a bit late, but ahhh hello friends!! i’m super excited this has finally opened, so here i am to introduce my boi gunwoo aka gun. his bio is... long, to say the least, so below the cut is a tl;dr of his history (which admittedly still ended up long for a tl;dr heh) and here is his profile page! aside from that, i am wholly unprepared bc i’m currently overseas and a bit busy, so i don’t have any open plots or anything rn but i still would really love to plot with you guys so!! give this a like if you want me to hop into your im’s, or feel free to jump into mine first (alternatively, i do have discord and twitter so if you’d rather plot on either of those just lmk)! 

but! anyway! let me present to you: son gunwoo

tw; suicide (when the military section comes up) 

(accidentally) born and raised in daegu in a small, rundown apartment

his parents worked a lot and pretty much neglected (and resented) him

his older brother pretty much raised him in his earlier years 

until his brother turned into a teen and hung out w/his friends more

leaving gunwoo to his own devices and feeling wholly unwanted 

to overcompensate for that, he started acting out to get people to like him

worked like a charm, but still he didn’t believe it and wasn’t close to any of his friends

except one of them, which will be important later i promise

seemingly random transition: he broke a guitar at a music shop when he was fifteen

since he couldn’t pay it off, he worked it off instead every day after school

somewhere along the way while working there, he fell in love with drums

so even after he payed off the guitar, he continued working there to borrow a drum set

spent most of his teen life playing guitar and generally falling in love w/music 

he jammed w/his friends casually, and while that didn’t go anywhere he got a taste of composing music and started considering it as a career path

planned to go to college for it after graduating, but instead enlisted for mandatory service with his previously mentioned best friend

they ended up in the same squad, but after some mishap and getting outcasted by their squad, his best friend couldn’t take it anymore and jumped off a roof

who yelled at him, trying to stop him

but, obviously, failed to do so

anyway that haunted him for the rest of his enlistment, brought him down into depression, during which he tried multiple times to follow minjoon’s footsteps

but he never could do it 

eventually, he got discharged and after returning to daegu he packed his bags and moved to seoul and crashed at his brother’s place for a while

spent his first few months there just working part-time and drinking night after night to chase the memories away

after a little while, it’s not enough, so he distracts himself with music

he buys himself a drum pad and starts messing around with producing beats, etc. 

falls in love with music again, so he applies for universities

gets accepted by dankook by nothing short of a miracle, so he moves to jukjeon and here he is now

it’s been a year since he’s been here and while it’s definitely no city, he’s gotten somewhat used to it, has made some friends and recently found himself playing drums again with a band
