him. how long ago has he been this upset over something?

well. good to know his feelings for you aren’t fake. he took another deep breath and shuffled out of bed, opening his laptop and looking through his schedule, flight tickets to your city and his drivers schedule too. and he swear he was almost threw the laptop towards the wall when someone knocked on his door, “parcel deliveryy!” what the hell did his manager get him this time??

he left his laptop open, standing up from his desk chair which caused a loud screech against the marble floor, walking over to the door. “leave it there. i’ll take it later.” the delivery person stuttered, as if it wasn’t going to plan. “uhh, but- sae- sir! i mean sir! you need to sign these..”

…its as if something in his mind clicked, he doesn’t know what exactly, but, “say that again?” “um! you need to sign these documents?..” your voice.

sae didn’t hesitate to open the door, it swung open and hit the wall beside it, and there you were. holding a luggage, an obnoxiously large seagull plushie and a plastic bag filled with salted kombucha. “surprise!” you said as if it wasn’t the obvious thing in the world that you were the one behind the door. but, he could only focus on your bright smile. one that he’s been deprived of for months, and he doesn’t ever want to take his eyes off of it.

“..oh.. oh, you got me, sweetheart.” if you used a microscope, you’d be able to see saes lips twitched the slightest bit upwards as he leaned in for a quick kiss. “go and get yourself settled in hm? you know your way around.” he leaned in again to kiss your head, pinching your cheek as he grabbed everything in your hands including the luggage as if they were the lightest things in the world. “wasn’t my act so good? parcel delivery, then i even tricked you to coming out!”

you walked into the apartment like it was your own house, closing the door behind you as sae set everything down onto the bed, then immediately speed walking towards you to hug you tightly in his arms. “mhm. you tricked me so well.” he paused, taking a deep inhale of your scent. “..the markets open tomorrow. are you craving strawberries?” you gasp, nodding furiously. “obviously! please can we go??” “yes. yes, of course.”

“oh and.. by the way, why were you looking at flight tickets to my city?” your eyes darted towards the open laptop, and sae immediately reaches out to shut it, as if nothing was ever there. “no reason.” and naturally, you laughed at him. and fuck, did he miss this. missed your laugh, your cries, your whines about the heat, the faces you made when a strawberry was too sour— he missed you. and while you were still going on with your laughing fit, he blurted out, “i missed you so much. i love you.” and that immediately shut you up.

“hey??— what?? say that again! i didn’t hear!” “too bad. i don’t like repeating myself.” and the night ended with you tickling the information out of him.
