This has been a wonderful RP but due to circumstances and the TLC we believe this group needs, we’ve decided not to string you all along any longer. So, I'm wanting to apply as Santana, but I'm a little unsure on some backstory. Devon wrote in her bio that Santana was kicked out of the house at 16, but I assume this was before a triplet was added. Is that something I should keep in my bio?

Our Devon has actually been looking to rewrite her bio given Santana has left, so I’d message her and you guys can work out an easier backstory!

Born to two kind but strict parents, Sam grew up in a loving southern family who all took care of each other. They weren’t the richest family but they managed and Sam never wondered if people cared about him or if his family would have each other’s back. Even when he was fourteen and realized that guys got him just as hot and bothered as girls did, he wasn’t scared of telling his mom and dad. They asked that he be safe, that he be careful and he agreed to avoid telling people in their city, knowing it wasn’t exactly welcoming.

When he got older, Sam’s dad struggled to find work. Times were hard and they had to move out of their apartment and into a motel that they only paid for with Sam’s dad working janitorial. Sam began to strip to make money to help his family. He had a fake ID so no one questioned that he wasn’t quite 18. He didn’t tell his parents where he was working, claiming he was working a few other part time places, but he finally felt like he was helping. He wanted to do something with his life, wanted to be a model or something but he wasn’t smart or attractive enough to do much else other than stripping. He started to drink at a young age to not have to think about what he was doing. He passed high school by the skin of his teeth and continued stripping to keep making money for his family. He even occasionally crossed the line into a little more once he was officially 18.

He started to get into drugs and worse into alcohol to dull the feelings of failure. He felt pathetic and like he wasn’t good for anything. He started working out in his spare time, pushing himself too far, extreme dieting trying to feel better about himself and who he was. But it didn’t work. He felt like he was spiraling.

One day while he was working, a man approached him about a private dance. But when he went to give him the dance, the man stopped him. He introduced himself as Adam and said that he had an offer. He had a place that Sam could stay where he wouldn’t have to worry about rent or food. He could find a normal, stable job and send money back to his family without struggling to eat. Sam barely had to think about it before accepting.

BIO: Nikita Kaelin Schuyler is the niece of Safe Haven founder, Adam Schuyler. She’s the middle child and only daughter of three siblings, with an older and younger brother. The San Diego native had a little better than most in terms of an upbringing, but she took it for granted most of her life. Being the only girl had it’s ups and downs, but Nikita - nicknamed Nikki - loved her brothers more than anything. she never really wanted much of anything, but she had to fight for the opportunity to be an archer. Learning everything about the bow and arrow, learning to control her breathing and steady her hand to fire correctly and the different holds of the string made Nikita smile bigger than she ever did. As she got older, though, she got picked up because archery was 'a boy’s thing’ and she didn’t want to be a boy. She announced she no longer wanted to go to her classes or competitions, but her older brother helped her set up a little archery station in the large backyard of their home. She still had a part of her joy.

Her sophomore year of high school was the first time Nikita really felt the need to feel validated when her parents became more involved in working. Her younger brother was a freshman, her older brother a sophomore in college and their parents believed that she and her baby brother could handle themselves. While the new freedom gave her a chance to realize she was great at art, Nikki didn’t take to the long lengths of time alone very well, suddenly almost always alone with a maid to clean up after she and her brother and to make up for the lack of attention by dating a senior football player off an on. The sex was great, but it wasn’t enough. They argued a lot, and often broke up because her boyfriend would choose his friends over spending time with her. The two were on and off again all though Nikki’s last three years, so much so that girls stopped going after him and boys only wanted to be friends with her. They went to several parties, and on more than one occasion Nikki was arrested, let go and even kept overnight for her involvement with varies pranks and such that her boyfriend and the others on the football team got involved in. She always managed to talk her way out of any charges, though, and often she got her way. After graduation was an entirely different story, though.  

Her boyfriend chose a local college, and Nikki wanted to follow an art program in LA. It caused a massive argument and he walked out of Nikki’s life. Nikki packed and moved to Los Angeles, but it didn’t go very well. She attempted to join a sorority, but when part of the way to get in was to let several boys from the leading fraternity have their way with her, Nikita backed out. It didn’t matter. A group of the boys followed her back to her dorm and gang raped her, which led to Nikita’s eventual dropping out and moving home. She became angry, sarcastic, even got in a little more trouble because she refused to open up about what had happened. After she interrupted her younger brother’s graduation to start a wet t-shirt contest, her parents had had enough and sent her to her Uncle Adam in New York.

She’s just arrived at the complex and while she does the work asked of her, she tends to not leave the premises, scared to go outside the building for any reason but hating how scared she is to live.
