There are a few changes: hot new graphics for a black background, you can choose your own pronouns, stats have a new look, and you can wear glasses and/or contact lenses alongside other minor editorial stuff. If there are any problems with your saves then please restart the game as I assume previous saves will be broken.

It's been a long time since the last update. This is the most nervous I've been about an update for a while, so I really hope you enjoy this one. And, alongside all of that, let me know your thoughts on the chapter.

Good news. Chapter ten will be yours to read on the 8th of July at 1:30pm bst. Those on the Golden tier of my Patreon can read chapter ten now. Those on the silver and bronze tier will get early access this Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.

I often wonder whether this chapter or my dissertation was easier to write, but I really am still up in the air about the answer to that because both took a lot out of me. It's been a very long time since a demo update but hopefully, this will be worth the wait when you get to read the continuation of fake dating and experience high stakes, blackmail and found family.

as some of you already noticed, the laidback/intimidating and independent/collaborative stats have been overhauled from the game. don't be alarmed; it was a decision on my part. i've decided to get rid of them because i didn't feel like they added much to the story in terms of flavour text and also, doing this gives me space to focus on enhancing the other stats.

1. What’s their full name? Why was that chosen? Does it mean anything?

her full name is freya watson, she has no middle names. the name freya was chosen because it was her grandmother's name and her parents found it easiest to choose and didn't want to bother looking further. her name doesn't hold much meaning to her.

41. What’s their sexuality? What do they find attractive? Physically and mentally? What do they like/need in a relationship?

freya is bisexual. she finds honesty, confidence and the ability to be a good listener attractive. freya loves dark haired people, she loves tattoos and she finds long hair so attractive as well but she overall doesn't have a type. in a relationship, she needs someone to understand her, listen to her and with whom she can spend quality time with. she likes physical touch, running her hand through her partner's hair, hugs ...

45. How do other people see them? Is it similar to how they see themselves?

freya is seen as a cheerful extrovert, always smiling, happy most of the time. people also see her as confident and laid-back.

she would agree with how people see her, but she knows they only see what she wants to show them: she can also be very thoughful, and her sadness is more common than people might expect. freya's also quite sarcastic. she sees herself as more complex than people think she is.

sage collects plants, small plants. she has them all around her apartment, in whatever room is best for them, in her work office as well. she loves taking care of them.

sage is not a huge fan of pranks, she prefers "basic" jokes and little funny notes left on her desk, funny faces, simple things overall. she has a good sense of humour, she'll laugh easily and openly, but i wouldn't consider her a funny person? she's not one to make jokes often.

okay, sage actually has two favourite seasons: spring and summer. she likes sunny weather the best, she's good with a light breeze but she is not good in the cold. she's not one to complain in general, but rainy days will bring some complaints from her.

Assuming they're not on the road and safely resting somewhere in a town or a city, in a private bedroom-

R - A long, fitted silk nightgown, including a sheer robe for when they're walking around. It's as pretty and embroidered as you'd expect from R, but also warded with runes to regulate their temperature while sleeping.

A & D - A loose and shapeless long-sleeved gown at about knee-length, it's the most common kind of sleepwear. Comfortable fabric, but otherwise plain.

X - Nothing ;)

I'm not sure if someone asked this before, but it didn't show up when i looked it up, so i hope not. how would the LIs react to their lover (Crown or not) wearing their clothes? i know it's cliche I'm sorry 💀

It's a cliche for a reason ✨

X - Very, very, very self-satisfied. Smugness itself. Absolutely insufferable about it. On some, "you liiiiiike me!" type of teasing. Starts offering more of their clothes for their lover to wear, and would be especially pleased if their lover showed it off to other people.

A - Thinks it's the cutest thing ever, but would probably keep it to themselves. They don't want to make a big deal out of it in case it would embarrass their lover, but internally, they would definitely find it so endearing.

R - Honestly, R is the most likely to wear their lover's clothes as well, so seeing it reciprocated or seeing their lover do it first would absolutely delight them. There'll definitely be a lot of clothes-swapping in their relationship haha.

D - Honestly? Might not even notice at first. Because they're dressed in armor so often they might not even recognize it's their clothes their lover is wearing since they forget what's in their own wardrobe half the time lol. But once they realize it, they'd also think it was very cute.
