Grandma's quilt, finished at last 💙

I finally finished this quilt for my grandmother, who passed away a year ago today. All the design elements were picked just for her - blue was her favorite color and she adored polka dots. The star fabrics came from a curated bundle called "Swim" that evokes swimming pools and tropical plants - she lived in Florida for most of my life, and we had many happy memories swimming together in her retirement pool.

Though she never got to sleep under it, she did see the completed patchwork top and she loved it, she hugged me so tight. I will remember the strength of that hug every time I sleep under this quilt. I love her and I will never stop missing her.

Five years ago today, I got my little cat Babka! Here is a risograph minicomic I made earlier this year about how you can make him from scratch at home.
